The Lady Wants To Rest - Chapter 10
Sir Olivier was one of the best ‘Mana Owners’ of the Grand Duchy. It was near impossible that the princess would be able to leave the territory of the Grand Duchy without him noticing.
As Sir Olivier left, the butler asked.
“What will you do when the princess returns to the castle?”
“……”
The Grand Duke closed his mouth once more and did not respond.
The butler glanced at the Grand Duke with eyes of regret.
“I understand your Royal Highness’s feelings, but the princess has done no wrong.”
“… I know.”
A soft voice could be heard from the Grand Duke’s mouth. It was twisted voice, twisted as far it goes, filled with hate and guilt towards an unknown entity.
“… I know as well.”
Seeing such a figure of his master, the butler let out a sigh.

I, who returned to my room, packed my bags.
‘This was the best possible conclusion. If I had stayed here, there would have been too much unnecessary consumption of emotional labor.’
Usually, I would have attempted to adapt to this new life. I would have even tried my hardest to mend the bonds between myself and the stepmother and father.
However, not this time.
It was all too tedious, and I merely wished to rest comfortably.
‘I need my outdoor clothes. There are no sleeping bags. I’ll just take the blankets.’
I’ve been alive for a thousand years. I’ve traveled to the point of exhaustion. Even if I had reincarnated into the frail body of a female aristocrat, there was no reason for me to avoid traveling.
‘Valuables… None.’
I frowned in the middle of packing.
I had searched through the entire place, but Rubia had no valuables that could be sold. The sun was setting, and I had no money to find a place to rest.
‘Well, I can just earn money.’
I thought to myself calmly.
It was just troublesome, but there were many ways to earn money.
‘Let’s go.’
I changed into my outdoor clothes and tied up my silver hair. After firmly checking the few things I had packed, I left the room. There would never be a reason for me to ever step foot into this castle ever again.
However, I ran into an unexpected figure in the corridors.
A youth of shining silver hair, stern blue eyes, and a sharp impression.
Rubia’s stepbrother, Viscount Sabien.
“What do you think you’re doing, Rubia?”
It was a voice filled with indignation, so I ended up looking at him blankly.
“I’m leaving the castle.”
“The castle? Are you joking?”
He had on an expression as if he was suppressing his anger.
As a result, the uncertainty in my heart grew larger.
Why was he doing so suddenly? Was it that he now wanted to act like a brother?
‘He should have done better while he had time.’
I was about to corner him indifferently, but I had a sudden change of heart.
There was no reason to part on bad terms. After all, this would be the last time he would see his younger sister.
“I’m sorry, but I thought this was the best possible decision.”
“Leaving the castle is the best possible decision? Are you being serious…?”
“Or do you have a better solution?”
I looked straight into his blue eyes.
“Had there been a better solution, then the situation would have no reason to carry so far.”
Sabien’s eyes trembled at my words. I watched motionlessly as guilt passed through his face.
“That….”
Sabien, just like the Grand Duke, merely fluttered his lips but was unable to say anything. That is, there was nothing for him to say.
I thought that Rubia, this body’s original owner, would feel a little happy seeing this side of Sabien.
Of course, no matter how much the Roxanne Grand Ducal Family was to regret, it was already long after the storm had passed. Because ‘Rubia’ was no longer here.
I’ve realized after repeating life after life, humans frequently regretted long after the fact. Though that was why they were humans.
“Then, I shall take my leave. Please be healthy.”
Once again, I turned around to leave the castle.
“Wait!”
But at that moment, Sabien took hold of my hand and pulled.
