The Last Chance I Could Live - Chapter 10
Aldrich’s loud scream shocked her and she saw there was a car behind them that moved forward toward them.
Kayla could feel Aldrich’s hands pushed her, but with her excellent reflexes, she successfully managed to pull his hands.
BANG!
The car crashed into the bus stop and they fell down to the ground beside the car.
That was close because if Kayla didn’t pull Aldrich’s hands, she would see his body lying there with blood all over his body.
The accident that occurred caused chaos on the streets. The streets became jammed and many people had gathered to see the scene. Several people also called the police about the accident.
“Kayla! Kayla! Are you alright?” Aldrich shook her body to wake her from her shock.
Kayla, who heard his voice, turned her eyes to look at Aldrich and found that green eyes somehow attractive.
“I… I’m okay.”
Aldrich finally let out a sigh of relief. However, he couldn’t sit still and needed to verify her condition.
“We couldn’t sit here. Let’s go back to the hospital and let’s do the check-up first.” Aldrich stood up. He helped Kayla to stand up but, something happened.
“Aww…” Kayla grimaced when she felt hurt in his foot.
“What happened?”
“I think I sprained my ankle.”
One of the people in the street came to talk to Kayla and Aldrich, “Do you guys alright?”
Aldrich shook his head and answered, “No, looks like my friend sprained her ankle. She needs to be treated right away.”
“Wait for the police first since you guys are the victim.”
Aldrich glanced at Kayla and Kayla responded to him with a slight nod.
“Okay.”
Not long after that, the police came and they quickly asked Aldrich and Kayla about what happened.
The questions were over and they were allowed to leave, but they still needed to come to the police office to do some paper.
They nodded and the police left them alone.
They breathed out at the same time. Suddenly, Aldrich squatted down in front of Kayla.
“What are you doing?”
Kayla said as she wondered about what he was doing.
“You sprained your ankle, right? Quickly climbed onto my back.”
Kayla’s face was flushed like a red tomato. She was embarrassed about being carried like this.
However, she still climbed up and crossed her hands to his neck.
“Thank you for saving me,” Kayla said after the incident.
“No, it should be me who thanks to you. Don’t speak anymore. I couldn’t focus to walk since you are so heavy.” Said Aldrich with a smile on his face.
“What? I’m not heavy!” Kayla didn’t accept being called heavy and smacked his shoulder.
The laughter filled the rest of the night like a bird’s sing every morning.

Meanwhile, in VIP room number 3, there was a guy who laid on the floor with sweats that covered his body.
A sound that could only be heard by him slowly waking him up from his beauty sleep.
“What’s this sound?”
He rubbed his eyes and looked at the white ceilings in front of him.
“Master, you woke up late. There is only 2 minutes before the quest end.”
“What?!” Jeffrey immediately sat up and looked at the clock on the wall.
He quickly said, “Daily Quest.”
The notification window showed up.

The sudden change made Jeffrey’s head dizzy.
Before, all he could see only the white room.
But now, he only saw a brick wall around him and the darkness.
The only light he could see was the torches in the wall.
Jeffrey’s mind sent him a danger signal and after that, he could hear something moving forward.
“Shit! I didn’t have any weapons!”
He cursed and ran before that thing came close to him.
He turned back and found an intersection. He quickly turned left and found a room to hide.
But, little did he know that inside the room, there was something scarier than the one before.
After closing the door, Jeffrey moved back slowly, and finally, he heard a silent his behind him.
The hiss slowly became loud and he turned his head and saw a huge snake with three heads looking at him.
“Fuck!”
Jeffrey quickly moved before the snake could shot him with some purple liquids from its mouth.
Jeffrey’s judge that if he stayed here any longer that he would definitely be dead.
He ran towards the door and finally could leave the room. He thoughts that he would be saved but the snake was following him.
He was forced to run.
“Damn it! Why can’t it leave me alone?”
Jeffrey’s stamina was zero and that made him drained his health a lot.

He ran, ran, and ran. He didn’t know how many times has passed. He could only feel that his body became weak.
He found the intersection from before and when he wanted to turn right, he saw a large Orc slowly approached him.
When the Orc saw him, his eyes became bloodlust and he growled like he successfully found delicious meat.
“Crap, crap, crap!”
Now, not only the 3-Head-Snake that chased after him but the Orc also chased him.
He decided to turn left and ran away from them.

He saw a lot of the notification windows in front of him but, he couldn’t give it a damn about it.
If he died then that system would be no longer has any meaning.
“Page, are you there?” He tried to call Page.
“Yes, master.” She replied with her usual tone.
“Help me find a way out of this place!”
“Master, there is no way out of this place.”
“What? Then… then, tell me a way that there are no other monsters!”
“Okay, master you could turn right in the next intersection.” Page directed him away with the least monsters.
His feet turned right.
“Then, turn right at the next T-junction.”
He turned right at his fastest speed.

He looked behind and that monsters still chased after him. He then kept following Page’s instruction.
“There is an intersection ahead. You can turn left.”
When he wanted to turn left, he saw a group of goblins inside.
“Goblins? Page, why are there 5 goblins in here?” He asked her with a fit of slight anger.
“If you move forward, then you will find a group of 10 wolves.”
ROARRRR!
The voice of the Orc gave him a shock. He quickly turned left from the intersection and fortunately, there was not a monster in this way.

“Damn it!!”
He kept ran as fast as he could. When his sight started to turn blurry, he found a dark circle in front of him.
Without a care about it, he immediately jumped through the circle and magically went back to his room.
He was panting and laying down on the floor.
The nurse that patrolling in the night shift frowned because she heard a loud thud inside VIP room 3.
She decided to open it and found Jeffrey already unconscious on the floor.
“Patient! Are you alright?” The nurse shook his body.
