The Last Chance I Could Live - Chapter 14
The alarm from the system once again rang in his head. The sound was too loud and fortunately, only he could hear it.
The room in VIP number 3 was quiet. The sun has not risen so the birds have not sung their song. Because it was almost summer, Jeffrey felt warm all over his body. In addition to his mother who still slept while hugging him made his body hot.
However, he didn’t find it annoying rather he felt grateful. He never had a chance to be loved or love his parents, so experiencing something different from his first life before was like a miracle for him.
Jeffrey with his small body that reached 90 cm, scratched his head and yawned.
The room was dark, but he still could see the design. Its wall was white and in front of his bed, there was a television. Beside him, there was a side table to put his drink and anything he needs. There was also the phone that was given to him by Ascalapus on it.
On the side of the room, there was also a couch that was used by Eden. The quiet room from before was no longer there instead the room felt full by his mother and Eden’s presence.
It was a good thing, yet also a bad thing.
The bad thing is that he couldn’t do the daily quest nor looked at his status window inside the room since they would ask him about that.
He sat up and climbed down from the bed. He better hurried up while the clock was still 4 a.m. He didn’t want to worry about his mother again.
He was silently tiptoeing as he came closer to the door.
When he finally went outside, he exhaled his breath.
His destination was the place from yesterday. He needed to complete the daily quest as fast as he could.
In a while, he arrived at that place. He sat at the same place as before and said, “Status.”

When he analyzed his status window, he got curious and asked Page, “Page, what can I do to raise my speed to completed the daily quest?”
“Master, you can’t finish it too fast. If you forced your body to finish it, then your body couldn’t handle the pressure. So, I recommend for you to raise your HP first.”
“Right… I forgot that my body has The Black Curse.”
He followed Page’s recommendation and upgrade his health.
“Used 6 the accumulation status points to my health and the rest to energy.”
After being processed, he felt something different from his body. He didn’t know why but he felt a lot healthier.
He said, “Status.”
The new status window opened up and he quickly analyzed it.

Jeffrey nodded and started to do his daily quest. Although he felt like there was nothing changed in the term of speed, he successfully finished it before 8 a.m.
He got the rewards and decided to went back before his mother started looking for him again.
When he wanted to go, he heard a sound in the bushes.
He quickly turned his head to look at the sound.
He cautiously came closer and he saw a beautiful child sleeping inside the bushes.
“What… Is she alive?”
Jeffrey approached the child and touched her hands. “It is warm and… thank god, she is breathing.”
“Page, could you scan the condition of this girl?”
“Yes, master.”
His sight suddenly became black and white like when he scanned the room before. He didn’t understand a single thing that happened to her, but Page quickly explained what was going on.
“Master, this child is in a state of shock. She has autism, so it makes her an antisocial person. Because of the changes in her surroundings, she must be quite afraid.”
“Autism?”
Before he could ask any more questions to Page, the child in front of him started to delirious and softly said, “Daddy…”
What a beautiful voice!
It was too bad that she has autism. Why didn’t she like to talk when she had a beautiful voice like that?
The voice he heard before was like a beautiful melody that had entered through his ears without asking.
He didn’t know why his heart was thumping this heart and why was his face flush. All he knew that he liked that voice.
“Master, for your safety and humanity, please remember your real age. You would commit a crime if I won’t stop you now.”
Page’s voice suddenly annoying him and he refuted, “W-what are you talking about? I’m just checking and thinking about what to do with this child.”
“Yes, isn’t to do something dangerous to a little child? Master, please refrain yourself.”
Jeffrey, “…”
Before he could reply for more, the child in front of him moved her body and slowly opened up her eyes.
The sudden appearance of Jeffrey made her sit up and moved her body back.
She glares at him cautiously yet terrified.
Seeing her reaction, he guessed that what Page said was true that she has autism.
He then smiled and said nothing to her, but stood up.
He turned his head towards her and invited her to follow him with his small hands.
The girl became perplexed as the boy didn’t talk anything to her. She also became curious as to why he wanted her to follow him.
Yet, she still stood up and cautiously follow him.
‘Where will he take me?” The child thought in her head.
‘Is he a human?’ The child once again thought in her head and doubted what she saw was real. She shook her head and thought, ‘No way, he looks too handsome to be a mere human.’
