The Last Chance I Could Live - Chapter 7
The sky was bright because the sun was especially shining brightly that day. The season was changing, from spring to summer.
Luckily, the weather was not that hot instead of just slightly warm. It was a good sign for Jeffrey.
This little guy succeeded in his mission to gain his health. Now, he had 9 points after waiting for three days. Jeffrey yawned as he tried to wake himself.
He rubbed his eyes and as usual, Page greeted him.
“Good morning, master. The weather for today is good and the temperature is 24C. It is 8 a.m. and a perfect time for stretching your weak body.”
Page kept talking all about today, whether it was food, wind, or the wave. Jeffrey opened up his eyes and he could see a notification window.
He sat upon his bed and said, “Page, stop it. I’m awake.”
“Alright, master. Today’s breakfast should be ready in ten minutes, do you want me to set up an alarm for that?” Page asked him with her usual monotone voice.
“No need.” He replied.
Jeffrey then started to click the notification window and good information was in there.
[ You can claim today’s point status. Do you want to claim it? (Y/N) ]
Without his knowing, his smile mouth answered, “Yes.”
Suddenly, a new notification window appeared before him. Before he continued, he just realized something amazing.
“Wait, I could operate the system with my voice?”
“Of course, master. This new system created by the great holy God, Ascalapus, was already updated. So, the system that accompanied you before was the old system.”
“So, it is like that. Cool! However, please refrain from calling that idiotic God with that. Because of him, I died three times!”
“The request is rejected. Page couldn’t obey master requests because of the lack of level. Please work hard to level up so you can request that again.”
Hearing the reply from Page, it was like a clue to his request. It was as simple as opening up canned corned beef. No, maybe it was slightly difficult.
He looked at the new notifications window in front of him.
[ Congratulations! You have claimed 3 Status Points. ]
After that, Jeffrey tried to open up his status window and said, “Status.”

The very next day he was back in his first life. He saw the difference in his status window which was ASP. Page said that ASP was Accumulative Status Point. It was a place to restore his unused status point from the system or the quest.
He decided to not used it after he got three points for the sake of satisfaction. He felt a lot more satisfied when he got a lot of points and could use it anywhere he wants, just like now.
“It is time to increase my health,” Jeffrey said with a smile on his face.
[ The Accumulative Status Point already has 9 points. Do you want to use it? (Y/N) ]
“Yes.”
[ Where do you want to use it? ]
“Of course, use 8 points to Health and 1 point to strength.”
[ Congratulations! You have increased your Health point by +1 point. ]
[ Congratulations! You have increased your Health point by +1 point. ]
[ Congratulations! You have increased your Health point by +1 point. ]
He got that same notification windows eight times and the last notification appeared in front of him.
[ Congratulations! You have increased your Strength point by +1 point. ]
He thought that the next thing he should do to ask Page. However, a notification window came out.
[ Due to your increase in Health, another status has been revealed. Please check your new status window. ]
“Wow, let me try it.” Jeffrey amazed at the new notification windows, so he said, “Status.”

“What is this energy for?” Jeffrey looked at his new status window and found some changes in that which was Energy.
“Open up the Energy information.”
After he said it, all of the information about Energy was being revealed.
[ Energy (0)
Description: Energy contains earth energy that can be used by the master of the system to activate some skills. ]
“Oh, so this is what Page was talking about before. This energy could be used to cure his illness!”
Jeffrey excited as he smiled from ear to ear. Before he could browse more, someone knocked on the door.
Sister Kayla came inside with a tray in her hands. As usual, the breakfast was a must for a patient.
So, the hospital never late to give their patients a meal. Unfortunately, the meal was just too healthy that he couldn’t taste anything.
“Little guy, here is your breakfast.” Kayla set a bed table for him and put his food down.
It was a healthy meal with a roasted toast, an egg, a sausage, one cake, and a light soup.
The hospital also gave him a cup of tea and a glass of milk in case he didn’t like the tea or if he didn’t like the milk, he could drink the tea.
“Thank you, sister Kayla. As usual, the meal is too healthy, you know?” Jeffrey threw a sarcastic joke and this nurse in front of him was quite the smart one.
She pinched his nose and said, “You naughty brat, if you don’t eat healthy food, then don’t regret it when you can’t go home.”
Jeffrey smiled. He knew that he would be stuck in here for a long time. Just not long ago, he remembered that his parents always changing his hospital.
Sometimes they would go to another country for a couple of months, sometimes they went back, and so on. However, his condition couldn’t keep up with it and got weakened. So, they stopped it.
A sudden notification came up.
[ Due to your increase in health, a quest has appeared. Do you want to take it? (Y/N) ]
Jeffrey’s lips turned up and said, “Yes.”
Sister Kayla replied with a nod and a slight smile. She stroked his head first, before leaving.
Kayla closed the door and smiled, “What a cute boy!”
[ A quest has been accepted. ]
