The Last Survivor - Chapter 93
Planer Gateway. A phenomenon created by a certain extinct race deep within the dimensional void.
Something Merlin had noticed was that all the authors within Archive were either dead, or part of an extinct race. He had not come across a single book which represented someone alive.
Anyway, the planer gateways are incredible miracles formed when the planer will of two separate planes agree to form a connection.
However, things don’t just ‘happen’ like that. There needs to be a ‘link’ as the author mentioned. A link was a being who crossed across to both planes, and was not only accepted by the planer wills, but also created anchors in both planes.
These anchors allowed the planes to locate each other and form Planer Gateways to each other, which was a stable form of transportation through the void. In a sense, it was a void elevator, or a teleportation gate which moved someone from one plane to another instantly.
In the sense, the stability of the planer gateway was directly proportional to the stability of the anchors. Once formed, the planer gateway could never be removed unless one of the 2 anchors were completely destroyed.
Even then, as long as the link appears once more and rebuilds the anchor, the gate would be formed without anyone interfering, even if the planer will no longer wanted the gateway to exist.
None of that mattered for now. Merlin had already become the link and gained the approval of the subordinate Earth’s will, and the Tsundere plane’s Planer will, and had also formed anchors on both planes in the form of the nation of Cayden, as well as the sub-tribes of the forest elves and demons.
Now all he needed to do was initiate the Planer Gateway.
For this, he had called over the two leaders of the main tribes as well as the sub-tribes.
Naturally, the main leaders came in the form of golems.
“Alright. Now that you both are here, let me tell you something. I did not come from this plane. I came from another plane, and now I’m about to great a permanent portal with my home plane.”
Just as the golems were about to speak, Merlin interjected, stopping them in their tracks.
“This topic is not up for discussion. The planer will of this plane has accepted this, and will work together with me to complete this gateway. I will be returning, and I don’t know when I will be able to return. But no need to worry, you old fogies cannot leave your own restricted areas, and no one else in this plane can hurt my Black knight.”
Although it was the truth, the old men still felt ashamed at this fact.
“All those within my territory will remain safe, and the rest can go f*ck themselves for all I care. That includes you two. I also hope you keep in mind that moving yourselves, or mobilising large armies to exterminate everyone in my territory will not only be putting the citizens of your own race who are present there in danger, not only will have to face the full on assault from my black knights but will also be facing me and my nation when I return.”
Merlin has specifically stressed on ‘knights’ and ‘my nation’ in order to show that there was more than one knight present here, and he had a whole army present on the other side of the portal.
However, the old men no longer wanted to kill each other. Both of them were already past that point, and their only meaning in life was to make sure their race survives.
“Alright then, I will be creating the portal in 10 minutes, and then leaving in another 10 minutes once I have made sure the portal is secure.”
Just as he turned around to initiate the portal creation process, the two golems spoke up simultaneously.
“We would like to send representatives to your nation!”
‘Now what?!’
Merlin was slightly irritated with this untimely interruption for some reason. His senses were telling him this couldn’t be anything good.
