The Last Survivor - Chapter 94
Merlin looked back at the two golems with hints of irritation, and anxiety mixed together in a blend of confusion.
“We both recognise that you will be the future master of this world after our existences fade away. And since your nation is in another world, we would request you to take representative from each of our races to represent our world in that nation.”
Merlin pondered for a moment before shrugging.
“Sure. I have plenty of magic stones to transfer people. 2 more is nothing. Sent them to me in within 20 minutes, If they aren’t there, I will grab the closest person from each of your races and leave.”
Nodding, the golems collapsed into their basic original forms, while each of the two tribes quickly went into a frenzy to select a representative, and send them over in time.
On the other hand, Merlin connected to the Planer will, and then tried to connect with Earth’s will. After around 7 minutes of trying to establish contact, the message finally sent through.
Now, the two planer wills were connected to each other through him, which made Merlin feel like a discord server for some reason. However, he quickly shook off the feeling and proceeded with his plans.
The two planes exchanged an incredible amount of information in an extremely short frame of time, which nearly caused Merlin to lose consciousness, however, Cortana and Philip butted in and shared the load. Yet, it was still too much, and the planes had to reduce the speed of transacting information due to this.
Another 6 minutes of excruciating pain passed, due to which Merlin had not realised but his body was currently glowing, with all the mana in the surrounding region being sucked into his body. Every living being on the plane felt it. It was the fear ingrained into their minds form the beginning of the world itself. The fear of the world changing fundamentally.
Even Merlin, who was not a resident of this world felt some of the changes due to his anchor on this plane. Merlin had slowly realised that the information the two planes were transmitting to each other was not normal information, but a battle. A battle between planes, and the loser would become the subordinate plane of the winner.
Time passed, and the representatives had quickly rushed over in order to not miss Merlin, who might leave at any moment int the chaos of the world changing.
Finally, with a low rumble, the world stopped changing, as it completely changed its laws to suit that of earth’s, and surrendered itself as a subordinate plane. Merlin looked up and stretched his hand to the sky, and all the mana that had gathered in his body during this process left him instantly.
The blinding white light zoomed through the air until it reached a certain point, where it stopped for a moment, before drilling into the fabric of space-time on this plane.
In the next 10 minutes, the planer gateway would be completed. Although 99% of Merlin’s mana had been depleted, it was not a permanent decrease in the total capacity of mana, but a decrease in the current amount of mana remaining. All he had to do was suck in all the mana around, and that is exactly what he did.
He sat down and for the next 10 minutes used one of the most efficient mana absorptions spells he had learned from Archive so far. During the past 10 years, not only was he increasing his total mana capacity and it purity, but he was also reading through as many books in archive as he possibly could in order to make the most of this extra time he got.
10 minutes later, he had recovered nearly 10% of his current total mana. With this, he opened his eyes since it was time to leave.
Turning around to search for the representatives of the two tribes, Merlin was confused for a moment. There were two ladies, each in rather contradictory conditions.
