The Law of Love With God - Chapter 5.2
Still Have To Take Exams In Another World!? (2)
“Lucia…” Athos had no clue what to do with this flower-like sister of his, and was at a loss on how to comfort her.
“Open your mouth.” Anna said coldly.
“Ah!” Lucia was still holding Athos’s leg, but her face already turned.
A piece of candy was stuffed into Lucia’s mouth, and she immediately ate the candy happily.
“…” Athos, whose tender feeling had been built up, looked at how Lucia instantly revived and became speechless.
“Just get used to it.” Ram patted Athos on the shoulder, “Lucia has always been easy to coax ever since she was small.”
This was way too easy to coax!
“Let’s go now.” Anna said solemnly and began to command, “Ram, you go to open the way. Athos, carry Lucia. I will follow next to you.”
With great difficulty, Brother Athos carried her all the way, and they finally reached the registration office for the exam. After the priest in charge filled in her information, Lucia finally entered the temple of Kulatha with a group of children.
Compared with the golden light outside the temple, the temple’s interior was even more majestic.
The carpets were woven from gold and silver threads, the pillars were carved from ivory and emerald, and the armor of every knight standing on the side were made of Cortana steel, which was more expensive than gold. Ordinary knights would be happy just to have a weapon made of Cortana steel, but the temple’s corridors were filled with full suits of armor, and they were treated just as ordinary decorations.
Lucia felt as if she had entered a fairyland, and her whole body felt dizzy. Although Lucia never believed in gods, the moment she walked into the temple, her faith was shaken like never before.
Ac, actually, following the god of wealth and luck seems like a good thing, right?
Lucia’s eyes swept through one treasure one after another, unable to take her gaze off these treasures at all.
“What a bumpkin.”
Out of nowhere, Lucia was being bad mouthed. She immediately entered a fighting state, and showed a sweet smile to look at the person who was talking next to her.
She was a very finely dressed girl. Compared to Lucia who was wearing simple cotton clothes, this girl wore silk clothes and all kinds of jewelry from bracelets to necklaces.
“Why are you looking at me?” The little girl looked at Lucia with disdain.
“Oh, I’ve never worn the clothes you’re wearing before!” Lucia covered her mouth with her little hands and looked at her with surprise and envy, “It looks so expensive.”
“Of course, this is Miffino village’s silk. One of these costs three hundred gold coins!” The gorgeously dressed girl immediately became proud.
“Oh, amazing! It’s amazing!” Lucia looked at the girl with admiration, “You are dressed so luxuriously, you must be a noble lady!”
The girl who had been arrogant at first stuttered a little, “…this, no, the nobles have already participated in the test a few days ago…”
“Is that so?” Lucia looked at her with regretful eyes. “So you’re not a noble. You knew this place so well, so I thought you must’ve been a noble.”
The girl blushed. She glanced at the others and felt that they were all staring at her with contempt, as if they despised her.
Seeing that the little girl stopped talking, Lucia smiled like an angel and asked, “Sister, why are you not talking? Can you tell me more about this?”
After muttering a few more words to mock her, the small, pitiful and helpless Lucia drooped her eyelashes and stopped talking, like a little white rabbit.
Because of her cute appearance and pitiful expression, the boys around her immediately felt sympathy and comforted Lucia.
Lucia’s beautiful blue eyes were misty as she looked at the little boys in front of her, making their blood boil, and all of them came to comfort Lucia.
“My father is a believer of Kulatha, so I often come here. You can ask me if there’s anything you don’t know.” A little green-haired boy patted his chest to comfort her, “I will definitely tell you!”
“You’re so amazing!” Lucia looked at them with admiration.
So the children start blabbering and telling her all kinds of stuff about the elementary school entrance test.
The test here was divided into three parts; knowledge, physical strength, and suitability to become a priest – Lucia already knew this before.
She was just a little curious, how exactly would one judge whether a person was suitable to be a priest?
But she still smiled and said meaningless words like “wow”, “amazing” and “great” to satisfy the curiosity of these little boys.
By the time the first exam was going to start, Lucia had become the center of the candidates.
They didn’t know that all of these were observed by the examiners.
Through the magic of the God of Secrets and Knowledge, several examiners had seen this small conflict with their eyes.
They didn’t care about such small conflicts, after all, they had seen all kinds of things in the exams over the years.
At this moment, their minds were not on these civilians.
“It’s a pity you didn’t come yesterday! When Miss Flora prayed yesterday, half of the gods answered her prayer!”
“That’s amazing! But it’s to be expected, after all, Miss Flora is so outstanding!”
“Even the Radiant Lord, the Goddess of Autumn and the God of Wealth favors Miss Flora. Ah… If I were her, I would definitely be in a dilemma. Which great god should I serve?”
The young priest who had been standing beside the mirror and staring intently at the picture turned his head.
He smiled and said, “Okay, it’s time to meet the children.”
The young priests who were chatting immediately stopped and responded respectfully, “Yes, Lord Razelt.”
“Be sure to treat every child fairly and justly.” Razelt gave gentle yet strict instructions, “Regardless of their origins and ability, they are all equal before the gods.”
“Understood.”
The group sorted out their robes and walked to the test location.
