The Law of Love With God - Chapter 8.2
The Loved One (2)
Razelt and Louisa looked at each other, and both saw surprise in the other’s eyes.
Normally, this shouldn’t be the case.
Before this, Flora, whose qualifications were close to Lucia’s, received a response from at least half of the gods. How could Lucia get no response?
Is there something strange going on?
Lucia still didn’t know what was happening. She closed her eyes and prayed earnestly in her heart.
[Mystery, Mystery, can you hear me!?]
[What is it?] Mystery’s gentle voice rang directly in Lucia’s mind.
Lucia was surprised. [What!? You can even talk inside my head!? You’re so perverted!]
Mystery felt very wronged. […you’re the one who called me first.]
[If I call you, does that mean you have to answer!? You have such a big problem in your head!] Lucia was relentless. [Have you always been eavesdropping on my thoughts!?]
[In the future, I won’t listen to it again if you didn’t call me.] Mystery apologized.
[What’s the matter with you! I didn’t pay attention to it before, but have you secretly done a lot of perverted things?] Lucia was very disgusted. [You bootleg god! Not only are you bad at work, even your morals aren’t great.]
[Yes, please allow me to express my most sincere apologies to Miss Lucia.] Mystery apologized calmly. [So, what has the lovely Miss Lucia called me for?]
[Come answer me quickly!] Lucia urged, [I’m taking the test. If no god answered me, won’t I be embarrassed?]
[But I’m not on there.]
It was like lightning appearing out of nowhere.
[What? You bootleg god aren’t even in the organization chart?] Lucia was shocked. [Not to mention being in the organization chart, are you not even on the company register?]
Mystery replied bitterly. [I’m sorry, I’m not in the organizational structure.]
Lucia was at a loss for words for a while, and she began to think sadly about which god she was going to pray to.
But the only gods she remembered right now were Jormundra, the goddess of autumn (that Anna believed in), Duma, the god of craftsmen (that Ram believed in), Noti, the god of knowledge and perception (that Athos believed in), and Kulatha, the god of wealth and luck (rich dude).
Which Buddha’s feet should I hold onto?
Lucia was in a conundrum.
She didn’t know that others were starting to feel strange.
“No god has chosen her yet,” Louisa felt extreme regret. “It’s been so long, and there’s still no god that responded… It seems that this child may not be able to enter the seminary.”
“This is the gods’ choice.” Razelt did not feel as much regret. “Maybe she will have other opportunities outside the seminary.”
“Yes, being a mage isn’t bad either.” Louisa replied. She walked forward, wanting to tell Lucia to stop and let the next child go up.
In the windless cave, a slight breeze suddenly blew.
“Wind?” Louisa said in surprise.
“Why is it windy here?” Razelt had never encountered such a situation before, and he looked around warily.
The breeze blew up Lucia’s long golden hair, and her thin body seemed to float in the wind.
Even so, Lucia still closed her eyes and prayed peacefully.
“Look!” Louisa lost her voice, “Razelt!”
Razelt suddenly turned back and saw a grand scene that he would never forget in his life.
Within the golden-red light, the Lord of Radiance, who was in charge of the sun and the law, opened his eyes. His red eyes stared at the little girl with closed eyes.
After him, Noti, the god of knowledge, slowly opened his eyes, and a faint blue light fell.
Anas of summer and natural disasters. Zhen of winter and death. Noyce of spring and birth. Meilis of strife and secrets. Jormundra of autumn and agriculture. They all opened their eyes in turn.
It seemed as if the thick fog that shrouded the hall of gods all year long was going to be dispelled. The seven great gods only stared at the world from the mural, and they already caused a torrent of gust.
The faint light barrier blocked the gust of wind, but it could not block the people’s sight.
The light looked like paint dripped into water. Like ink smudge that spread downward, the lower gods awakened from their sleep, as if it had been planned for a long time. Rays of light flowed from the top, and wherever they passed, the gods woke up on after the other.
As if answering her call, the huge hall where the gods selected believers woke up for the first time in history.
No one would ever see such a magnificent view again!
The rainbow-like light condensed and slowly passed through the barrier, falling like snow. It didn’t disappear after falling to the ground, and flickered with a faint light.
The culprit of such a huge and might scene, the girl with long blond hair, still didn’t know what was happening. She still folded her hands and closed her eyes in prayer.
She still didn’t know yet that all the gods of the huge world were condensing their eyes in this small temple, something that had never happened before and will never happen again.
After not being able to sense any response for a long time, Lucia opened her eyes in confusion, and was shocked by the magnificent scenery in front of her. She looked at the shining totems blankly, then looked back at the others.
No one was standing. Whether it was the priests in charge of the exam, or the children taking them, all of them were kneeling on the ground, praying devoutly.
As Lucia opened her eyes, the gods closed their eyes as agreed. The river of light gradually dried up like water that stopped flowing, and returned to silence.
