The Law of the Silent Gentleman - Chapter 87
Giuliano turned and walked away.
“I’m not going!”
However, Antoine and Constanzia stood in front of him on purpose or by coincidence, and waved at Enzo in unison with surprise on their faces, and even the frequency of waving was very consistent.
“Enzo! Why is it you! Where is the coachman we hired?” Constanzia probed her head, “This is clearly his carriage. There is a scratch on it, I remember it clearly.”
“Giuliano, where are you going?” Antoine grabbed him quickly, “What are you doing when the car arrives? Did you leave something behind? Your expression is so strange, do you have a stomachache?”
“…No pain, thank you for your concern.” Giuliano squeezed out a few words through his teeth.
Enzo grabbed the rein gracefully, and the horse stopped obediently, right in front of the group of them. He got a riding suit from somewhere, and it fit him pretty well. He wore a pretentious hat, a well-tailored jacket that accentuated his lean, muscular waist, and tight-fitting breeches and riding boots outlined his sharp legs. Giuliano suppressed the urge to scream, and followed the crowd to the carriage—in fact, it was more like being held hostage by Antoine and Constantia.
Enzo took off his hat, pressed it on his chest, and bowed his head slightly to them: “It’s a great honor to serve you all. Yesterday I heard from Leixi that you are going to travel today, so I came to pick you up early in the morning. I hope that I will not delay your trip. As for that Mr. coachman, I helped him pay for the drink for the day, and he happily handed over the carriage to me, I hope you will not blame me for making my own decisions.”
He put on his hat, jumped out of the carriage, opened the carriage door, and made a “come in” gesture. Theodora eyed him oddly for a few seconds, then took his arm and climbed into the car. Constanzia followed closely behind and said, “Go to the observatory, sir, do you know where the observatory is” when getting into the car.
“Of course, my lady.”
Antoine seemed to have forgotten that he should be in the driver’s seat, and he happily followed the two ladies into the car. Before Giuliano could react, Lexi took the lead. The bard glanced at him jokingly, and boarded the carriage, which was full in no time, leaving no room for Giuliano (unless he was lying on Lexi and Antoine’s lap). Enzo slammed the car door shut with one hand, hooked Giuliano’s neck with the other, and dragged him to the driver’s seat: “Sit next to me, we have a long way to go.”
Giuliano gritted his teeth with hatred, and wished he could leave on the spot, but the other four were still in the car. He couldn’t get angry in front of others, so he had to swallow his anger and sit in the driver’s seat with Enzo. Enzo grabbed the rein, shouted “drive”, and urged the horse to move forward. In order not to be heard by the four people in the car, when the noise of the wheels rolling over the road was loud enough, he whispered as much as he could: “What are you doing here?”
Enzo looked ahead with a calm expression: “I’m worried about you.”
“You don’t need to worry about it! You should still worry about your old friends!”
“What am I worried about them for? They’re not wanted criminals. Do you know how dangerous it is for you to just run out like that? What if you meet the guards?”
“It’s my bad luck, who made me deserve this!”
Before the words finished, Giuliano’s hair was grabbed by Enzo. He hissed in pain. Enzo pulled his hair and pressed him to himself. The distance between the two was instantly shortened to the point where each other’s breath could be brushed on each other’s face.
“You are not allowed to say such things.” Enzo said sternly, his tone was stern and unquestionable, “You are not allowed to joke about your own safety. You are not allowed to spoil yourself. Do you hear me?”
Giuliano grinned in pain: “It’s none of your business!”
“Of course it’s none of my business. You’re mine.”
Enzo let go, combed Giuliano’s hair neatly with his fingers, raised his chin to look around, and finally kissed him quickly on the cheek.
Giuliano pushed him away in disgust, and wiped his face vigorously with his sleeve, as if he was afraid of being infected with some disease. “Don’t touch me! Kissing me after you’ve kissed someone else is **** disgusting!”
“You think I’m willing to be kissed by others?!”
“I can’t say for sure. From what I see, you are very happy. Being pursued by a group of handsome men and women like stars, you are probably so happy that you even forget your own name!” Giuliano smiled meanly He smiled, “You still have a lot of things to forget. Just now you told me that you would never have **** with others again, and you kissed a male prostitute in a blink of an eye. Your memory is only for three seconds?”
“It was an accident. I didn’t know he would pop out of nowhere…”
“Ha, how funny! Enzo of Vanessa, the great Reticent, can easily catch the sword cut from behind, but will be kissed by the oncoming person-this is definitely the worst thing I have heard this year. Funny joke.”
“Who told you that you were in front of me at that time. I only have you in my eyes, so of course I have no time to care about him.”
Giuliano flushed. “Save your sweet talk, I don’t like this!”
“I’m telling the truth, Giuliano… all the truth.”
Enzo touched his hand. Giuliano quickly moved aside and put his hands in his pockets. Enzo touched his cheek lightly again, and he turned his head, leaving only the back of Enzo’s head. The reticent could only put down his hand in embarrassment.
“I made it clear to them all,” he said hoarsely. “I went to them one by one and made it clear to everyone. It will never happen again…like Giovanni. It’s all my fault, I used to be too… too indulgent. But I still hope you can forgive me. If you are always troubled by my faults, then I have failed too much as your lover.”
Giuliano felt a little comfort in his heart. Enzo still had some self-knowledge, knowing that he shouldn’t sleep with so many messy people. And hearing him admit that they are “lovers” made Giuliano feel a little happy. When he was with Enzo, he always felt insecure. He used to be afraid that Enzo would abandon him and walk away, but now he was afraid that Enzo would be snatched away by those old lovers. They were all beautiful, sexy, and understanding. He was really afraid that Enzo would not be satisfied with himself and would turn to those people. Maybe it is because he feels that he is still not good enough, so he looks forward and backward.
But… the others don’t matter. He didn’t like that Giovanni no matter what, not only because he kissed Enzo in front of him, but also because he…they both had red hair. Giuliano suffocated at the thought of such an evocative resemblance to one of Enzo’s former lovers.
“…that Giovanni,” he began gloomily, “you…you prefer redheads, don’t you?”
“I do prefer redheads.”
“you…!”
“Because my lover happens to have red hair, so I have to like it.”
Giuliano finally worked up the courage to turn around and meet Enzo’s eyes. “Do you think of Giovanni when you’re with me because we have the same hair color?”
Enzo opened his mouth like a stranded fish: “This…”
“You are silent, and silence means ‘yes’.”
“If you say that you haven’t thought of him once, it’s impossible. After all, the red-haired features are so obvious…I won’t lie to you. Since you asked, I can only answer honestly. But don’t get me wrong, I don’t have any suspicions about him. What are you thinking about?” Enzo said in a lower voice, “You clearly know that you are the only one in my heart, but you insist on using this kind of question to torture me…”
“I didn’t mean to embarrass you on purpose, I just can’t swallow this breath! When I think about how much you have had before…and in front of me…forget it, it doesn’t make sense to you, let me get angry for a while, don’t come Bother me.”
“It doesn’t matter if you are angry with me, but don’t run out casually anymore, don’t bet your own personal safety. Don’t stay in the Tongli Hotel, and come back to ‘Flowers Spring’ with me tonight. I just ask you to promise this thing.”
Giuliano bit his lip and nodded. He knew that Enzo was doing it for his own good… all for his good, but he was throwing tantrums like a child. He felt that he shouldn’t be like this, and he also regretted his rash actions, but he couldn’t help hating Enzo and the gang of “Flower Springs”. Forget about others, he hated that Giovanni the most. He even came up with an idea: Giovanni raped his men without authorization, and as punishment, even a knife would not be too much.
Better not let me run into you, Giovanni. Giuliano thought bitterly. Otherwise I’m afraid I can’t control myself. I am Giuliano Sacon of Vanessa, and no good will come of my enemies, nor of my rivals!
He and Enzo were silent all the way. The carriage drove to the hill in the north of the city, and the observatory was located on the top of the hill, the highest place in the city.
