The legend of ice - 39 Separation
At the very first light of the next day, Tulip, Zi, Pangu and I removed our tent and put it in a magically enlarged waist bag.
In addition to that, I went out in night and hunted what I could find from beasts. Some had crystals in them, while others were ordinary animals. In total, I killed a total of 20 normal animals and 10 cultivator beasts.
I sighed when I finished hunting, since these would be a mere mouthful to Zi, which won’t even calm down his hunger.
Why did I bring such a burden upon myself? I don’t know. Really.
As we walked out of the the dense forest of Mount Evergreen, Tulip asked after a long time of silence, “Where are we going next?”
When I was about to answer, I felt a strange sensation. It felt like I was behind and at the same time where I stood. After a quick thinking, I realized what is happening.
“When you see the map in your bag, you will know,” said Richard Dumbledore from behind us.
We looked back and saw him standing right there. When we reached his side, I shook his hand and Tulip hugged him.
Have I felt weird about Tulip hugging Richard? No I didn’t. I might have forgotten to tell you, or I already did, but Tulip’s father is dead, and her mother doesn’t like the company of others as she fell into craziness after her husband’s death. So when Tulip hugs Richard, it is as if she is hugging her father, nothing more.
“Hey Richy!” said Pangu.
“I am going to ignore it this time, Pangu, but that doesn’t mean that I will accept it another time,” replied Richard, then looked at the baby Winged Lion, Zi, who was roaring at him. “Hey beasty, don’t show me that face, I am friendly.”
“Is he really friendly, boss?”
“Yes I am.”
“How could you hear what he said?” I asked, narrowing my eyes.
“Don’t forget that I am the Lord of Chaos, Hasan. I can hear anything.”
“No, not anything. Because if you do, you would have known the threat of the Red Lotus from the very beginning.”
“The Red Lotus is not a threat to me. But you clearly know that I don’t like to entangle with the universe’s wars and conflicts.”
“Whatever. Why did you come by the way?”
“Before I tell you that, open up the map.”
Tulip reached to the magical bag on her waist and pointed her wand into it, “Accio!”
Immediately, the map that Emperor Sun has given us got out from the bag. Tulip handed it to me, and I opened it. On it, six scattered points glowed; each one of them represents a piece of the blade.
“The nearest piece is in Bing Zhi Di, in the north of China,” I said.
“Bing Zhi Di? What kind of name is that?” asked Tulip.
“Bing Zhi Di means The Land Of Ice,” answered Richard, “a place where Hasan would love a lot.”
“Yeah,” I muttered. “I guess we’ll be going there, right?”
“Although it is the nearest spot, but no, you will go to another place.”
“Which place exactly?”
“Here,” he said, pointing at the farthest point from us, “An old abandoned island in the Pacific Ocean, near the shore. A piece of the blade of Pangu is there.”
“Why go there now, while I can go and get the pne in this Bing Zhi Di place?”
“For two main reasons. One, this piece is the most important one of all as it contains the memories of Pangu when he saw a hidden place on Midgard, a place that I can’t even spot.”
“And the second reason?”
“I need you to temper yourself and reach the Sovereign level. And that’s why you will go alone with the company of just Pangu.”
“What about me?” asked Tulip while frowning, “And Zi? What are we supposed to do?”
“You have recently stepped into the Sovereign level, Tulip, but didn’t have the opportunity to test your abilities. I prepared a test for you back in the mansion. As for the little Winged Lion, I will give him some training methods.”
“Really Richard? Zi and I just made our bond, and now you want to take him from me? And Tulip also, my girlfriend??”
“Don’t worry, you’ll figure it out. Take these. They are supplies for your journey, don’t forget that it is abandoned and nothing lives there.”
He handed me a bag, which I put on. I knelt beside Zi and said, “Do whatever Richard says, and you’ll benefit, alright?”
“Yeah boss. But don’t take that long, ok?” he said as I nodded.
I parted with Tulip by a hug and a kiss and a few words. And once again, I was on my own as they diappirated to The Mansion Of Night.
