The legend of ice - 43 The Underwater Phoenix King
Let’s interrupt what happened on Isle of Prisons, just to let you guess what happened.
Back in Lebanon, my clone was currently on a trip to the beach. South Lebanon’s beaches have the most clean shores than the other shores in the country, so naturally, we headed there.
Music rang in the bus, but it suddenly stopped. From the front seat, my friend looked back at me, where I was in the back seat, and said, “Try not to turn into a Super Saiyan with spiky white hair this time, okay Hasan?”
Laughter exploded inside the bus, whike I just smiled and shook my head.
“No seriously, we just want to have fun. We don’t need anything dangerous,” he added after the laughter died down.
“You know that trouble is the one that seeks me, and not the opposite. As for that incident, how many times should I tell you that it was unexpected.”
“I still don’t understand what happened back then,” said a girl, “what are your powers exactly? And who the hell was that voice that echoed in the world?”
“I’ll be surprised if you did. But it’s better that way, because if I tried to explain, your mind would crumble to pieces,” I replied.
“Yeah you take big,” said another one with a laugh. I just shook my head.
Soon, we reached the beach and set our things on the shore. Some immediately went into the water, while others stayed at the shore.
As for me, I was within the ones that immediately went into the water. You have to understand, I am the Lord of Water, and I feel great connection with the sea water. So as soon as I was in the water, the sea called to me, as well as countless sea creatures.
As I was swimming, I suddenly sensed something moving beside me, something medium sized, not a person. It was a bird.
It sprang out of the water and flapped its wings. Its feathers were blue colored. Its eyes were also blue, and you could see the depth of the sea in them. Three red and gold feathers were atop of its head, forming a crown.
“Oh. My. GOD!” said my friend beside me. “I’ve never seen a bird this beautiful. What kind is it?”
The bird landed on my hand and I stroked its freathers, and at the same time smiled and said to my friend, “It’s a Phoenix.”
“A Phoenix? Aren’t Phoenixes red? And when did they shift into living inside the water?”
“There are many kinds of phoenixes, and this is a water phoenix, and a king at that!”
“Cool!”
The phoenix flew and sent a beautiful cry. Only I could understand what is it saying, and I was surprised for a moment, but then I knew why.
“It wants to ahow us something in its palace,” I said.

“You can understand what it’s saying?” said another friend.
“Yes. I am the clone of a Phoenix, so I can naturally understand their language.”
“How are we going to get to its palace?”
The phoenix king sent another cry and blue glow shot from its eyes to envelope my friends, who were now all beside me.
The glows attached to the phoenix, who went underwater and began swimming. I also went down and followed my friends.
After an hour, an underwater palace appeared in the distance. Animals were going in and out from and to it. The Phoenix continued flying and went inside of the palace from the front door.
When the animals saw the king, they bowed in respect for the majestic Phoenix. The former stopped for a moment, cried, and then continued swimming.
It led us to a chamber further in the palace, and there, some eggs were there. A look of warmth appeared in the king’s eyes, as it looked at the small blue eggs in the nest.
“These are your babies, your majesty?” I asked the phoenix. It cried in response which meant yes.
“Why is it showing us the eggs?” said the one who first saw the king.
“It wants us to see the hatching,” I said. And as if they were waiting for me to say this, cracking sounds could be heard.
One after the other, chicks startedto get out of the cracked eggs. A hundred in total. They were fatherless at first, but after moments, they started to be clad in blue.
The Phoenix king flew to them and cried in delight and warmth. I was going to say some words of congratulations, but my expression suddenly changed.
Without me knowing, my friends were looking at me. But I could no longer see them.
A red blur covered my eyes and I dropped unconscious in a moment. I could sense my life force seeping away, but that process stopped immediately after it began.
While I was unconscious, my friends backed away from me, and the king looked back at me and cried a cry of worry. It flew to my side and dripped some of its tears, which had healing powers, on me, but nothing happened.
“He won’t wake up,” came the voice of Richard from the door. The Phoenix turned back and bowed deeply.
“Rise, my friend,” he said, looking at my friends for a while then at me. He knelt and put his hand on my forehead then frowned.
“Is… Is he okay?” asked the girls from earlier on the bus.
“Yes, young Miss, he is,” he said calmly.
Suddenly, I snapped my eyes open and stood up, then said, “What happened?”
“Later,” said Richard, obviously not wanting to talk in front of others.
A chick squeaked suddenly, getting our attention, as it turned from blue to black. Richard’s looked surprised at this sudden phenomenon.
“Is it even possible?” I asked him, looking even more surprised.
“Apparently yes.”
The king was excited, one of its chicks turned to be a Dark Phoenix! The same as the Lord of Choas!
“Well,” said Richard, smiling, “I must congratulate you, Phoenix King. If you permit it, I will take this son of yours as an apprentice when it grows. What do you say?”
The King’s look turned into a look of excitement, mixed with respect. It bowed its head and began feeding its babies.
