The legend of ice - Chapter 63
Beginning of Book 3: “The Desert of Blood!”.
That moment, just that one moment, has changed the course of my life for all eternity. The death of my beloved had taught one of the most important lessons in all of my life. But I felt no joy that I did. No joy, no happiness, only anger.
No rational thoughts ran through my mind in that moment, in fact, I was not even thinking at all.
I sat on my knees with my head facing the ground, tears wanted to get out of eyes, but instead of falling, they served as a fuel to my anger.
The rest of my group had gloomy expressions on their faces, especially Richard, who said, “I have watched enough. I may be unable to act, but the others are. Go ahead my disciples!”
They all nodded and closed in, but they stopped halfway. Startled, they heard a faint sound. A sound filled with sadness, and most of all, evilness. Even Emperor Sun was startled by this sudden event and turned to its source.
The grin came from a crazed me. I had only one thought in my mind that moment. Kill! Kill! Kill! KILL!!
I looked up and faced the Emperor, then said one word after the other, though the words did not come from my mouth but from everywhere, slamming into the Emperor and his company, “You have put me in a very difficult position, Emperor Sun! I don’t know if I have to hate you for killing my girlfriend, or if I have to thank you for teaching me this one lesson I didn’t understand before.”
“Huh?” exclaimed the Emperor. Richard frowned as I continued, “I did not understand it before, but now, it is very clear.
“Power can only come from pain!”
As I finished saying that, the air started to turned cold. The very sky started to turn blood-red in color. If someone were to come from outside the planet and look at it, they would see that Midgard was surrounded by a red dome, and it was impossible to see what was happening inside! The whole sphere turned into a blood planet!
As for me, I started floating in the way that I would transform into Pangu, except this time, Pangu wasn’t there to aid my transformation!
“That aura…” muttered Richard. Then, he seemed to realize something as his expression changed greatly and he shouted, “RETREAT TO MY SIDE! IF YOU AREN’T HERE BEFORE HE COMPLETES THE TRANSFORMATION THEN YOU WILL DIE WITHOUT A DOUBT!”
My fellow apprentices were shocked, but they headed Richard’s advice and hurried back.
As for the Emperor and his companions, they were all shocked and were at a loss about what to do. They were not the only ones that felt that way. I could feel the terror spreading across the world coming from mortals and cultivators alike. There terror was justified, though, as even Richard felt fear.
Richard waved his hand and a transparent barrier engulfed them. However, it showed signs of instability and Richard thought, “What the hell? What kind of power is that? It is very close to my own! Thank God I remembered that aura before it was too late!”
The transformation didn’t take long, and when it ended, I hovered there like the sumpreme entity of the entire world.
My hair was red as well as my eyes that gave off a red glowing aura. My surroundings were completely red too. Behind me, you could see that there was a figure of giant, just like the one that I recently created but was unstable. But now, it was completely stable!
“Welcome to my Blood World!” a very ghostly voice came out of the heavens and slammed into my opponents. “May I introduce you to the Blood God, my assistant! Here, I am the lord. I am the supreme existence. I am your doom! In this world no one marked by me will be able to escape death, even if you were death itself, you will DIE!”
The Blood God behind me moved its right hand and pointed at the Emperor’s company, including Tai Yang, but excluding Emperor Sun. Immediately, screams of agony filled the place as their bodies were rapidly disgenerating into a red mist that was absorbed by the dome. As for their souls, they were swallowed by the butler, to be tormented in a living hell.
The inside of the Blood God was just like any underworld!
