The Legendary Pseudo-villain - Chapter 183
Hecathe got on top of the Dorgon and the Dorgon used his ability to make Hecathe invisible from the naked eye as well.
The Dorgon avoided the guards by flying up and Hecathe also helped break the barrier as the two entered the city of Zeblor.
“Where do you want to go?” The Dorgon asked as he flew a few rounds around the parameters of the city.
“That way,” Hecathe pointed down at the destroyed part of the city as he spoke, “Let that be the base.”
The Dorgon nodded his head and let out a loud breath as he flapped his magestic wings and headed back down to the ground.
Hecathe couldn’t help but feel that it had suddenly become a little cold.
It was usually said that the higher you go, the colder you’d feel, but for some reason, right now, the situation seemed to have reversed.
The more they got closer to the ground, the colder it felt and the air also seemed to have gotten a bit heavier..
“Hold on tight,” The Dorgon warned as it opened its wings wide and landed on the ground with a loud thud that was enough to send the dust flying around.
Hecathe coughed a few times as he waved his hands in front of his face and got down from the Dorgon.
“So this is the remaining ruins of the great ancient Zeblor?” Hecathe muttered a question to himself.
“I would hate to admit it but the ancient Zeblor was truly something great. It’s a pity that the same can’t be said now,” The Dorgon commented with a sigh as he folded his wings back.
“But who knows? Maybe in the future, this place may return to the glory it used to once bath in,” Hecathe commented with a sigh.
The Dorgon let out a small chuckle as he heard this and nodded his head, “If you let the great emperor rule these lands, I promise to return it to its former glory.”
“Are you sure you want to rule a land that is going to be filled with humans?” Hecathe asked sarcastically.
“On second thoughts, you’d better find someone else to play the new ruler.”
Hecathe couldn’t help but laugh as he heard this.
In all honesty, Hecathe had planned to destroy the three willows of spring and their government, but he was yet to decide anything further than that.
If he was truly successful, there would arise a need for a new ruler and the man was still not sure who could fill that place.
“Why don’t you become the new ruler?” The Dorgon asked curiously, “You love controlling people, don’t you?”
Hecathe scoffed as he heard this, “Are you cursing me to be trapped here forever?”
“Eh…?”
“I still have to go back. My mother is still at the hospital and I did a really idiotic thing that needs to be fixed.”
“An idiotic thing?” The Dorgon repeated with a bit of surprise, “What is it?”
“I made a will and handed over the company to a friend without informing him,” Hecathe sighed as he spoke, “It was supposed to be in case of my death and I didn’t expect to die this soon.”
Hecathe and the Dorgon had already talked about Hecathe’s past so the Dorgon was well aware of the fact that Hecathe wasn’t actually from this world and was merely a soul from another world that was living here inside a different body.
“I bet he’d be mad,” Hecathe spoke with a small chuckle, “He hates troublesome things and I wanted to trouble him a little so I made the will for fun.”
“And now you regret it?” The Dorgon asked curiously.
Hecathe stopped laughing as he heard this question and shook his head as he seriously responded, “I am not married and I don’t have any plans of marriage either. I’m the only child of the family so I don’t think there would be anyone in the family that I can entrust my company to. So even if I hadn’t done it for fun, I would have still written the same will in the future as well.”
“What’s the name of your friend?”
“Azazel,” Hecathe responded with a small smile as he remembered the annoying dude who was one of his only friends back in his real world.
“It’s a unique name,” The Dorgon commented and Hecathe nodded his head as he agreed with him.
“But it suits him,” Hecathe added.
“If you get to go back, are you going to tell him about your life here?”
Hecathe thought about it carefully before he answered, “I might tell him, but I don’t think he would be believing me. He might even slap me and take me to the psychiatrist.”
“Sounds like he’s a good friend,” The Dorgon imagined Hecathe being slapped by another man and he couldn’t help but laugh as he found it a bit too ridiculous.
“He’s the only one who would dare to hit me,” Hecathe sighed as he spoke, “But now I kinda miss that bastard and his annoying ass personality.”
“I’m sure he doesn’t miss you at all,” The Dorgon smiled as he spoke.
“…” Hecathe immediately glared at the Dorgon.
“Ah! My tongue slipped! I meant to say that I’m sure he’d also miss you,” The Dorgon corrected his words as he chuckled awkwardly.
There was no tongue slip and Hecathe clearly knew this.
“Let’s go,” Hecathe started walking first as he sighed and the Dorgon readily nodded his head as he followed after the man.
Since this land was the remaining ruins of the great old city of Zeblor, there weren’t any guards stationed around.
There were still patrol guards that would come to check up every few hours but they were easy to fool.
Hecathe went inside a big empty building that seemed to have once been a spacious apartment and sat down as he closed his eyes and started contacting all the mutants that were nearby.
At first, the Dorgon thought Hecathe was simply resting and hence he said nothing but when the first mutant popped up out of nowhere, the Dorgon immediately understood that Hecathe was not sleeping.
“What the hell?! Get these disgusting bugs away!” The Dorgon shouted with disgust and Hecathe only chuckled as he turned a deaf ear to the Dorgon.
The Dorgon was left helpless and he cautiously ran back and hid behind Hecathe, using the man as a barrier to keep all the mutants away.
When Hecathe was done contacting all the mutants that were around, he looked to be a little disappointed as he muttered, “Only two hundred and thirteen…”
“Eh?” The Dorgon looked at the man in disbelief.
“That’s the number of mutants that are inside Zeblor,” Hecathe shook his head with a sigh as he explained, “It seems that the border security of this place is doing a really good job. They managed to keep most of the mutants away.”
There were more than thousands of mutants waiting outside in the forest but none of them could enter Zeblor without any outside assistance.
The two hundred and thirteen mutants that had somehow managed to survive in this place were now all gathered up in front of Hecathe and the Dorgon looked to be thoroughly disgusted by them.
“What are you planning to do with so many of them?” The Dorgon asked as the corners of his lips twitched.
“An army,” Hecathe sighed as he answered the question honestly.
“Huh?”
“An army of mutants,” Hecathe spoke with a small smile that almost looked wicked under the dull light that peeked through the cracks between the walls.
“Didn’t you come here to contact the mecha-suits?” The Dorgon asked in confusion.
Hecathe nodded his head as he heard this, “That’s right.”
“The mecha-suits are never going to work together with the mutants.”
Hecathe nodded his head once again as he agreed, “That’s right.”
“Then what the hell are you planning?”
“If we are going against all three of the willows, the mecha-suits aren’t going to be enough. Although they are powerful, there is a reason why they are still not trying to overthrow the three willows of spring. I don’t know anything about the abilities of the three willows but if I’m guessing it right, their abilities are not something that we can take lightly. After all, they did beat a Dorgon before they inherited the title.”
“…”
“Actually even with the mutants on our side, I am still not sure whether we’d be successful or not but the chances of winning would greatly increase,” Hecathe continued with a sigh, “But we would need more mutants. LeiLei can help by using her ability to get the mutants in here but I have already tested her and her ability seems to have a limit. We can’t depend on her with this.”
“Then what are you going to do?” The Dorgon asked as he felt a little amused.
“We’ll need to break the barrier somehow,” Hecathe spoke as he responded, “Just a small opening in it would be more than enough to let the mutants infiltrate this place.”
