The life of a Haughty Prince - Chapter 56
The smile on her face took a sudden turn, the previous pleased and happy Bela nowhere to be seen. But it only lasted for a second and her smile came back right after.
“hmm…..let’s talk about it after I come back, would that be ok?” she asked with a low voice.
Atlas now knew it was a deep subject for Bela, not to be taken lightly. The way the mood changed around her already proved that much at the least. Even though her unstable aura was lingering around her a little bit. He came closer, and again hugged her tight.
“You can tell me whenever you want.” He softly said.
Being in his arms again, she again calmed down to her previous self. A genuine smile blooming on her pink lips.
“I really feel glad that I somehow met you.” She said, hugging him back.
Atlas only nodded, patting her head, trying to calm her down as much as possible. He didn’t mind secrets as he had plenty of his own.
‘Well, everyone has their own secrets, I still don’t know, how should I tell all the ladies that I am just a fucking four-year-old child. I mean how everyone would react? And mostly her.’ He thought as she hugged her, a woman who possessed the extremely rare peak tier bloodline, a powerhouse who had influence and connections like no one else he had ever met, not even his own father, who was a king of an upper-tier kingdom himself.
‘I hope I don’t get on her bad sides..’ he thought again.
“So, how about we call it a day, I still need to report all of this to Joseph.”
“…..can’t we just stay like this for a while? I will be leaving soon you know.” She moaned, hugging him with more strength than before.
‘Well, I can’t say no when you leave me no choice, to begin with.’
Knock! Knock!
Both of them heard a knock on the door, surprising Bela as she strictly ordered the maids to not disturb her office quarters.

Back in Adventurer Guild.
The sound of the metal pens scratching over a simple paper could be heard within the quiet room. Three thick fingers delicately moving a pen, with the highest precision, the wielder could imagine.
For the writer, who was slowly lettering, this was equal to battle, his mind concentrating on both writing and the strength he was pushing on his small and delicate pen. He wrote and wrote, trying to ‘not’ break the pen as much as possible. Sweat slowly appearing on his forehead.
After a couple of minutes of hard work, a drop of his sweat fell on the bottom of the paper, but he didn’t mind and kept writing.
‘I can do this, I am doing it, I can write. Haha….now Alina can’t say shit that I can’t write a single senten..…”
Slam!!!
Crack!
With the sudden sound of the door opening, came the cracking sound of the wooden handle of the pen breaking in two, messing up his paper.
A full hour of writing, which he oh so rigorously wrote, all gone, just like that, and the switch inside his mind which he sternly controlled also went away with it.
“Mr. Joseph, from the command of the ki…..”
Before the honorary guard could finish his words, out of nowhere, he felt a force so powerful all over his frontal body, pushing him to a level that he flew away like a bullet, colliding with the roof above and flying away even more.
“ha…fuuu, ha…fu..”
Joseph took his long breaths, again and again trying to cool himself down, and eventually, he did. He gazed upon the broken pen in his hands and threw it on the pile of broken pens inside the dustbin.
“ha….I need to hire a new assistant at this rate.”
After fully calming himself he walked near the door with his heavy steps and saw a parchment on the floor, left by the guard who was just blown away by him.
The parchment flew to his hands, pulled by his symbol, and saw it had the insignia of the royal family stamped in.
“haa….”
He sighed and opened it and behold, it was the call from the king himself.
“What the hell does he wants now?”

The Phonixia palace, Brown city, Fanxia Kingdom.
SLAM!!!
The giant decorative door opened with a bang, surprising all the nobles and others, sitting beside the meeting table.
“Hello,” Joseph said, greeting everyone inside the room.
“What blasphemy is this!!!” A noble Marquise bellowed standing up from his chair.
“You are in front of the king!! Show some respect!!” Another noble sitting across from him shouted.
bang!!
“Let him be!!” the one and only king said, Smacking his hand on the table and Spreading his advance bloodline aura to all the nobles sitting around the table.
“But your majesty!!” Another noble said.
“ha….i…said…let…him…be,” he ordered, increasing his pressure even more. Escalating the temperature around the room.
All of them felt the surge of heat around them, increasing every breath they took.
“I’m sorry, my sire.” Said the Marquise who shouted first and slowly sat down.
Only after when everyone had sat down did the scourging heat died down.
“Joseph, we all know, you are powerful but I hope this digression won’t happen again.”
“Hmph…you lot need to first give respect to fully earn it, letting a guard of yours, disrupting me during my work. Wasn’t that also your so-called ‘digression.”
The king stared at the Marquise who had to send the guard at the guild to transfer the message. Only to see the Marquise look down with no reasoning at all.
After seeing him saying nothing in self-defense. The king sighed and stood up to Joseph and gave a slight bow.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Joseph. I hope this wouldn’t hinder our relationship further on.”
“Your majesty!!” the marquise bellowed again, seeing his king bow to a normal adventurer who didn’t have any bloodline to show even a speck of nobility.
“Sit down, lord Ousirish!! We don’t need any conflict with the Adventurers guild. We already have enough problems on our plate.” He said giving a glance in a certain direction but returned to Joseph immediately.
At the corner of the long meeting table, there was also a woman, with a black tight dress, fitting her from her pale and bountiful bosoms to her long and black hill shoes.
“I’m sure he was just gesturing towards you Bela, did you do something?” Atlas said from her behind whispering his words.
“haha…..I have created nothing but problems for him, while I’m here. I even killed off most of his lower nobles after interrogating them.” She silently said.
“What?, I thought Joseph handled it then, did they all had to die though?”
“My dear, no one survives after crossing paths with me,” she said with a sly smile.
‘Damn…..killing is really like buying cabbages for them…ha….what am I even complaining about?’
“You can take your seat, Mr. Joseph.”
“hmmmm….”
Joseph sat on an empty chair, opposite Bela and nodded towards her and the aura concealed Atlas behind. Besides him and Bela, nobody knew he was even there, not even feeling a spec of his presence.
How would they, a number of nobilities and the king himself were only capable of running a middle-tier kingdom as he who possessed such advance techniques of aura concealing born from the years and years of modifications through experts from a powerhouse Upper-tier kingdom itself and can’t ever forget the gifted mask which doubled the capabilities of his techniques, literally turning him invisible in front of all the people now sitting before…or so he thought.
Atlas was confident that he was properly hidden when he felt a slight glance from the end of the table. Who could it be than the king Bruce Phoenixia himself?
‘did he just look at me a second ago? Or he is just checking Bela out? Hmm…”
The king properly sat on his grander and much decorative chair in comparison to others, to showcase that ‘he’ was the leader of this nation. His red-golden robes and his ruby-filled crown showing his majestic aura. His fingers filled with rings of many kinds interlocking curses and enchants.
One of his rings shined and plenty of documents appeared. Of course, it was from his storage ring. He spread the files to all the people within the room, appropriately pushing it with his push symbol.
Atlas didn’t want to care as he wanted his promotion to upgrade to a two-star, but when the file came near Bela and saw what it was, his mind stopped processing and his heartbeat started beating a bit more than before. His blood started rushing radically through his veins. If his eyes could pop out, the moment he saw the documents, they would surely pop out.
When he was at Bela place when she was called by the Royal decree, inviting her for a meeting, he thought, it would be related to the conflict between the ‘ATC’ and so-called All-Father as they were powerhouses which a kingdom like Fanxia couldn’t comprehend to handle but no.
He was wrong, he was completely wrong. The insignia pasted on the front of the file was actually of ‘his’ kingdom, none other than the Xander kingdom itself.
‘wh….what the hell? Why? How? Does he know I’m here?’
That single thought made his mind and heart erratic. Sweat started appearing on his forehead. The memory of being surround by the nobles and his father nipped into his vision and the disaster it would bring if his father really knew if he was here. Looking at his ambition of killing his own son, why wouldn’t he demolish this country just for satiating his needs.
Feeling his mana getting disturbed by his own emotions, Atlas tried to calm down using his specter aura, which immediately took effect calming him down.
‘Was that PTSD or something, I just experienced?…. Fuck!!!…..control yourself. It’s just a document for god’s sake. They wouldn’t know. I have hidden pretty well. I look twelve or thirteen years older and nobody except the people I trust knows about my appearance, so calm down…’
Atlas fully calmed down after circulating his specter aura and focused on the king.
He wasn’t the only one who was shocked, all the people within the room, even Bela and Joseph themselves were quite surprised gazing at the insignia on the file before them. It wasn’t just a kingdom like they were now staying on, no it also wasn’t a normal upper-tier kingdom. No, it was ‘the’ Xandar. An extremely powerful powerhouse. Consisting of a number of individuals who possessed the ever so rare peak-tier bloodline.
“Ahem….this already may look a bit intimidating for all of us here, but yes, the documents in front of you are sent by Xandar itself. So that’s why I called you all here so suddenly.
So let the meeting begin…..”
