The life of a Haughty Prince - Chapter 59
Atlas walked by Bela’s side as they walked out the meeting hall, he had used his bloodline aura so she didn’t know what he just did a moment ago.
‘Damn, got annoyed for a second there, all of those shitty nobles staring at her like no tomorrow. And especially that guy called Ousirish or something had to give that Marquise a lesson, staring at my property like that, fuck off!!’
Looking at Joseph walking ahead of them, trying to ignore Bela as much as possible and mumbling about something he didn’t want to know about, he came closer to Bela who was focusing on her file, and gripped one of her soft and round buttocks all of a sudden.
“Ohh!!” she moaned lightly and turned to his side. She knew he was coming by her side as his scent was getting stronger as he came closer but she didn’t think he would do something so sudden in a corridor which was in the interior of the palace itself.
“What was that for?” she asked, a surprising look on her face.
“nothing… I just wanted to take your attention.”
“Ohh….You can have my attention all you want dear but let me read on this child first.” She said as she looked at the picture of the five years old Prince Atlas.
“……”
Atlas was now confused about what he should do or say, there it was, his four-year-old picture, and Bela was just staring at it like all the nobles were staring at her a moment ago. He wanted to say something but nothing came to his tongue. He scratched his head having conflicting thoughts for a couple of seconds.
“Hmm…..you are really staring at that child there huh.”
“Yeah…..can’t help but keep looking at him, he’s just….charming I guess, and just look at this child’s eyes. Such a beautiful and rare mixture of colors. His cute nose and his soft lips and that jawline, they are so perfect like yours.” She said as she kept staring at the picture.
‘haha…I don’t know, how I should feel about this..’
“And she is also her son, son of the ice queen also known as the warrior Maiden, so can’t help but want to know more about him.”
Atlas was surprised that even Bela knew about her mother like she was a celebrity or something.
“Wait, who? Ice queen, who is she really?”
“So you don’t know about her huh, ok where we start. Hmm…..let’s start with her bloodline first, she possesses the rare peak-tier bloodline and it isn’t any simple one, she has the parted ‘Don’ bloodline. It isn’t like…..”
‘Wait what’s parted bloodline? Should I ask? No, it seems simple, I don’t wanna embarrass myself.’ System ‘what’s Parted Bloodline?….oh it’s like a diluted version, well that makes sense.’
“….any other bloodline as you already know, ‘Don’ Bloodline enhances talent like through the roof. Really envious of them actually and without question, She is from nobility which is already clear, coming from the house snowfall, she didn’t want to be bound by her noble blood and became an adventurer instead, leaving her home at the age of sixteen and after that, her legend started.
Becoming a rising star…..”
“umm…..sorry but, can I borrow him for a bit?” Joseph asked, his voice being light as possible.
“….you know that you owe me tons of tons of gold right?” Bela voiced with a stern tone. Ready to devour what was in front of her.
From Atlas’s view, joseph was looking like a sheep trying to eat his grass while Bela looked like a growling lion. No, she was literally looking at Joseph like he was soo much so like dirt. he was really quite surprised at the scene.
‘Is it the power difference or just that he owes her tons of money? Or both? Haa….whatever, he is looking at me like he is asking for help from his inevitable death.’
“Bela, why don’t we talk about her later, now I have some business with him,” Atlas said.
“hm…ok. I will be going after three days or so. Come to me as soon as possible.” She said before leaving both Joseph and him alone.
“Damn! How are you close to her? Aren’t you afraid for your life and soul?”
“what?…..no whatever, you want info on her death right? I already solved the case but the murderer is already long gone.”
“Well that was quick….elaborate…”
“Well, it started from….”
After fifteen minutes…within the palace garden.
“Damn!!! I trusted her!!” Joseph roared, punching a hole on the thick wall of the border. His wrath, every guard and gardener to see, the young ones, the middle age, even some old ones.
“So what are you going to do? She stayed under your nose like a whole year.”
“if she is really is who you told she is, then it’s just good to give up. Searching for her is only a waste of time.” Joseph said, trying to calm his anger.
“hmm…..ok, my job is done, about the promotion?”
Joseph fully calmed down and picked a piece of paper from his storage ring.
“You really did well, I asked Joana and she said you cleared the Kamlioze mission with Alina, taking all the credit..haha, well that put a smile on my face when I first heard it, and not to mention you found the culprit in very small time. A black nominee indeed.” He said, his anger all gone, nowhere to be seen.
‘Shit, he changes his behavior like it’s some switch.’
“Well. I worked hard for it,” he said giving out his hand.
The paper turned to golden light and flew towards his heart, piercing through all his clothes. He suddenly felt the unusual heat like he felt when he was stabbed with the purple fired knife but with fewer effects. After some time, the heat went away and new information got added to his mind.
‘well, they are all vague history of what Bela told me but hmm….I see Alibion really is incredible. I don’t know why Bela didn’t tell me about this,’ he thought.
He looked at his palm and there it was, two Black stars surrounded by two black wings.
After the completion, He somehow felt more close to Joseph who was near him like he was a close friend or something.
“You feel weird looking at me right?” Joseph asked with a smile.
“Yeah….how did you know?”
“It’s also a charm, keeps you close to other Alibion adventures. Trying to lessen any fighting or enemies to be created within the society.”
“What the hell, isn’t that just manipulation?” Atlas asked in shock.
“No! You can kill me if you so desired, it isn’t that strong as you think. It’s just a mechanism to spot an Alibion adventurer when they are both near enough. Pretty good right?”
“hmm…..yeah.”
‘fuck me! damn! Alibion really has some weird mechanisms but it’s helpful indeed.’
“So any missions for me?” Atlas asked.
“hmm…..there’s a lot of one-star and two-star missions but, looking at you finished a potential three-star mission so swiftly, you will have to wait for a three-star mission if you want to have any chance on promotion again so what will you choose? Simple and easy missions or wait as there aren’t any three-star missions right now.”
“I will wait, tell me if any comes to your plate.”
“Will do and one last thing but, won’t you really be my assi…”
Atlas vanished using his Teleportation symbol before he could complete his words.
“haa…damn space symbol user. I just wanted an assistant nothing more, and the one I had trusted turned out to be a spy. Why God? Why give me such pain?” he shouted and walked to his guild, a grim of sadness looming around him.

Atlas appeared at the corner of the large garden which was notably distant from where he was before, the area was still within the Phoenixia palace territory but at the other end of the whole palace, where he thought he saw someone familiar.
He looked around the green luscious garden. Pink flowers and beautiful colored trees all around.
‘Looks too girly, must me Devy’s personal garden or something.’
“hmm…where’s she? I thought I saw Jena on a maid outfit.”
He walked around searching for her with his aura still concealed. He didn’t want anyone to see a masked man walking around the palace to create unwanted problems. Anyone who would see him would really think he was some kind of evil person who was up to no good for sure.
As he was walking he felt something was coming to his back and with his reflex acting up, caught whatever was coming without even watching.
He opened his palm to see what he caught which seemed to be hard as a rock and it was indeed a rock, a stone to be accurate. He was surprised someone noticed him and threw a stone at him nevertheless.
He turned to his shoulders and another stone flew directly to his face but he caught it right away and to his surprise, as he gazed at the culprit, it was just a little girl with long purple hair.
“y..you e..evil man. I won’t let you g.go. I’m a..a hero.” The child said with a shaky voice.
“You can see me? A mere child can see me?” he said in full surprise.
