The Life Of Tiberius - Volume 1 Chapter 9 Chamber Of Secrets Pt. 2
Many things took place since Lockhart’s Duelling Club. More people were petrified and Tiberius had finally learned something valuable from the Kitchen House Elves. Around Christmas time he learned of the Come and Go Room or The Room of Requirements on the seventh floor.
Tiberius, Hermione, and Romilda now used the room to train. Tiberius put Romilda on the same training plan as Hermione, he felt that if she needed her cousin killed, then she could train to do the deed her self. It was around that time when Romilda received her verbal lashing.
The things Tiberius said to her not only put her in her place but she cried for days. Hermione comforted her. But she took a bit of pleasure in Romilda’s sadness. And made sure the girl remembered her place while she was healing. Romilda had let it slip that she was talking to her mother about the things they did. If she could please her mother, she hoped that her mother would stave off her aunt and cousin on her behalf.
Tiberius lost it, because if Mrs. Vane raised Romilda to essentially whore herself to a lord then she, Mrs. Vane, is a whore and would whore herself and information. Tiberius stabbed at every insecurity and told her that things they did were private for a reason. the wizarding world was cruel, and no matter what Romilda did, her mother had already left her to fend for herself. Mrs. Vane could never be trusted as a mother again and Tiberius wanted Romilda to understand that.
When Romilda had felt better, Tiberius catered to her for a day without Hermione around to make her feel special. And it worked like a charm. He wanted to get her spirits up and give her more happy memories than sad. Hermione and Romilda became like two tamed dragons. The oppressed all except their Lord and it was constantly reinforced.
Eventually, Neville had brought his three, yes three ladies –Susan had decided that Neville just might be best for her, to the room of requirement and they all trained together. Sadly, Susan didn’t have the skill that her aunt had and required a lot of extra work. Surprisingly, Lavender was a true war dog. And Neville made it clear that her gossiping days were over, he asked Tiberius if his law-wizard could draft a marriage contract. But Tiberius managed to get him to hold off. Things were a bit complicated in the Longbottom house and throwing Lavender in the mix would only fan the flames.
May 8th, 1993
The gang stood around a hospital bed where Ginny lay petrified. The lovesick Harry pleaded with the gang to find out the mystery of the chamber of secrets. With nothing better to do, they started their investigation, which was much easier to do now that Dumbledore had been removed as headmaster. Though it was unfortunate that Hagrid had been sent to Azkaban.
For the next few weeks, they researched like crazy. Tiberius had told Hermione to keep quiet about her Basilisk theory. He had known since the very beginning what the beast was. He knew it was a snake type beast associated with the chamber of secrets and Salazar Slytherin. Considering the rumors that Salazar had the only wand made of basilisk fang. It was easy to deduce that the Basilisk was most likely the beast in the chamber. But he had no intention of going after it. His target was the chamber of secrets itself.
It was now May 29th, 1993 and the gang now sat in the Library nearing curfew and the beast had finally killed. The murder forced his hand and Tiberius began to guide the group in the right direction.
“Harry, let’s go over that memory that the Riddle diary showed you. I have some of his old school books and he was a very intelligent person. Maybe I can find a clue you missed.” Tiberius then listened as Harry told him about the day M.o.a.ning Myrtle died and Riddle confronted Hagrid and how it led to Hagrid’s arrest.
“Harry, Riddle wasn’t doing his job as Prefect. He was making Hagrid a scapegoat. That means, he opened the chamber or knew who did. The Acromantula bites kill, it doesn’t petrify. Now the only question is where is M.o.a.ning Myrtle and why don’t we just ask her how she died?”
The gang looked at each other and felt a bit embarrassed, Hermione giggled and everyone began to put their books away went to find the always wailing ghost. Like she always was, they found her in the girls’ lavatory on the second floor. She told them about the night she died and where it happened. By the sinks, Harry found a faucet with a snake engraving.
“You have to speak the tongue, my lord. I feel the magic seal on the door keeping all those without the gift from entering the chamber.” the snake whispered to Harry. He spoke Parseltongue aloud and the entrance to the chamber opened up.
“Romilda, you should go find the professors.” Said Tiberius.
Neville gestured for Susan, Hannah, and Lavender to do the same.
“Harry where’s the diary, this would be a good time to ask riddle what the f.u.c.k is down there. He just might know”
“Uhh, I don’t. It was stolen from my things last month,” he replied.
“Then I guess we just have to go and find out.” Tiberius, Neville, Harry, and Hermione slid down the tunnel. They all landed in the swear pipes surrounded by bones. The group dusted themselves off and began to hunt for the chamber. They finally discovered a vault door with the face of Salazar Slytherin. Harry spoke parseltongue again and the vault unlatched. As the group entered, they heard the sound of bones breaking behind. They all aimed their wands at the sound. And to everyone’s surprise, professor Lockhart came from the shadows.
“What the f.u.c.k are you doing here?” Neville asked with his tightened his grip on his wand.
Lockhart made some bullshit story up about how he saw the students and followed them into the chamber for their protection. Neville then volunteered to hold him while they continued deeper into the chamber. To prove his might, Neville sent a bludgeoning curse passed Lockhart, scaring him shitless.
Passed the vault door the trio entered a great hall. With a snake statues along the pathway. The ground was wet with puddles and a long aisle leading to a great pool and a massive wall with a stone head monument of Salazar Slytherin overlooking the pool.
Near the pool, Ron Weasley laid unconscious and wandless.
“What the hell is he doing here?” Tiberius asked as Harry darted to Ron’s side to check on the boy. His pulse was faint but the little shit was still alive. A few moments later, Tom Riddle revealed himself. He told them how the boy was possessed by him. Through him, he opened the chamber and because of the boy’s sacrifice, Tom was slowly coming back to life.
“He’s a shade… Magnificent…” Tiberius praised his genius and then asked why he wanted to come back.
Nobody but Harry cared for Ron’s wellbeing. Harry cared too much. Hermione and Tiberius were enticed by Riddle’s sorcery and the three talked about the forbidden magic while Riddle relished in the compliments that Hermione and Tiberius showered him with. So they really weren’t in a rush to save, Ron.
“You’re brilliant, Riddle. Honestly. I do have a question though. Your transfiguration theory. At the end of the second year, you began to merge it with alchemical theories and transmutation. Did you ever finish it?” he asked
Tom made a confused face, “I-I don’t know. I was still researching when I created this Horcrux.”
Tiberius looked dejected and then asked why Tom had created Horcrux, to begin with. That’s when Tom explained his plans for a pure wizarding Britain and Tom reintroduced himself as Voldemort. It was clear that they had become enemies. Tiberius was a bit sad and admittedly voiced it.
“If your existence didn’t threaten Hermione’s, I would help you, Tom. You were the genius of your age and together, We could bring the wizarding world to its knees, not just Brittan, but all of it. An age of enlightenment could have been ushered in with our way of progressive thinking –Regarding magic, not the whole blood purity thing. However, now you have to die.”
Tom felt the honesty and sincerity in Tiberius’ words and wished that he had met the boy when he was still at Hogwarts all those years ago. This moment was the first time that Tom had connected with somebody, and not just with Tiberius, but the smart and knowledge-seeking Muggle girl. This flabbergasted him, but still, he called for his beast and the basilisk arrived.
“Close your eyes! Don’t look at it!” Hermione shouted. The trio turned away.
Tiberius held his wand high and shouted ” Haul Bryrstio!”
A great rush of power came forth and a small sun was conjured, a moment later it exploded. If Tom wasn’t a soul, like his Basilisk, his eyes would be burned beyond repair. The Basilisk cried out and Tom screamed in anger. Hermione and Tiberius then called for their swords from their enchanted bag.
The two then took a fighting stance and used the Fairy Dancer technique to fight the fast and agile basilisk. They dodged, sidestepped, and spun. Blocked, slashed, and stabbed. Every time they made contact, the basilisk would wail. Their Valyrian steel swords burnt the beast-like molten lava.
Hermione had gone up for a head strike but was struck by the snake’s tail. It sent her into a wall but she quickly called her hand from its holster and transfigured the wall into pillows. Tiberius continued to attack with speed and cast curses when every he could.
The basilisk was extremely magic resistant and curses only served to agitate it and occasionally gave Tiberius openings to strike.
Swing hs sword upward, Tiberius sliced the beast’s nose and it pulled back and hissed. With his left hand, Tiberius sent a big telekinetic push launching the basilisks in the air. “Vinea Carcerem!” He shouted and great vines erupted from the ground and wrapped around the airborne basilisk, restraining it. The basilisk fought with all it’s might break free.
Every time a vine snapped, another grew in its place. The Basilisk, now arched his head and ready for attack. Hermione pushed off the ground weakly and gathered her magic to jump headfirst into danger.
The basilisk struck, Tiberius muttered “Aressto Momentum.” as he held out his left hand like he was clutching air. He bent backward to dodge the slowing but deadly strike. But the Basilisk was so big that Tiberius just didn’t have enough magic to slow it down completely. Just as the Basilisk narrowly missed him and snapped it’s maw shut. Tiberius plunged his blade into the Basilisk, dislocating his shoulder in the process due to his irregular striking position. The sword penetrated from under its jaw and through its mouth, skewing the beast.
The Basilisk hissed and jerked its head away pulling the sword from Tiberius’ hand. Hermione suddenly apparated into the air. As she was free-falling with both hands gripping her sword, the runes on her blade shined bright and with all of her strength, she buried the sword to its hilt in the basilisk’s head shocking everyone.
When she hit the ground, a loud snap echoed. Hermione had broken her leg. Tiberius crawled to Hermione who was crying in agony. He pulled her close and held her tight. Calling his wand, he didn’t attempt to heal her but instead numbed the pain.
“None of this Matter! I Have enough–”
Tiberius quickly flourished his wand, his blade pulled free from the Basilisk and was sent flying through Riddle’s diary and directly through his chest. Riddle spit blood and with the last swing of his wand, Tiberius made his sword free itself. Though it did not pull out cleanly. Instead, it cleaved itself out horizontally to the right, cutting through the lunges, ribs, heart, and finished by cutting riddle’s arm off before flying back to Tiberius.
Riddle dropped to his knees and fell backward. His body lay nearly bisected. The trio then watched as the diary shinned and then Tom Riddle’s eyes burned out signaling that his soul was destroyed but his body remained
“I guess he had enough power to materialize his body,” Hermione commented
“What about Ron? Ginny would be said if I let her brother die” said Harry
“If the diary still linked to Ron, then he should be slowly regaining his strength now that diary was destroyed. And Harry, the next time a bad guy starts talking. Kill the f.u.c.k.i.n.g wanker.”
Hermione rested her head on Tiberius’ as she giggled at his advice.
“And Mione, congratulations on your first and successful apparition. But we should keep that to ourselves, got it, Potter.”
Harry nodded and Hermione lifted up and kissed Tiberius, “I thought I was going to lose you. I just wanted to get there fast enough to save you and it just happened. I really think it was accidental magic.”
He ran his finger through her hair and she gave in to his petting and produced a low m.o.a.n that immediately embarrassed her. She turned and hid her face while Tiberius laughed. He soon stopped as a Pheonix cry could be heard. The Phoenix landed and dropped the sorting hat the hid the blade of Gryffindor. Tiberius frowned as a certain thought appeared in his mind. But then he remembered something. Gripping his dislocated shoulder, he said “Episkey”. His shoulder popped back into place and a surging pain hit him, immediately followed by relief. Taking his and Hermione’s sword to the basilisk head. He then bathed both swords in the snake’s venom.
As the trio waited for help. Tiberius went to explore. He first entered the mouth of the Slytherin monument and walked down the tunnel to find the Basilisk’s den and a big nest with six fertilized eggs. He then found a single door that led to an old study. It was in glorious condition, meaning that many ‘heirs’ had been down there before and managed the upkeep.
Tiberius looked around and skimmed through the library and found that most of the tome contained Parsletounge magic. It produced wonderful wards, enchantment, and the deadliest cruelest curses and hexes that Tiberius had ever read about.
“Noksby” he calls out and his house-elf appeared.
He handed the house-elf his bank pouch to the Emrys vault “Take every book and piece of parchment from this study and place them in this pouch. Be quick about it and then bring me back my pouch.” Tiberius took his leave and used a levitation charm to carry the six eggs with him.
Tiberius placed the eggs next to Basilisk’s head helped Hermione up. He figured if the professors hadn’t shown up yet, then they couldn’t get into the chamber. The entrance probably closed on its own. It didn’t take long for them to reach the original tunnel entrance. Tiberius tapped his wand against the pipe that led back to the girls’ lavatory and transfigured into a stairway.
when they returned to the sealed entry point. Tiberius and the group heard arguing in the lavatory. Tiberius heard the words ‘Filthy Half-blood’ and told Harry to open the passage.
In the lavatory were Lucious Malfoy, Madam Bones, McGonagall, Snape, Romilda, and Lavender. Romilda was arguing with a chubby man in black robes and an older lady dressed in all pink. When they saw Tiberius, Romilda ran to him and hugged tightly. When she parted from him, he pointed his wand at the woman and pink. Madam Bones had no choice but to draw her wand.
“You call Romilda a liar or filthy half-blood again and I’ll kill you and hang your f.u.c.k.i.n.g body in the ministry.”
The woman’s eyes went wide
“Hermione and I claim the Basilisk and it’s Six eggs. We slew the beast so it is ours. Anyone that has a problem could talk to my law wizard.” Tiberius never took his eyes off the damned woman in pink. Her name was Dolores Umbridge. She was a pain in the ass and the minister’s lackey.
“And Fudge, if you stoop so low as to allow the berating of some in any of my houses again. I’ll lead a personal campaign to have you replaced as the minister of magic. It may not get you removed right now, but it surely will stop you from being re-elected.” he directed his words to the man in black robes.
“Lord Emrys Please, put your wand away.” Tiberius put his wand away and Madam Bones spoke again, “now the sword”
He then dropped the sword that he instinctively summoned to his hand. A moment later Noksby appeared and hand him his pouch before vanishing.
Tiberius recounted the story to everyone and they looked beyond shocked. Umbridge still denied it. Tiberius gave a magical oath and no could challenge his words.
Madam Bones was then lead to the chamber of secrets by Harry where she confiscated the journal and Riddle’s body. Everyone in the room was sworn to secrecy per Madam Bones as she deemed the entire incident a classified criminal investigation and Ron was sent to the Infirmary
A few days later, every person petrified was cured. Lucious was removed as headmaster –a child died under his care. Dumbledore returned and Tiberius discovered another conspiracy. After the chamber incident and everyone was examined by Madam Pomfrey. She discovered a large amount of attraction potion in Harry’s system along with a large dose of Love potion. The only reason, Tiberius knew this because Hermione was behind Madam Pomfrey as her quill was transcribing Harry’s diagnosis.
What did Tiberius do? nothing, he found out long ago about the dosing when he looked through Ginevra’s mind. He knew everything that the girl did. And saw every letter that came from her mother and the potions that were supplied by Snape — who only took orders from Dumbledore, which is why Madam Pomfrey wasn’t shocked to see the potions in Harry’s system.
Tiberius could nullified the potions, but then Neville would have no way of scooping up Ginevra during the fall out. Tiberius was still in the process of thinking of ways to hit her parents. Arthur and Molly Weasley are the keys needed to taking the House of Prewett.
Before Madam Bones and her party left Hogwarts, she pulled Tiberius to the side — not as Madam Bones but as Lady Bones.
“Susan’s told me about her relationship with the Longbottom heir. Is that relationship even feasible considering his spot in that powerful, but unstable alliance?” she asked
Tiberius smirked “Prewett-Potter-Longbottom? Of course, Lady Bones. I’m actually taking care of that. If by time the Longbottoms awake from their coma — Susan and Neville are still going steady, draft a marriage contract and leave it open so that he may take another wife.”
Lady Bones squinted “you sly dog. Augusta will never approve the contract, so you the gratitude of his parents to push the contract into ratification. And you want him to take the House of Prewett by way of the Weasley girl. As I’m sure he isn’t interested in men so the House of Potter is off the table.”
Tiberius chuckled “Precisely” he said.
“But the Weasley girl seems to be fangirl crazy about Potter.” Lady Bones voiced her concern
“That’s why I’ll need you. the girl isn’t the issue, we need to strike her parents and why things start to pick up speed. Potter will push her away and then we’ll come in with finishing strike”
“Will any of this be legal, Lord Emrys?”
“For the most part, yes. But it’s politics, Lady Bones and if we don’t act… we Will lose. The dark lord is trying to come back and he’s a terrifying genius. With Dumbledore getting old and his pacifist ways… He’ll surely fall to the dark lords wand.”
Lady Bones winced at the thought of another war happening. She naturally knew that she was the Ministry’s first defence, making her target number 1.
the two chatted for a while longer about the political climate, and alliance affairs. Lady Bones always seemed to forget that Tiberius was still of schooling age. so when he stopped at the Hogwarts gates, she realised that their enjoyable conversation was over.
“It’s been a pleasure, Madam Bones”
“Likewise, Lord Emrys”
they finished their goodbyes and went their separate ways.
Back in the school, Dumbledore was talking to Harry about the constant the threat on his life. He told Harry that if wanted to get stronger to defeat the Dark Lord –If he ever struck again. Then he had to rely on his own strength and not Tiberius or Neville. When Harry left Dumbledore’s office, Ginevra whispered the same things in his ear. Only this time, those words had the weight of a love potion behind it.
With the second year over, the students vacated the castle and took the Hogwarts express home. Al except three. Tiberius was waiting on the Goblins to let them into the chamber of secrets. Hermione was quietly reading ‘the Tale of the Beetle and the Bard’. Next to Hermione, Romilda waited. Tiberius wanted to talk to Mrs. Vane before letting Romilda go home.
When the Goblins finally arrived, it took a few hours for them to take care of the Basilisk and it’s eggs. Tiberius gave Hermione the current market prices and black market price for every piece of the Basilisk and its eggs. He then allowed her to do the negotiations, afterall she was the one that was keeping all of the money.
Tiberius took two fangs and and a section of the venom canal as his reward. Everything else was sold for 100 percent of market price. The Goblins were happy and so was Hermione. She made a killing but the Goblins were going to make a fortune by selling certain basilisk parts in certain regions to triple and at times quadruple the cost of the product.
When business was finished, Noksby apparated the trio to the Vane estate.
“Romilda Annalise Vane! Where have you been?” Shouted a bearded man
Romilda scoffed and rolled her eyes. “Where is my mother, Henry?”
The scowled, even though he raised her she had never called him father. He was her step dad, well her third step dad to be exact. He was their from the time she 4 years old until now, 12 years old. She expected him to die any day now.
“She’s in the study…” he replied.
Romilda led Tiberius and Hermione into the Vane manor. Along the way they met Romilda’s hateful aunt, Sabrina. Sabrina was Mrs. Vane’s younger sister, She looked like a mature, Alex Grey, The p.o.r.n star. And her detestable mindless slag of a daughter, Emma, resembled Gina Valentina. When they finally reached the study, only Romilda and Tiberius went in.
At her desk Mrs. Vane was looking over some parchments. The only thing that Tiberius thought when he saw her was ‘What the f.u.c.k is going on here?’. Mrs. Vane was spitting image of Marley Brinx. The House of Vane was truely the House of Slags.
After Romilda introduce Tiberius, Mrs. Vane perked up and put her business to the side before sending Romilda away. Tiberius and Mrs. Vane talked about myriad of things, all of it small talk. Eventually, they began to talk about beautiful women of the Vane House. Tiberius told her how he had taken a liking to Romilda, but need someone a bit more docile. He even hinted her, if the opportunity ever arised.
Tiberius made it clear that he was not a one woman man, but need allies above all. He then offered his support to the House of Vane if the could offer a woman the House of Shafiq. He choose his words carefully. Mrs. Vane was a deceitful, cunning woman. That part of her is what Tiberius wanted to draw out
“Lord Emrys. The House of Vane can give you a woman if the House of Shafiq send a contract to our liking.” Mrs. Vane addressed him with a loving smile
“As long as she’s an heiress of sorts. Then an alliance can be struck without a hitch.” Tiberius replied with a smile. Mrs.Vane went shook his hand and led Tiberius out.
With Hermione on his right arm, the couple left the Vane manor.
