THE LONG LOST LOVE - Chapter 78

“So this is your ex-husband?”

Aurora nods. She then turns around and facing Yin Li.

“What are you doing here?”

“I just want to make sure that he is not a scammer.”

Ke MingQu was dumbstruck with his reason.

“Is my face looks like a scammer to you?” He asks.

“Yeah, don’t you see yourself in the mirror first before you go out of your house?” He replies to him with a bit annoyed voice.

“Yin Li!” Aurora yelled a bit.

Ke MingQu smirking. He then said “Even though I may not look myself in the mirror, but at least I know I more handsome than you and wealthy than you. Aurora here is such a beauty, she is not suitable with a person like you. Sorry, Aurora. But, he is so rude and annoying too.”

Aurora pinches her forehead.

“Hey, you also rude. Just because you had money and face, you think you can say something like that? Aurora loves me. There’s no way she can love you.”

Pap!

“Enough Yin Li! don’t ruin my day.” She grit her teeth try to calm down. She clenches her fist tightly.

Ke MingQu and Yin Li were surprised. Yin Li touch his cheek a little. His eyes show that he was hurt. Hurt with what she just does.

“Fine. I’ll go.” He said with a low voice.

Aurora’s heart starts to feel regret and guilt. She looks at his eyes, but..he immediately turns his face around and leaves her with Ke MingQu.

Once Yin Li was a bit far, Ke MingQu asks her. “Are you okay?”

“Huh?” She diverts her eyes to him. Her eyes seem a bit teary.

“Uhm..yeah..sorry, he was such a noisy.” She tries to hide her sadness.

“Do you want to go back?” Ke MingQu looks at his watch.

“Uh…I’m a bit hungry, maybe we can grab some dinner before we went back?”

“Okay..what do you wanna eat?”

“Mm..fastfood is also can.”

“Come on, I bring you there.” both of them went back to his rover car.

30 minutes later they arrive at one of the fast food restaurants near the town on their way back to main City.

Aurora’s attention seems a bit distracted since the incident between Ke MingQu and Yin Li.

“Are you listening to me?”

“Huh? Sorry..”

Sighing, he said again. “We can’t reach your home at 10 pm. It will be a bit late. Do you want me to inform your family or how?”

“Oh..it’s okay..I’m not a child, they will not asking about it either.”

“So, you’re saying that is also okay if we stay a night in here?” He suggests.

“Eh, why?”

Ke MingQu glance at the glass window as Aurora also look at the same direction.

Boom!

There’s a thunder grumbling on the night sky followed with heavy rain outside.

“That’s the reason.” He sips his coffee.

“But, we drive a car right?” Aurora said.

“That’s true..but..”

“The road that connected to the Imperial city is now are closed for a momentarily due to a fallen tree struck by the lightning blocked the main road. A few citizens who is injured because of this natural disaster is now being treated at the nearby hospital. Meteorology department said the heavy rain and thunderstorms will stop in the morning. All of the citizen which is on the traffic-jammed due to this incident now is advised to make a u-turn and reschedule the journey once the tree is removed from the main road.”

Aurora and Ke MingQu look at the hanging television.

“That’s another one reason why we should stay here for tonight.”

Sighing without any choice left, she agrees. Ke MingQu brings her to the finest hotel in the town and pays for two room. Luckily there’s still an open room while the other hotel seems to be full today.

“What’s your room number?” He asks her when both of them walks inside the elevator.

“801. and you?”

“909. it seems I am in the above floor.”

“Oh..so, I see you tomorrow.”

“Yeah..sleep well. Call me if you need anything.”

“Okay.”

They part their way after the elevator stop at the eight floors. While looking for her room, she bumps with someone in the walkway.

“Sorry.” She said and the person didn’t reply to her. She looks up and found that the person is Yin Li.

‘Why did he stayed here as well? Did he still following her?’

She opens the door once she taps the key card. She did not bring any luggage or changing clothes.

She opens the room closet and found a bathrobe.

“No choice…” she takes off her dress one by one and hangs it on the closet. She had to sleep with only bathrobe tonight.

She took a hot bath and after that she flump her body on the bed.

While she was staring at the ceiling, she suddenly remembers Yin Li’s sad face.

She took out her phone and send him a text.

“Are you asleep yet?”

5 minutes pass…

“Are you in your room?”

Same as before, he still not replying her. She turns off the light and shut her eyes to sleep after she was sure he will not replying her text.

Just after 30 minutes she sleeps, suddenly there’s a loud of thunder striking and that makes Aurora rise up from the bed in totally shocked.

She went to Yin Li’s door room and knock on it for a few times.

Knock! Knock! Knock! Knock!

“Open it… Yin Li..open it.” She starts to whimpering.

…

Yin Li was just about to want to go to sleep when suddenly there’s a loud sound of thunder.

‘She must be afraid right now.’ He thought.

When he lay on the bed, there’s a loud knocking sound from his hotel door. He sits up and went to open the door.

Once he opens it, Aurora hugs him tightly. She cries on his ċhėst.

Yin Li closed the door back and bring her to the bed. She still tugging her hand on his shirt.

“Just sleep. I’ll be here.” He finally said and lied down beside her.

Aurora sniffles and wipe her eyes before she closed her eyes back, try to sleep.

After 5 minutes, she was in deep sleep.

Yin Li help to fix her bathrobe which is wide open because she moves too much.

“You’re not wearing anything inside and dare to come to my room. Really, Aurora? How brave of you.”

He tugs her with the comforter after he fixes her bathrobe. He ċȧrėsses her cheek and kisses lightly on her lips before he takes the pillow and sleeps on the couch.
