THE LONG LOST LOVE - Chapter 87

Lee Mansion, the night of Athena’s return from the mission.

Yin Li sneakingly go to the servant’s house area beside the main house of Lee. Since he used to stay there since he was a kid, he knows a secret passage to the mansion.

He slings his guitar bag on his back and went to Aurora’s balcony. He stands at the outside of her room and find a few small stones and throw it to her balcony glass door.

Aurora was in her room, just finish taking bath. Once she heard the ticking sound on her glass door, she ignores it and blows her hair using the hairdryer.

Yin Li at the outside walks in a circle when Aurora still not coming out to her balcony. He finds another small stone and throws it again.

Aurora turns her head to her glass door before she finally turns off her hairdryer and took a gun under her bed. She worried that it might bad people or intruder. Even though Lee’s house is secure, she still needs to be well prepared with the weapon.

With only her lace nightgown, she slides open her glass door slowly and when she looking down from her balcony, she chuckles a bit and shakes her head.

She bit her lips try to hold her laugh, seeing Yin Li was at the ground, with a guitar. Really, is he thinks this is that era when a man secretly went to a girl’s house and play her song or say ‘i love you’ anymore? This guy is really a bit ancient.

She supports her head with her hand on the brick fence at her balcony. “What are you doing? Didn’t you mad at me this morning?” She asks.

Shrugged his shoulder he replies “Trying my luck.”

“Hmm..”

He runs his finger on the guitar strings. He starts to sing.

Aurora lifts up her eyebrow a little and tilts her head hearing the last two lyrics.

“Eh, honey..did you hear that? What’s that sound?” Hai Rin stands up from the couch and looks around the outside at her glass window.

“Maybe it’s our kids. Let’s check it out.” Richard said and went over to his wife.

“Mm..”

“I’m sorry I’ve been neglecting you and do not realize that I actually love you. Aurora, will you forgive me and start again? I promise I will love you.”

Aurora went inside her room after she hears that. She pinches her forehead and put the gun on her bed back. After thinking for a few minutes, she finally sighing and took her remote control and her comforter to the balcony.

Yin Li was dumbfounded when Aurora went inside her room back leaving him without any answer.

He lowered his head and put the guitar on the bag back. He knows, Aurora must be deciding to let go their past and move on. He’s a bit late to realize it and when the times comes, it was totally no use anymore.

Well, at least he tries even though his method is a bit lame and outdated, he tries his best. Singing is not really his favorite things, but for her, he did it.

Just when he wants to walk back, suddenly there’s a remote control thrown out from the balcony and hit his head.

Bonk!

“Ouch!” He touches his head before he looks at the thing that hit his head. Staring at it for a moment before he diverts his eyes back.

Aurora at her balcony. “Where are you going?”

“Home.”

“Eh, you have done with your performance? just one song?”

He feels like she was mocking him. He nods and wants to walk again.

“Hey. If you’re done. Hear me out then..”

Yin Li look up at her. Focus on what she wants to say. While Aurora breathes in before she starts.

“Mr. Yin, are you sure the feeling that you have for me is a love? You said that you’re not in love with me before, I was rough, rude, and a bit impatient. I am worst, I am your nightmare. I can never be your ideal wife. I have so many flaws. Do you really want to risk your life again entangling with mine? I give you your freedom. Why did you turn back to me? There’s a lot woman who fits you better than me..”

“I admit, you are worst. You can’t be an ideal wife. You have so many flaws, but…I realize that you only behave like that in front of me, you can show your bad and worst side, but you can also show your gentle and adorable side to me. I know you give me my freedom, but Ms. Aurora my life seems not complete when you’re not around. I can never have real freedom if you’re not with me. Yes, there’s a lot of women out there, but, no one can compare with you in my heart. That is when I know that I truly love you.”

Aurora feels a bit moved by what she heard. She indeed loves him so much, but the pain she feels, the heartbroken state she was in last time makes her afraid to have any relationship anymore. She was afraid to be hurt the second time. Especially with the same person she loves.

“..Mr. Yin, my heart is not a tool that you can play with. When you think you want me, you use me, and when you’re done, you abandon me…I don’t want to experience that miserable future in my life.”

“Ms. Aurora, I’m serious with my word. Every single of it.” He ȧssured her.

“Okay.. but don’t tell me that I didn’t say that I didn’t warn you.” She smiles and lay down her comforter from her balcony.

“Come in. I want to hug and kisses you right now.” She continues again.

Yin Li chuckles a bit. He went to the where the comforter was lay and just when he wants to grab the comforter, Richard suddenly clearing his throat making both of them flinch a bit.

“Use the main door, please.” He said and look at Yin Li with a serious expression before he turns to look at his daughter.

Hai Rin beside him, hide her face and trying to not show her smile to both of them.

“And you, my sweetheart, go and change your clothes before you go downstairs.” He instructs his daughter and immediately Aurora nods and went back inside her room.

Getting caught by her father was so embarrassing. She hurriedly changes her clothes and runs downstairs to explain to her father.

“You Mr. Yin, please follow me to the living room,” he said and went ahead with his wife while Yin Li follow behind them.

Sit on the couch on the living room, Yin Li lowered his head a little.

“I’m sorry Sir, I intruding your house.” He said apologetically.

“Hm. I happen to hear what you said to my daughter earlier. Is it true that you mean what you said?”

Look up to Richard, Yin Li said with a serious tone.

“Yes, sir.”

“Then, what can you offer to her, if I may know? You’re not that wealthy aren’t you?” Richard crossing his arm stare at him. Hai Rin also does the same as her husband.

“I may not wealthy, but I promise I will treat her good and makes her happy again. I can’t offer her something fancy, but all I can give is my heart and I will work hard to makes sure she is not lacking anything than what she has now.”

“Hmm..my daughter is very expensive for you to have. Last time, I make a mistake when I agree to marry my daughter with you without you pay any cents of it. But, I must warn you. This time, the prices will be higher. Will you able to pay it?”

“If he can’t pay you, I pay it for him.” Aurora voices out. She just arrives in the living room and happens to hear their conversation.

“Oh? How much do you have? Aren’t you too, working as a librarian?” Richard tilts his head a little staring at his daughter right now.

“Can I pay it monthly?” She sits beside Yin Li.

“Aur, don’t..it’s my responsibility.” He turns to look at Aurora before he said that.

“It’s okay…I want to go through thin and thick with you.” She smiles at him before she looks back at her father.

“Well, if you say so..than the prices are the same prices as I give your mother for her dowry.”

Hai Rin immediately shot her husband with a look ‘Dowry?’

Richard leans over to his wife and whisper. “10 billion dollar that I give it to you.”

“Oh…” Hai Rin finally understands and nods.

“How much, mommy?” Aurora ask.

“10 billion dollars.”

Aurora and Yin Li blink their eyes a few times before Aurora stammeringly said “Te…Ten billion?”

“Yes, honey..”
