THE LONG LOST LOVE - Chapter 91

20 hours straight meeting to find a solution makes Aslan was totally tired out. Just when he was out from the meeting room, his father and his sister already waiting for him at his office.

He sighs seeing them before he closed the door and take a sit on the couch. He leans his head on the couch and relaxes his body a little.

“Why you guys here?” He asks.

“As..have you eaten yet?” Andy asks and went to his son. He pats on his shoulder.

“No, I just had my lunch. I have a short break before I start the meeting again.”

“Hm, then I go straight to my point.”

“Yes, please.”

Rachael took a sit on the single chair while his father also took a chair beside her.

“About Athena, it was my decision to send Rachael there instead of you. You were busy with your company, so I want you to focus on your company and let Rachael protect her. I believe she also feels the same way as me.”

“Hmm..so you’re saying that I’m useless? I do feel like everyone thinks that I’m useless. Because of my company and I had limited time, I can’t protect her? Do you know if it was to choose between my company and my wife, I will you surely go to my wife? Is it because we didn’t marry because of love, you all think that I will neglect her and let her do everything alone? Especially when it comes to her real condition?” He stops for a moment before he continues again.

“Papa..seriously…I love her..I’ll do anything for her. But you make me looks like I was just a husband in name only. Even if I had time constraints, do tell me and I’ll figure it out what best for her. I know, it’s not your fault too but maybe she did not strongly love me as I do so that she decides to not to tell me, but as your family..why can’t you tell me? Is it because I’m not your real son? Because my real father once was a dɨċkhead and hurt your beloved wife?”

“Aslan..enough. Your background is nothing to do with my decision at that time. You are my son even if you’re not blood-related to me. I know, I was wrong. I’m sorry. But don’t vent your anger toward your sister and your mom. Next time, I will not exclude you for any decision that I make for your wife safety.” Andy said with a firm voice.

He stands up and pats on his shoulder. “I’m sorry.” He said before he walks out from the room.

Rachael also stands up and standing next to her brother. “She’s been sick since the day on the mission. You should at least call her. She’s been missing you so bad, brother.” She said before she also walks out from his office leaving him on the couch.

After both of them leave, he took out his phone and turn it on. He turns off his phone after he got the call from his ȧssistant that time and he forgot to turn it on back.

Once the phone starting up, he could see a lot of messages and missed call from Athena. His eyes were teary a bit.

He tries to call her, but her phone was unreachable right now. He opens the message she sends to him.

‘Aslan, I’m sorry. I should tell you about this. Please forgive me.’

‘Aslan..please turn on your phone and call me back.’

‘As…I can’t return to Arendell for a moment. I will return as soon as I can travel. If you don’t want to talk to me, then at least reply to my message please.’

He put down his phone and close his eyes. He knows he’s being cruel to her by letting her go through all alone.

He searches his contact and calls Zoro. After a few rings, he picks up his call.

“What do you want?” Zoro asks without greeting.

“Athena..where is she?”

“Resting, probably. Why do you care? Isn’t you the one who left her that day?”

“I can’t get through her phone. Where are you right now?”

“Home. And please..don’t call me again. If you want to speak with her, call her and not me. I’m not your middle man.” He said and ended the call.

He tries again to call Athena’s phone. But still unreachable.

“President, the meeting will start in another 5 minutes.” His ȧssistant reminds him.

Put the phone in his pocket, he stands up and went to the meeting room.

Imperial City.

“Athena, are you sure you wanna take this?” Ali asks her again. He was about to inject her with a dose that will make her morning sickness go away for a little while and she can eat like always.

She nodded. “Yes, am I able to travel?”

“Hmm.. you can..but it’s better if you take the speed yacht rather than airplane or jet. It’s safer for your baby. Because now you’re in your first trimester.” Ali gives her a suggestion.

Athena nodded again. She already asks her dad to prepare her a speed yacht with the cabin crew. She will return to Arendell using cruise and Aurora also will return to Southern city after sending Athena to Arendell.

“Here..your doses. This bag is very important. The one with a red cap is for you to stop your bleeding immediately if that ever happens. The one with the yellow cap is for your morning sickness. Once you decide what you want to do with your pregnancy, tell me so I will prepare your doses for extending your life span.” He handed her the black metal suitcase.

“Thank you so much, Ali.” She takes the suitcase.

“Don’t be. Be safe on your trip.” He smiles at her.

Today her mother and father sending her off at the jetty deck. She didn’t inform Aslan about her returning and she also not telling anyone except for her mother and father and also Ali. She just wants to make a short trip before she returns back to Imperial City. She just wants to talk this over with Aslan.

At least this time, she doesn’t want to lie to him again. Whatever decision that comes up next will be the one that she and Aslan agree.

“Take care dear..call me if you need anything.” Hai Rin hugs her daughter, Athena before she shifts to Aurora.

“Ermm, mommy I need something..” Aurora said with a spoil voice

“What is it?” Hai Rin asks.

“Money.”

Bonk!

Hai Rin smacks her head a little.

“Do I look like your banker dear?” She grinning and that make Aurora shakes her head.

Richard smiles seeing her wife being strict to Aurora. Athena was a bit shocked when her soft mother hit her sister.

“Then, good luck in finding 10 billion dollars, honey.” She pats on Aurora’s shoulder.

Athena shifted to her father. She hugs him for a while. Like always, she likes the feel of the security and her father warmth.

“Be safe. Inform me once you’ve arrived. And Athena dear…I love you.” He kisses her top of the head.

“I love you too daddy.” She releases the hugs and Aurora take a turn to hugs him.

“Daddy..your wife hit me.” She tries to complain to her dad.

“Really? Serves you right.” He chuckles and pats on his daughter’s head.

“Does it hurt?” He asks again.

Aurora shakes his head. “No.”

“That’s good then. It means you still remember that you owed me 10 billion dollar right?”

“Daddy! How could you!”

“We had a deal, right? Marry with my choice or 10 billion dollars for Yin Li?”

“Ugh, I will still choose my Yin Li.”

“Okay..like your mommy said, good luck in finding 10 billion dollars.”

“Hmph. Like husband, like a wife.” She kisses him on the cheek and runs to the yacht deck.

“Bye, mommy! Bye, daddy!” Aurora shouts from the deck while Athena waves to both of them.
