To reach a higher level, one had to complete many circulatory revolutions in their meridians before they could breakthrough to the next level.

It was almost like carving a pathway through the meridians with one’s spiritual Qi. A spiritualist needed to perfect these pathways to unlock all the potential in the body. He was currently up to the Tai Yin meridian point and was just about to try and break through to the Yang Min Meridian point.

The twelve major meridian points could be fully unlocked for a spiritualist to reach level 90, and to reach level 100 the spiritual meridians had to then be opened. There were over 100 spiritual meridian points on record, so needless to say going from level 90 – 91 was technically harder than all the previous levels!

Luckily, to breach any meridian point to make energy flow into it was much easier for with three spiritual gateways. The energy that flowed into the meridians started at the stomach, which is where the spiritual gateways existed.

There was a fable that a large dragon named the founding dragon that was near death once shrunk itself down to be small enough to go into a human’s belly button.

That dragon was about to be killed by the Founding Phoenix after killing it only to find it reviving from the ashes. In its dismay, the Founding Dragon escaped only to find a human to regain its strength in. From this process, it was said that the first spiritual gateway formed!

The Founding Dragon had been so grateful to the man that helped it that it left an eggshell in that humans body which eventually ended up turning into a spiritual gateway when it matured.

Since then, it was told that humans had been able to keep spiritual pets in their stomachs! However, whether that was a truth or a lie, only those in the Heavenly Realm would know! After all, the Founding Dragon and Founding Phoenix were both two of the most powerful creatures in all the heavens!

Even now, Occasionally they supported upcoming spiritualists with providence! It was for this very reason, dating back centuries, that most phoenix families hated dragon families, but both were loyal to the dragon emperor.

The Dragon had eventually won that battle against the phoenix and the founding family had been created! Because of that one battle, the Dragon EMperor became the ruler of all family lines, but also had to remain neutrality between the families!

‘Ugh, thinking about history hurts my head,’ Long San stopped thinking about the history of the continent and began pulling in more spiritual Qi. The energy started to circulate faster and faster until he destroyed the Yang Ming Meridian.

A flood of Qi surged through his body and suddenly his spiritual Qi circulation increased by a wide margin.

“Your body has entered into the Ardent Conqueror Rank. New oddity found in your Yang Ming Meridian. It seems to have three extra meridians fused inside of it.”

‘I don’t understand what that means? Do you know?” Sometimes, Long San could ask the AI in his body for answers, and its young, feminine voice would respond. “What does it mean to have fused meridians?”

“Fused Meridians mean that it will be much harder for you to level up from level 20 – 30. However, once you reach level 31, you should have the average strength of someone at level 40.”

Long San nodded his head and decided to get some rest.

The next day, he went out to explore White Reverence City and found a few good shops to buy some basic weapons, and a few rare plants that he could use to help solidify his recent Cultivation gains.

‘Great Wood Seed, and Milled Fillet Seed plus Toad Root can be grinded together and drunk in tea to help solidify a meridian breakthrough.’

Long San spent 10,000 Gold on the three items at the local plant shop and went back to his house and drank the tea. He sighed and looked at the calendar, tomorrow was the first day of the White Reverence tournament.

“It shouldn’t be more than 100 people, and I only have to get in the top 10.” Long San looked outside and saw a prince’s envoy walking in the street. “Ugh, it’s a shame I have to kill someone tonight! Hopefully, i can find someone that deserves to die!”

An Ai was currently in a bar drinking.

Though she was underage, women that were over 18 and had a spirit Pet were normally allowed into bars.

A few dozen wooden oak chairs were stacked in the corner of the bar while the bartender prepared to close up for the night. However, three men were seated around An Ai listening to her talk. Not a single one of them seemed to move an inch while her pretty pink lips talked.

“He didn’t ravage me! I-I practically forced him to meet me!” An Ai whimpered. “Wah! Wah! I-I want him to do well, but I also want him to die? IS this what love is like?”

“He-he’s a player! I’ll never fall in love with him!” An Ai Cheerfully downed another shot before she suddenly began to see stars. The next moment, a gentle hand caught her. “Hey-hey what’s going on? Why are you touching me! Who gave you permission.”

“It’s closing time, get out,” The bartender tossed An Ai onto the street.

She had come to White Reverence City as well, and went from being worshipped all the time to having to follow the rules. She got tossed into the brick wall and in front of a crowd of men currently talking and laughing together.

“Ha! What a skank! Kicked out of a bar? Can you walk in a straight line, young lady?”

“Maybe we can help her to a home? She won’t mind!”

“Hmph, I-I have a dragon!” An Ai stood up and smacked away the hand of a man. “Dragon Activate!”

An Ai summoned two dragon wings behind her back before she instantly fainted onto the floor. She had drunk way too much and her body couldn’t take the use of spiritual Qi.

Because of that, she passed out into the man’s arm that was staring at her lecherously. He almost didn’t know what to do.

“She’s a young girl, put her down,” The oldest man in the bunch said. “I’ll pay for her hotel.”

The Old man picked up An Ai and jumped off his back foot before he went into his apartment and prepared to toss her down onto the bed.

‘Heh, the idiots actually believed I was a good person! Haha! Let’s see! Let’s see what she has to offer.”

Boom!

A large force hit the old man in the back before he surged into the wall and crashed onto the floor. He felt blood shoot out of his mouth and the next moment what seemed to be a gust of wind shot him into the wall.

Boom!

Long San sighed and looked over at An Ai in the bed twitching with spit coming down the side of her mouth. Her white hair and white eyes showed a completely defenseless girl. Even he would probably also take her home. Luckily, he had been in the right place at the right time.

“Killing the man in front of you will buy you Seven days, He’s a distant relative of the Dragon Emperor.”

“Him?” Long San’s fist got covered with poison while two spears appeared in his fists. “How can he be a distant relative? He’s just a scumbag.”

“You-you’ll pay for that!” The black haired man with a strange goatee of what appeared to be a dragon on his chin soon started to transform. His arms grew hair and claws came along his hands while he seemed to grow a snout.

Long San somewhat trembled in surprise. He should’ve finished him off immediately! However, it was hard to kill someone with their back towards you let alone when they were facing you!

”That’s definitely a Royal Wolf Transformation. Only Divine spirit pets can give a transformation skill.’

Transformation skills allowed a person to change into the spirit form of the Spirit Pet they captured., and the Royal Wolf Transformation was one of the most common, but also not one to scoff at.

There were many types depending on the beast, however, they only became possible to utilize after level 30. Long San sighed and got a tiny bit nervous. Luckily, he had two skills from the dark angel he had yet to tryout against a foe.

“Hmph, I’m level 33 you brat! Unless you have a Divine ranked spirit pet, you won’t stand a chance against me!”

“I’m not an ordinary guy,” Long San cracked his knuckles. “Ordinary men don’t have to kill a few people a week.”

“Ho, so you’re the one that’s been killing those poor girls? Ha, I may take a drunk girl or two off the street, but I don’t kill them! Ha, taste this! Grey Wolf slash!”

Swoosh!

The black haired man surged at Long San at a quick speed and slashed him with three claws. They almost hit Long San, but he ducked and dodged like some type of strange animal.

“You-you little shit! You’ll pay!” The wolf transformation of the man, Barnett, sent his claws right at Long San’s fists while he constantly parried. However, it seemed to have no effect. Long San was too fast!

“Angel’s will, activate!” Long San’s first skill from Xama was a skill called Angel’s will that allowed Long San to appear much stronger and faster than he actually was to his enemies. It may sound simple, but it caused BArnett to measure his punches more carefully.

This was because Xama was a God Ranked Spirit Pet! A god ranked spirit pet was only born in one out of every 1,000,000 spirit pet! So of course the ability they provided would be good.

But what Long San was most excited to try was his Poison Punch! No one could underestimate an insect! Even at the divine rank!

Swoosh!

Long San ducked under Barnett’s fist.

“Shit! This kid is so fast! How is he doing it!”

Barnett sent a punch forward and skirted his claws against Long San’s face but missed. Long San parried gently before his fist seemed to turn green from the poison. He hit Barnett in the chest and then once in the side of the cheek.

Boom!

Barnett barely moved, but the next moment he looked down and saw a green circle on his chest.

“Poison? Do you see how thick this fur is?” Barnett laughed and pointed at the girl. “Look, you can take the girl and leave.”

“No, I’m just getting warmed up,” Long San smiled and watched the green Mark on Barnett’s chest slowly grow larger. “Haha, let’s finish this before she wakes up, shall we?”
