The Magnolia Beauty - 43 Goodbye
“Jianhong is dead?” With a confused look, Suyin couldn’t think of anything else. She slowly turned to Qin Fuhua, who showed no expression on his face.
It seemed as if Qin Fuhua had expected something like this to happen already. Weizhe had kneeled, cupping his hands together in front of Qin Fuhua.
“With him out of the picture, I believe that we have no more evidence to see who he is tied with.” Weizhe was distraught. After the Prince had left Weizhe and Zhaoyun to go meet with Han Suyin, the guards of Jianhong had scattered away. The ones that were caught had bitten their tongue, staying loyal to the man.
Qin Fuhua shook his head. “There should be something different about the people that Jianhong had been associated with.” The picture of the man in grey. “The men that Jianhong had been with is associated with someone who is greatly associated with poison.”
Although it was a start, Weizhe’s eyebrows lifted. He bit his lips and then nodded. Weizhe knew that Qin Fuhua would tell him to go investigate any clans or tribes that knew any poisoning sects or at least someone who was well known in making devices such as Jianhong had used to run away from them (smoke bomb practically, but a weaker version).
“Wait.” Qin Fuhua ordered in a mannerly tone. Weizhe turned around to the Prince. “Get ready and head back home. I will come in a couple of days.” Qin Fuhua ordered. Weizhe nodded and then left out the door.
From that moment, Suyin had remembered about the key that she held in her waist belt. “Ah.” She turned to Qin Fuhua, who looked back at her. “The key.” She had wrapped the belt a couple of times to make it sturdy enough so that it wouldn’t have fallen. “Tada~ I found it at least!” Suyin let out a big grin, proud of herself since she did this all by herself.
The rose-shaped key was handed to Qin Fuhua. He glanced at the key and then back to her. “Where did you get this?” He firmly questioned. How did she know that the people living in the Feng mansion would have possession in it, especially the maid?
Suyin shrugged her shoulders. “Staying in the Feng mansion, I had overheard about a key, hoping this was it.”
The most important thing she wanted to do was to leave this place. Of course, after saying goodbye to the new friends she made here.
Qin Fuhua kept a straight face, raising his head as he placed both of his hands behind his back. “Then your mission is finished. We shall leave tonight then.”
Tonight?! Suyin couldn’t possibly let Qin Fuhua know that she made friends here already, besides, it would have been rude to leave them like this.
“Ah…haha. Yes.” Suyin sarcastically laughed, “I’ll…. I’ll go pack.” She said in a hurried tone, quickly waving at him before she ran off down the corridors.

Waiting for the sun to rise below the mountains would be the perfect opportunity to head over to Feng Junli’s place. Hopefully, Shao Feng had come back from his mother about her time that is slowly ticking by.
Suyin had secretly acquired some common clothes that the people wore so that she wouldn’t stand out anymore (by threatening the poor maids again). Tying her hair up again to fake her identity as a male, she left the manor of Tienzheng and hurried down the streets.
Qin Fuhua wasn’t home since the last time she had talked to him, so he probably had gone to investigate the death of Jianhong. Although it should be a sad thing for Han Suyin, he was selfish until the end of his time.

“Young Master, someone is here to meet you.” One of the maids softly spoke outside of Junli’s room. “Someone by the name of… Shu….” The maid paused. There was no surname to go with that name, so the maid felt confused for a second.
All of a sudden, the slides of Junli’s doors swiftly opened. “Allow him to enter the manor.”
——————————————————————-
Suyin had entered the manor of Feng. Although Junli’s mother was not home at the moment, there were many servants and maids walking around to prepare a ceremony of some sort. Suyin walked down the corridors until she saw a familiar face—Shao Feng!
“Shao Feng!” Suyin happily said, dashing to him.
“Ah… Su–” He looked around in case people looked at them. “Han Suyin!” He whispered quietly to her. She laughed as well as little Shao Feng.
“I have some great news! Young Master Junli had allowed me and my mother stay here!” He happily said. “After you left, my mother told me everything and wanted to apologize to you.”
“Ah… heh heh… it’s my fault for being so impulsive.” She scratched the back of her head because she was embarrassed about her actions.
“You dare to come here to say hello to my young servant while ignoring me?” Another voice called out. Suyin and Shao Feng turned around to see Junli come in with a smile on his face.
“Junli!” Suyin said, waving at him.
“Sir Shu. It’s nice to see you again.” Jiayi politely bowed to Suyin.
Right… the only one who didn’t know about her identity was Jiayi. She nodded her head, grinning.
“What’s the occasion here?” Suyin asked, looking at the elegant pottery and plants that servants were walking back and forth.
“My mother’s coming home in a couple of days so we are setting up a little party. Would you like to come over?” Junli asked.
“Ah.” With a bittersweet smile, Suyin shook her head. “I…. actually came here to say goodbye to you all.” She said with a sad tone. “I’m thankful to meet you all and there’s nothing more than sincere words of appreciation for what you all have done for me.” She bowed to them all.
“Ah– it’s okay–” Shao Feng tried to stop Suyin from bowing but Junli quickly walked up to her and held her shoulders.
“If you have anything that troubles you, you are always welcome to stay here,” Junli stated. “Anything and anytime. Just tell me and I’ll go out my way.”
Suyin was surprised but nodded as she smiled. “My husband and I will be leaving tonight so I just came here to say my goodbyes”
With a couple of exchange in words with Shao Feng, Junli, Jiayi, and Shao Feng’s mother (who rested in one of the rooms), Suyin had learned that Shao Feng is taking care of his mother with the help of Junli who hired a medical doctor by her side. Although Jiayi didn’t know where the key had disappeared, Junli suggested to Jiayi that it was best to not look for it because he knew his disease and did not mind it at all. Of course, Jiayi still does not know that Suyin is a girl because she had left to help the others set up the manor for Junli’s mother…

With Suyin looking out the little cloth window in the carriage, the night sky was the only thing that can be seen. Suyin had made friends who actually supported her as a woman. If only everyone was like that.
Through this whole time in the carriage, Qin Fuhua was looking at her (of course, they are sharing one carriage after all). He didn’t need to stay as the identity of Tienzheng, so Qin Fuhua had taken off his mask, revealing his true face to the others (and of course, Suyin wasn’t even affected by this).
