The Maid Who Became a Knight - Chapter 112
Chapter 112
Nathan’s office heated up a lot. Hizen, Leasis, Max and Nathan were looking at a map on the table and shared their opinions.
Hizen had a plan drawn in his mind. Monsters were invading the whole Empire simultaneously. He had been relieved after the end of the power struggle between the Emperor and Elnos, but he had never imagined that such follow-up work would be necessary.
They could not wait any longer. Hizen calmly explained his idea. It would be him killing the monsters together with Leasis.
Max could not agree with him. The monsters were bigger than before, and it was difficult for the two to fight so soon.
Then he had to proceed methodically, but he could not reveal to Elnos this weakness. If the Imperial Elite Knights moved, the use of the magic circles would be recorded.
Ah! Max, who was struggling, opened his mouth wide. Come to think of it, didn’t Blix gave him Elnos’ tickets?
Max left the office with an insidious smile. Leasis asked him where he was going from behind, but he just roughly looked around.

The word ‘weakness’ did not go well with Elnos. Elnos raised his eyebrows looking at the person who reminded him of this foreign word.
Kneeling in front of him, Max was very relaxed. Unlike before, he spoke in a confident voice.
“That’s all I ask.”
“…You want to set up a Special Knights Division?”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
Are you running around without knowing your position after becoming the Commander? Cruelty appeared on Elnos’ face. He was not happy because he had been tricked by Blix and his imperial marriage was going to take place.
Despite the heavy pressure, Max did not even blink. He just ran toward one goal.
“Sir Dratius and Sir Berman are well qualified to be the Commander and Vice Commander of the Special Knights. I hope you will let them take the lead in killing monsters and destroying the remaining magic circles throughout the Empire.”
Elnos, with a fishy smile, tried to pull out his sword from the bedside. Max did not miss the moment and took a package of round cloth out of his jacket.
“Your Majesty, I have this!”
“Why would you…”
Elnos did not finish his question, but swore instead. Blix, I never imagined that stupid guy would have given this to Max.
No, but when did the two become so close? Elnos had a puzzled look on his face.
Max was very elated against him. He put the precious package back into his jacket, disregarding his opinion.
“We’re going to deploy the Imperial Elite Knights who were on duty with them. Currently, all of the Imperial Palace’s missions have been completed, and the 1st Division of Imperial Knights have discussed in advance to cooperate with us if something were to happen within the Imperial Palace.”
Discussed in advance? These guys, really. Bloodveins rose between Elnos’ fine eyebrows, but he did not even notice.
Elnos called himself stupid because he did not know Max was such a mean and shameless person.
“Anyway. That’s all for my request.”
“Your Majesty?”
“I will grant your request.”
“Thank you, Your Majesty!”
After getting what he wanted, Max hummed on his way to the Commander’s office. But the door was a little open.
Shadows were fluttering along the dim lamp in the quiet office. Max waved his hand with a pleased face when he saw the sculptural young man.
“Are you here, Commander-nim?”
“Yes.”
Max grinned as he sat on the sofa in front of him. The news were good anyway, but it was good that the person concerned came first.
However, Hizen’s face was full of solemnity. Looking closely, there was a pair of rings in a small case on the table.
Oh my. Max grinned as he understood his intentions in an instant. It seems that he had prepared a ring for Leasis.
A luxurious sapphire with a brilliant platinum glowed nicely. There were no colorful imprints or decorations, but a simple yet elegant line.
Hizen asked nervously.
“Do you like it?”
“Yes. I’m sure Miss Leasis will be pleased.”
I’m glad to hear that. Hizen’s face brightened up. He took a clean handkerchief and wiped the ring as if it were a treasure.
Max smiled softly and looked at him. What was in Hizen’s hand was a white handkerchief that Leasis had given him once.
Like a lot of men, he used not to carry a handkerchief because he found it bothersome, but he had changed his mind. If it was something from Leasis, it was worthy.
Hizen was clumsy, but he wiped the ring thoroughly. His heart was pounding because of the shimmering ring.
Hizen’s face turned red little by little under the lamp, and his mind was agitated.
‘If you like it…
It was the first time he wanted to be so desperate over a small thing. But it was sweeter than eating macarons, so he could not stop smiling.
Hizen closed the case of the ring and carefully took it. It was the one who was going to stay on Leasis’ left ring finger, so he should treat it well.
The two who had returned to the Imperial Palace were busy. They took some time to greet all the knights, and visited Ramashter only to get scolded. They went to Baron Berman’s mansion and prayed for all the deceased, including the dead maid.
Before they knew it, the capital city was beautifully colored by the sunset. Leasis and Hizen sat on a wooden bench that they had come across.
Hizen was lost in thought, hugging Leasis’ shoulders. Due to Max’s performance, the two would be appointed as the new Commander and Vice Commander of the new Special Knights tomorrow.
They would include strong talents such as Jason and Setchen, and some imperial wizards.
“I think peace is really coming now.”
Leasis’ eyes sparkled like stars. She was always beautiful, but she was even more lovely at this time.
She wanted people to be happy, unlike how she had been. She wanted the path for the newly born children to be a sunny road with flowers in full bloom, not a rough road with broken glass.
Hizen laughed as he looked at her. Now he had a dream unlike in the past when he wielded a sword only out of duty.
It was all thanks to Leasis. Having lived a hard life, she was able to cherish the little peace and truly understand the pain of others.
Hizen was sincerely looking forward to Leasis’ future. She was a better knight than him, and she would continue to shine. She was truly a woman whose eyes were shimmering.
Looking back, every moments he had been with Leasis were pink. Hizen’s eyes filled with sweet love and turned to Leasis.
In his eyes, the ordinary wooden bench was shining in five colors, and Leasis looked prettier than the princess of a fairy tale. Her red hair dancing along the wind was unrealistically beautiful.
“Hizen, are you crying?”
Hizen hurriedly turned his head and swallowed his tears. Then Leasis burst into laughter and wrapped her arms around his neck.
She liked to hold hands lightly, to kiss, and to express her love with her body and mind. The vivid emotion filling her heart was love.
Hizen was now determined to be honest. He hugged her tightly and whispered in her ear.
“I love you.”
Hizen’s straight face, long neck, and hands were all beautifully colored. He raised his trembling hand and carefully grabbed her cheek.
When he kissed her, his golden eyelashes trembled. Her wavy red hair flying in the wind seemed to smell sweet.
It seemed like Leasis and him were the only two people left in the world. Like time had stopped, he wanted to feel this moment so much that he wanted to stop breathing.
The feeling of happiness burst into his heart. Now he wanted to enjoy happiness with Leasis forever.
Even if he was greedy. Hizen’s wet eyes bent finely as he looked at Leasis.
“I love you.”
These words made her happier everytime she heard them. Leasis wiped away Hizen’s tears and laughed. Now it did not matter what was the correct choice.
She just had to be with Hizen. She did not care if it was the wrong answer. In Leasis’ life, Hizen was the answer.
Leasis took a deep breath. The sweetness of happiness spread to her lungs and she smiled.
“I love you more.”
“No. I love you more.”
“No? I love you more.”
The two burst into laughter at the same time. The two hands held tightly together were the hands of those who had suffered all their lives.
They were rough and hard, with scars everywhere. At the same time, they were friendly and full of love.
Hizen kissed the back of her hand and murmured seriously.
“Lea. Your hand looks empty.”
Do you want me to pick up a sword? Leasis tried to guess his intentions. Then Hizen grinned and pulled something out.
Her red eyes grew bigger when she saw a beautiful pair of rings. She looked alternately between the rings and Hizen.
Hizen sometimes gave her gifts such as brooches and pendants, but this was the first time he had ever gifted her a ring. Receiving a gift from him always made her thrilled and happy.
However, she never imagined that he would give a ring to her as a knight. It was a ring that looked so luxurious. She hesitated, not daring to touch the precious ring.
Hizen carefully took out the ring and put it on her left ring finger. It fitted perfectly because he had secretly measured her size with paper when she was sleeping.
Leasis could not take her eyes off the ring decorating her manly hand. Even if she brought all the rings in the world, she was sure that nothing would be more beautiful than this ring.
It was a gift containing Hizen’s heart.
Their hot lips overlapped, and their big hands stroke each other’s heads. They did not stop, to the point where the cold ring heated up warmly.
After their rough kiss, Hizen put his head on Leasis’ thighs. Leasis slowly bowed over Hizen’s face.
He smiled, softly pulling her cheeks. When they kissed each other again, lovely voices passed through each other’s lips.
I love you.
