The Malevolent Female Villain Turns Out to Be Me - Chapter 119
Chapter 119
Ye Junwen curled his lips as he thought of that man.
It was by chance that Ye Junwen met Zhen Kechuan. At that time, Ye Junwen was still a high school student, while Zhen Kechuan was already a famous burglar in the country.
There was once a school-organized spring outing to the eastern suburb, and Ye Junwen, who didn’t like to mingle with his classmates, secretly left the group and wandered into a small forest.
As Ye Junwen walked, he discovered a small cave. He was very curious, but also afraid that there might be fierce beasts inside, so he stood at the entrance and shone his phone’s flashlight into the cave.
Then, Ye Junwen saw a person lying inside, covered in blood and motionless. He cried out, thinking he had stumbled upon a homicide scene, and was just about to flee when he heard the person in the cave call out to him.
“Kid, come over here!”
Trembling, Ye Junwen stood there, too afraid to run or approach.
The man in the cave chuckled hoarsely and lazily, “Heh, kid, don’t be afraid, come over and help me bandage up, or else I’ll really die.”
Ye Junwen swallowed hard, still afraid, but took shaky steps forward.
The man couldn’t help but laugh at Ye Junwen’s appearance. “Kid, is it that scary? As a man, your courage is too small.”
Ye Junwen’s manly pride was immediately stirred, and he tried to stay calm as he strode over, saying resentfully, “I’m already seventeen, not a kid! My courage is not small!”
To prove his bravery, he even reached out to start removing the man’s clothes. “Where’s your wound? Let me take a look!”
The man was amused by Ye Junwen’s actions and quickly stopped him.
“I’ll do it myself.”
Ye Junwen snorted, stopping his hands and squatting there, staring at the man, then realizing he looked familiar, as if he had seen him somewhere before.
Zhen Kechuan had already removed his facial disguise, and seeing Ye Junwen staring at him, he was not at all flustered, but curved his lips into a mischievous smile. “Kid, do I look familiar to you?”
Ye Junwen nodded subconsciously.
“Heh, here’s a hint – I’m a wanted criminal.”
Ye Junwen bowed his head, thinking for a moment, then suddenly sat down on the ground, wide-eyed, and tremblingly pointed a finger at him. “You…you…you’re Zhen Kechuan?!”
Zhen Kechuan disliked having fingers pointed at him, and immediately grabbed the finger, his voice cold. “Don’t point at me, or I’ll break all your fingers!”
Ye Junwen’s finger was seized painfully, and he immediately struggled to withdraw his hand back into his sleeve.
Zhen Kechuan was amused by Ye Junwen’s cute appearance and couldn’t help but burst into laughter, but the movement caused his wounds to ache, and he sharply sucked in a breath of cold air.
“Quick, help me bandage up.”
Ye Junwen actually regretted coming in, but was too afraid of death to disobey the man’s intimidation, so he tremblingly helped treat the wounds on his abdomen and shoulder.
It was not difficult to see that the wounds were gunshot wounds, and Ye Junwen had seen the news that the police had opened fire during the arrest, but Zhen Kechuan’s abilities were too strong, and he had managed to escape.
Coincidentally, Ye Junwen’s mother had packed some iodine, bandages, and adhesive plasters in his backpack for the spring outing, which came in handy, although he really didn’t want to help him…
Ye Junwen carefully treated the wounds, afraid that any carelessness would anger the man and cost him his life.
Finally, after everything was taken care of, Ye Junwen let out a sigh of relief.
“I-I’ve treated it, can I leave now?”
Ye Junwen tightly gripped his small backpack, as if as soon as the other party said “okay,” he could immediately “launch” himself out of here.
Zhen Kechuan gave a slight smile and beckoned to him with his finger.
“Kid, you saved me, so if you ever need anything, you can always come find me. Big or small, I’ll help you unconditionally.”
He then produced a phone card.
“This card is for contacting me. Just dial nine of the same number, and you can reach me. For example, nine ones.”
Hesitantly, Ye Junwen took the phone card, not daring to look at the man’s face, and responded with his head bowed, “I-I understand.”
“Mm, alright, you can go now.”
And so, Ye Junwen fled the small cave without looking back.
In the cave, the man held a student ID, looking down at the name on it. “Ye Junwen, I’ll remember you.”
After returning to the group, Ye Junwen kept staring at the phone card in his palm. He had wanted to throw it away, but thinking of the man’s identity, he suddenly didn’t dare.
So when he got home, he locked the card in the box where he kept his diary.
He never thought he would actually use that card, until later when he was bullied by his dorm mates at university. Angered, he impulsively took out the card and dialed the nine ones.
The next day, some of his dorm mates were killed in various accidents – hit by a car, crushed by falling objects, or robbed and murdered by small-time thugs. As the only survivor among his roommates, who had previously had a conflict with them, Ye Junwen naturally became the prime suspect, but in the end, no evidence could be linked to him.
From then on, Ye Junwen’s courage grew, and he would seek Zhen Kechuan’s help for anything. Zhen Kechuan was also happy to assist him.
In fact, Ye Junwen wanted Zhen Kechuan to help deal with Ye Jinchen, but Zhen Kechuan said, “You can find your own way to get rid of him. After all, killing your own enemy with your own plan is more satisfying. But you have to hide yourself well, and that phone card is your best invisibility cloak.”
And so, the current situation came about.
Returning to the hospital, Old Master Ye and Ye Junli did not show any particular expression, only asking Ye Junwen to discuss the company’s affairs together.
Old Master Ye said, “Even though Jinchen is injured, the company cannot be left without a leader.”
Ye Junwen was delighted and was just about to volunteer himself, when Ye Junli spoke up first.
“Dad, I’ll take care of it. After all, I’ve just stepped down, so I’m more familiar with the company’s affairs.”
The old man nodded.
Ye Junwen hurried, “Dad, since Jinchen is so seriously injured, wouldn’t it be better for Big Brother to stay in the hospital to take care of him? I can manage the company’s affairs.”
Old Master Ye’s hands on his knees tightened slightly. Of course, his youngest son was eyeing the company.Nnêw n0vel chapters are published on n0v/e/(lb)i(n.)co/m
Closing his eyes, pretending to ponder, he said, “Junwen, you’ve only been at the company for a short while, so you’re not too familiar with the management. How about this – after the New Year’s holiday, you and your big brother can both go back to the company. Junli will be the temporary president, and you can work as his assistant to learn the management work. When you’re capable of handling things on your own, your big brother can come back to take care of Jinchen.”
Although unwilling, Ye Junwen still nodded reluctantly.
“I understand, Dad.”
