The Malevolent Female Villain Turns Out to Be Me - Chapter 171
Chapter 171
Liu Lawyer was staggered by the sudden slap across his face. He had just regained his balance when he saw his wife charging towards Jian Hongmei, grabbing her by the hair and yanking her up from the sofa.
Jian Hongmei had no time to react to what was happening. She only felt a stinging pain on her scalp, followed by a flurry of slaps across her face.
The stinging pain brought Jian Hongmei back to her senses. She had lived a pampered life for so long and had never suffered such humiliation before. She let out a shriek and reached out to grab the other woman’s hair.
Soon, the two disheveled women were in a frenzy, wrestling and pulling each other’s hair.
However, Jian Hongmei was physically weaker, having been waited on hand and foot for most of her life. She was no match for the strong, sturdy woman attacking her.
Jian Hongmei quickly found herself overpowered, unable to retaliate against the onslaught.
Liu Lawyer was stunned by the scene unfolding before him. It took him a while to snap out of his daze, only reacting when he heard Jian Hongmei’s cries for help.
“Xiao Fang, Xiao Fang, stop! Stop hitting her!” Liu Lawyer rushed over and grabbed Xiao Fang’s raised right hand, just in time to prevent another blow from landing on Jian Hongmei’s face.
Seeing her husband restraining her, Xiao Fang fumed, “What’s wrong, feeling protective of her? Liu, I never expected you to be keeping a mistress behind my back. If I hadn’t followed you here on a hunch today, who knows how long you would have kept this from me!”
“Let go of me, you bastard! I’ll deal with her first, and then I’ll deal with you!”
Xiao Fang struggled to free her restrained right hand while using her left hand to yank Jian Hongmei’s hair harder, causing Jian Hongmei to howl in pain.
Liu Lawyer was infuriated by his wife’s actions. Looking at Jian Hongmei’s rapidly swelling face, he feared that if Xiao Wenyao found out, he would make life miserable for him.
The more he thought about it, the more anxious he became. He tightened his grip on Xiao Fang’s hand, causing her wrist to hurt. Instinctively, she released Jian Hongmei’s hair and tried to strike Liu Lawyer, but he caught her other wrist as well.
Free from Xiao Fang’s grasp, Jian Hongmei, with a clump of her hair torn out, raised her hand and slapped Xiao Fang’s face repeatedly.
“You wretched woman, let me return your blows tenfold!”
As Xiao Fang struggled to break free, kicking Liu Lawyer and cursing, “Ah! Liu Lian, you’re actually helping your mistress hit me? Have you had enough of living?”
“Ah, ah! Damn you! Liu Lian, you bastard, I’ll report you to your office, and I won’t let you have a good day in your life!”
Liu Lawyer just wanted to let Jian Hongmei vent her anger for a bit before taking his wife away and explaining things to her.
But hearing Xiao Fang’s threats, he shoved her away with force. With a loud thud, Xiao Fang fell to the ground, her head slamming against the edge of the coffee table.
Liu Lawyer paid no heed, shouting sternly, “Wang Fang, enough! Are you ever going to stop? She is the wife of my boss, Wenyao. He got into trouble and asked me to take care of her food, lodging, and other needs. There’s nothing between us!”
Jian Hongmei was startled by Liu Lawyer’s shout and stood motionless.
Xiao Fang, however, did not respond to Liu Lawyer at all. He thought she was just shocked by his outburst and took a deep breath, intending to console her.
But upon closer inspection, he noticed a pool of fresh blood seeping from the back of Xiao Fang’s head. She lay there with her eyes closed, her chest rising and falling faintly.
Liu Lawyer’s heart sank as he crouched down, feeling for her breath. It was very faint, but she was still breathing.
“Xiao Fang, Xiao Fang, what’s wrong? Quick, call an ambulance, call an ambulance!”
Jian Hongmei stood there, unmoving. Liu Lawyer looked at her frantically, pleading, “Madam, Madam, please help call 120 (emergency services). She can’t die!”
Jian Hongmei remained unmoved, staring at him coldly and scoffing, “Call 120? Hah, aren’t you afraid that when she wakes up, she’ll report you? Aren’t you afraid that the police will investigate this incident and uncover other things, and then… arrest you?”
“I recall, you don’t want to go to prison, do you!”
Liu Lawyer’s breath caught in his throat. “But…”
Jian Hongmei seemed to read his mind and sneered, “She’s your wife, yet she doesn’t trust you at all. Without even listening to an explanation, she attacked you. If I’m not mistaken, she controls you strictly, doesn’t she? Tsk, tsk, tsk, how pitiful!”
Liu Lawyer froze. It was true that he and Xiao Fang had a loving relationship, but Xiao Fang was extremely jealous and suspicious.
If he came home late, she would suspect he was fooling around. If he spent a little more money than usual, she would suspect he was keeping a mistress.đť’©ewW đť’Źovels updđť’‚tes on nov/đť’†l/b(i)đť’Ź(.)com
He didn’t want to live such a repressed life, especially seeing his colleagues and friends happily displaying their affection, with their understanding wives treating them well. He envied them deeply.
But Xiao Fang had sacrificed so much for him, and he couldn’t let her down. To avoid constant tension at home, he had always endured her suspicions, placating and appeasing her to make life a little more bearable.
Now that Jian Hongmei had brought it to the surface, he couldn’t deny his frustration. But…
Looking at his wife lying there, barely clinging to life, he couldn’t bring himself to abandon her.
“Little Liu, when can I go visit Wenyao? If he finds out I was beaten, he’ll be heartbroken. Oh, and if he gets angry and says something in the heat of the moment, that could lead to consequences beyond our control.”
Jian Hongmei straightened her hair, sighing wistfully.
In his life, Liu Lawyer feared nothing more than going to prison! The deeds he had done for Xiao Wenyao, even if they didn’t lead to the death penalty, would land him in prison for life…
He had plenty of money. Without Xiao Fang, he could find a gentle, caring woman to be with.
But if he lost his freedom, he would lose everything.
In the end, fear overcame reason. Liu Lawyer looked up at Jian Hongmei, his lips quivering, “Madam, what… what do you want me to do?”
Jian Hongmei curved her thin lips into a smile. “Kill her. As long as she’s dead, you’ll be safe.”
Liu Lawyer gazed at his unconscious wife, took a deep breath, and closed his eyes. After a moment, he slowly opened them again.
Seemingly with a determined mind, she trembled with her hands as she picked up the still-bleeding head and violently smashed it against the corner of the coffee table.
“Bang bang” two sounds, blood splattered, splattering onto Liu Lawyer’s face and also onto the red nightgown of Jian Hongmei standing beside him.
The woman, who originally had a faint breath, finally stopped her heartbeat.
Liu Lawyer slumped to the floor, unable to recover his senses for a long time. He had killed someone, he had really killed someone…
Jian Hongmei squatted down and patted Liu Lawyer’s shoulder, smiling, “Don’t be afraid, from now on, we’ll be bound together. Neither of us will have any problems!”
As she finished speaking, Jian Hongmei looked towards the corpse lying on the ground, her eyes full of scorn.
How about that, slandering me as the mistress, even hitting me, I made your husband kill you with his own hands, not too much, is it…
