The Medical Phoenix - C1
Mu Chengfang woke up from her dream and immediately felt that something was amiss.
His face and back were burning.
Looking at her clothes again, the fabric of the dress was indeed luxurious, but there were a few spots of bloodstains on the aqua colored hem that made one’s heart palpitate with fear.
Saying that, he turned around and walked out of the room without even looking at the person on the bed.
Mu Chengfang sighed and slowly got up from the bed. With just a slight movement, his back was already in pain like it was being torn apart. Resisting the pain with great difficulty, she pulled out a piece of rag and wiped away the copper mirror on the bedside. Then, she shone it on her back.
The originally beautifully embroidered luxurious dress now had an extremely miserable underside — streaks of blood crisscrossed across it.
There were also red marks left on the left and right side of her face from slapping away at her lips, causing her beautiful face to look extremely ghastly.
Mu Chengfang shook her head and looked around the cabinet. Other than a dried up mouse that had been dead for god knows how long, there was nothing else.
As a graduate of the major in forensic medicine, she couldn’t even do such a simple thing as dealing with a wound.
She listened to the sound of the rain outside again. The rain fell on the eaves, making a “Tick Tock” sound. Other than that, it was completely silent. The cold spread around her, and she shivered.
At this moment, a burst of hurried footsteps broke the silence. Through the gaps in the window, she saw a middle-aged woman running over with an anxious expression. She looked around, pushed open the door, and rushed in.
“Miss, this old servant is incompetent.” As soon as she entered, the woman immediately knelt down and cried.
Mu Chengfang could smell the medicine in the bag in her hands, “Help me bandage my wound first.” In such a vile environment, if she didn’t hurry up and clean up his wounds, she would have died the moment she teleported over.
“Sigh.” The woman brought water from the outside and then spread out the clean gauze, carefully cleaning the wound.
Mu Chengfang frowned, she gritted her teeth.
She did not utter a word, and the woman’s heart ached even more, “That ungrateful bastard Xu Yaozong, once he has made it, he would be ungrateful. If not for you holding him back, what virtue would he have to be to be an official today?” The more he spoke, the more he sobbed.
Mu Chengfang understood the origin of the original owner from her intermittent words, and a tinge of indignation arose within him.
First, he was bullied by his mother-in-law. After Lu Yujin, the concubine, entered the room, she was framed and caused discord between the husband and wife. What was even more speechless was that the affairs of her family were actually controlled by his concubine, his legal wife had fallen to the point where she looked down upon even the servants.
Even if he didn’t fight back against this bunch of bastards, was it good to leave? If she stayed in this house, wouldn’t she be beaten to death, allowing her to travel here?
After the woman had bandaged her wound and put on a clean set of clothes, Mu Chengfang called her over and whispered a few words to her.
“You’ve finally thought it through!” When the woman heard this, she was overjoyed and quickly responded.
Mu Chengfang rubbed her sore shoulder and sat down on the edge of the bed, avoiding the rain. Just as she was thinking about it, the sound of footsteps came from outside again. Upon hearing the woman’s voice, she knew that it was not that woman and she did not want to see her. She rushed over and locked the door, then gritted her teeth and painfully pushed her way to the cabinet on the table, blocking the door.
Just as he finished doing all this, he heard the young girl arrogantly scolding, “Why aren’t you dragging that shameless bitch out yet?!”
They rammed the door even more violently than the maidservants before. The two bullies were in full fury. As they continuously rammed into the door, the tables and chairs trembled, and the shabby door was on the verge of collapse.
