The Messenger of Death - Chapter 370: ATTACK ON SEVERANCE ACADEMY IV
“What gave you the audacity to treat my disciple like that, chipmunk?”
Everyone present knew who Nana was, she was famous in the Celestial plain realm. Not because of her position in the Claus clan, but because of her strength, talent, and her unreasonable personality. When Nana was still a teenager, she terrorized the people from the same generation as her and when they weren’t fun to terrorize, she went for her seniors.
The cultivators from the middle-aged man’s generation bore the brunt of her madness until she wasn’t interested in them anymore. Then she went for the generation above the middle-aged man’s generation. Most of the people on the Celestial plain realm know her as the Frost witch of the Claus clan.
Many of them here felt that the middle-aged man was definitely going to die here today.
“Y-your dis-disciple?” The middle-aged man paled when he repeated those words.
Contrary to what Al thought, most of them here weren’t close to Nana’s level. But because he couldn’t accurately estimate their cultivation strength, he concluded that they were on the same level as Nana.
“Cough, cough, cough.” Al cough furiously.
He tightened his fist in anger. He felt a bit humiliated by what just happened. If Nana had not arrived when she did then he might have been put in a really bad state.
When Nana saw that Al was coughing furiously, it pained her heart. And then she saw how pale his face had become. She immediately concluded that this man tortured Al.
“Miss Natalia… I had no idea that he was a disciple of yours if I had-” The trembling middle-aged man began but was interrupted by Nana when she raised a palm.
She was looking at Al and when she turned her attention back to the man, she seemed to look more furious than she was a few minutes ago.
“No matter the type of explanation you have, it still doesn’t change the fact that you used your filthy hands to touch my disciple. Your only salvation will be death.” Nana said.
Immediately she said this, the middle-aged man turned around and shot into the distance as fast as he could. He wanted to tear through the Excepto and run back to the Celestial plain realm where he could find some semblance of safety.
However, just as soon as the thought crossed his mind, he felt the whole world slow down. The frost that was on the hand that Nana sliced off had started to spread around his body rapidly.
“You can’t escape from me, chipmunk,” Nana muttered.
-Boom!
The middle-aged man exploded into thousands of snowflakes. The shockwave from the explosion traveled to where the powerful individuals from the Celestial plain realm were in the air. Although it was just a shockwave, it caused a thin layer of ice to appear on top of some of them.
This further made them more terrified of Nana than they already were. Those of them that were jealous that the middle-aged man got to Al before they did were happy now that they weren’t the ones that made a move on him first.
The snowflakes that landed on the sea and part of the island, froze everything in their path, turning hundreds of kilometers into iced land.
Nana then returned her attention to Al when she noticed that his cultivation had increased again. Al was awestruck by her power once again.
[‘I guess I was wrong, these people here might not be comparable to Nana.’] Al mentioned.
[‘At all! Look at their faces, hahaha!’] Alex chipped in.
-Pat!
Nana slapped the back of Al’s head.
“Ouch!! Can’t you see that I am already injured?!” Al shouted.
-Pat!
Nana slapped the back of his head again. “Raise your voice again, I dare you.” Nana threatened.
“I…” Al paused as he swallowed the words he was about to utter.
[‘Hey rabbit, this isn’t my scene.’] Al said as he quickly switched with Alex.
-Switch.
[‘Damn! This cheating!!’] Alex complained.
“You what?” Nana had a questioning expression on her face, waiting for Alex to speak.
“Cough, cough. I’m sorry for raising my voice at you.” Alex apologized for what he didn’t do.
[‘Atta boy,’] Al encouraged him.
[‘Hypocrite.’]
[‘It is my pleasure, rabbit.’]
Alex exhaled to stop himself from throwing insults at Al. Deep down, he was delighted that Al was acting like his usual self again.
“Good. How did your cultivation increase this much in such a little time?” Nana folded her hands on her chest as she asked.
“Shit!” Alex whispered.
He too had just realized that his cultivation had increased and despite his weakened state, Alex could tell that his strength in the past couldn’t compare to the strength he could feel coursing through him now. Alex then noticed that Nana wasn’t dressed in her usual nightgown. “Oh Nana, you look good in this color.” He blurted out.
-Pat!
“Ouch!!” Alex cried out after receiving another slap behind his head.
“Answer the question.” Nana insisted, not falling for his attempt to change the topic.
[‘Damn it, Al, this wasn’t the deal!’] Alex stated.
[‘Deal? What deal? I don’t remember making any deal.’] Al feigned ignorance.
[‘You were the one that ate the last Midas petal that we had.’]
[‘And you are welcome, no need to thank me any more than you already have.’]
[‘You are the one that is meant to face the brunt of her questions!’] Alex argued.
[‘Oh stop being a petty bitch and just tell her the reason why I had to consume the petal.’] Al said.
Lex and Xander refused to join in on this conversation.
“Don’t keep me waiting boy,” Nana spoke and interrupted his conversation with Al.
“I had to take what was left of the last petal in other to gain enough strength to get another petal,” Alex explained briefly.
-Pat!
“Fool, you don’t even know what you have done to your foundation. A Spirit Condensing realm cultivator with no spirit.” Nana spat out angrily.
“Why did you have to compete for this particular petal, and if I hadn’t arrived here on time that bastard… who knows what he would have done to you?”
Alex hadn’t told Nana why he was so adamant about getting the petals, and he didn’t feel like letting her know about it now. He wanted to speak, but he didn’t know what to say.
Nana saw that Alex was silent and immediately figured something out. ‘He’s still keeping secrets from me.’ She thought. Nana shook her head and decided not to pressure him.
“I am going to seal your cultivation, taking it back to the Nirvana realm.” She informed Alex before placing a palm on his chest.
Alex felt a stream of energy flow through his chest, down to his core region. This energy began to surround his core and started to suppress his cultivation. In a few seconds, Alex’s aura returned to that of a cultivator in the peak of the Nirvana Realm.
“There, that should help stop every damage you’ve caused to your foundation,” Nana said once she was done. She removed her palm from his chest.
Both Alex and Nana had forgotten that there were people around them. And the people around them didn’t dare to make a sound as none of them wanted to give Nana any excuse to come after them.
The only person that was strong enough to take Nana on, is Amir’s father, and he wasn’t interested in anything but finding out the truth about the person that obtained the Midas petal first.
“Let’s go back to the academy,” Nana said and grabbed Alex’s hands, but before she could make any other move, Amir’s father spoke.
“Wait!” Amir’s father called out to her.
Since Nana arrived here, she had already probed everyone’s strength, making her aware that the person that asked her to wait is someone that had the strength to take her on. With Alex here, she didn’t want to be unreasonable and start a fight with people that could eliminate him in a blink. But that doesn’t mean she’s going to listen to any rubbish.
“I need to find out if your disciple stole the petal from his Highness.” He said.
“You got another petal?” She asked and Alex replied with a nod.
“Not bad. Did you steal it from anyone?”
Alex snorted, “That fool wishes. I got to the petal first and I took it as my reward. That idiot is just making false claims.” He replied.
Most of the people here were shocked when they heard how openly Alex insulted a person from the Phoenix Royal family. It was like challenging the entire Phoenix Royal family, and that never ends well.
Nana only chuckled at his insults, not doing anything to stop him. She then turned her gaze towards Amir’s father and said; “There you go, my disciple said that he didn’t steal anything from anyone.”
“I can’t take his word for it,” He said.
“Then take mine,” Nana quickly replied.
“I also can’t do that because you seem to listen to anything your disciple says. Just a little test will confirm if your disciple is saying the truth.” Amir’s father mentioned this, Nana’s aura exploded out of her body.
The day turned into absolute darkness and it was as if the entire Lower plain realm was going to crumble in the presence of Nana’s aura. “Are you calling me a liar!” Nana uttered and her voice echoed, causing everybody’s heart to quake in fear.
Amir’s father also released his aura, countering Nana’s own and causing further damage to the Lower plain realm. “No, but as someone with responsibilities that concern the Midas petal, I have to confirm this.”
Suddenly, a wormhole appeared in the middle of the auras, and then a man with long grey hair appeared there. This man waved his hand and shattered the two terrifying auras like they were bubbles.
Immediately, everyone present, including the Prince and those on the island, bowed and chorused. “We greet the North of the Great Guardians.”
This man acknowledged their greeting with a nod and then turned to face the only two people that didn’t bow to greet him, Nana and Alex.
“Hello, great, great Grandpa.” Nana smiled as she greeted…
