The Messenger of Death - Chapter 375: REVENGE ON CAMILLA
Before Xander noticed Camilla, she had been watching him, trying to figure out how Alexander had survived, moreover, how he got so strong in such a short time.
Just when Camilla had thought to herself that she should avoid Xander as she was sure that he was quite a vengeful person. At that moment, Xander noticed her.
Xander disappeared from his previous position and reappeared beside Camilla with his killing intent reaching its peak. “I never expected to see an old face here,” Xander uttered. His voice reverberated with dominance, making those that heard him speak, want to bow to him.
Except, that didn’t apply to Camilla. She is also a Class-1 Primordial bloodline holder, the only difference between her Class-1 bloodline and Alexander’s, is the title ‘Supreme’. Not every Class-1 Primordial bloodline can be given the title Supreme. Although there isn’t much difference in strength between the two types of Class-1 Primordial bloodline, the bloodline with the title supreme has a few advantages over the other.
“And I never expected you to survive,” Camilla responded as she activated her bloodline QI, not willing to take any chances with the terrifying individual in front of her.
“Why don’t we find out if you will also survive my attacks,” Xander stated before his fist tore through the air and arrived in front of Camilla.
On reflex, Camilla crossed her hands in front of her chest before Xander’s punch could reach her.
-Thum!!
Camilla was sent flying.
[‘Oii, Xander, you know that we can’t kill her right?’] Alex reminded.
[‘Why not? This bitch almost killed us too. It’s rude to not return favors.’] Al replied.
Alex ignored Al, waiting for Xander to reply, however, he didn’t receive a word from Xander.
This new development shocked everyone that was around. The people around all know who Camilla is, and she even has fans amongst the crowd. They also know that Xander has only been attacking the invaders, now they wondered why he was attacking Camilla.
“What is he doing?” Camron muttered with wide eyes when he saw that Xander had attacked Camilla.
Camilla’s teammates were also stunned to see this terrifying person attack one of them. “Snap out of it guys! He’s not done with her. Let’s go help her.” John said to his teammates, bringing them out of the reverie they were in.
While John was speaking, Xander had already vanished from his previous spot and had reappeared in another spot, waiting for Camilla to arrive there.
“Argh!” Camilla grunted in pain. Xander’s lightning made her arms feel numb and incredibly hot. She could feel the bones in her arms shake as if they would break.
‘This asshole is going to get it.’ Camilla let her bloodline boost her cultivation and powers. Her eyes started to change as her pupils turned yellow and white foxlike ears grew out of her head. Her fingernails grew longer, looking as sharp as knives.
Her human ears retreated into her head, making it look as though they were never there, to begin with.
A second before Camilla reached where Xander was waiting for her, she tilted her body to the side, dodging a kick from Xander. With this tilt, Camilla guided her body to the ground, firmly landing beside Xander whose body was still in momentum from the kick he pitched.
Camilla immediately pitched a punch at Xander’s chest. This punch of hers packed a lot of force, almost as strong as the one that Xander gave her before she was sent flying.
Right when Camilla’s fist was about to hit Xander’s ribs, his hand arrived in the spot that was about to be hit and caught her hand. Xander used her hand as support and quickly turned his body, returning to a position that he was comfortable with.
“Argh!!” Camilla cried out in pain. The lightning on Xander’s body was burning her fist. In pain, she withdrew her fist and extended her claws out, aiming for Xander’s face.
Xander saw her claw at his face, but he didn’t make any attempt to dodge or block the attack. Just when her sharp nails were about to reach his skin, they stopped where they were. The streaks of lighting that had been coursing around Xander’s body, moved to stop her sharp nails.
Camilla struggled to move her hand forward, but no matter how much she pushed, she couldn’t reach Xander’s face.
Unexpectedly, Camilla felt her chest cave in as she had just received a powerful stamp from Xander’s foot.
“Ptuu!” She vomited a mouthful of blood as she was sent flying again.
Camilla still couldn’t believe that Alexander had gotten this strong. ‘I might really have to use my bloodline powers here.’ She thought as her heart ached.
“Victor, try to keep him away from the Camilla as long as you can, the rest of you all should assist him. We are not a match for that guy, so don’t overdo it. Just try to stall him a bit while I get Camilla to a safe place.” John commanded as he went for the rocketing Camilla that was sent into the distance by Xander.
-Whoop!
A vine made up of water whipped through the air and arrived before Xander.
-Puuchh!!
The vine had hit Xander’s protective streaks of lightning, but it was still able to make Xander take 10 steps back.
Seeing that his attack was a bit effective, Victor sent another water vine at Xander again.
The first time that the vine reached Xander, he wasn’t expecting it, but now that he was aware that Camilla had supporters, he was ready to deal with them too.
Xander waited for the water vine to approach him before grabbing onto it. The water vine lifted Xander off the ground and into the air throwing him further away from Camilla. However, Xander also sent a bolt of lightning at Victor, through the water vine that he grabbed onto.
Victor felt the hair on his neck stand erect and he quickly moved back, letting go of the water vine that used to attack Xander, and yet, despite his quick reaction, Victor was still sent flying by the lightning that he tried to avoid.
-Boomm!!
Victor immediately fell unconscious after being hit by lightning.
“Victor!!” His teammates called out.
John had just reached Camilla when he heard an explosion and the voices of his teammates screaming out Victor. John turned his head to look at what happened and the moment he did that, he let his guard down.
A bolt of lightning fell from above and was coming for John. Camilla sensed the lightning coming and she reacted by kicking John away from her, also using him to push herself away from the bolt of lightning.
-Boom!
Thanks to Camilla, both of them weren’t hit by the bolt of lightning.
-Ttzznn!!
The bolts of lightning in the clouds made a crackling sound as if they were mocking everyone below it.
“Is this the true power of a lightning elemental user?” A bystander wondered out loud.
Such elemental users have always been rare breeds in the 3 plain realms, so many people have only heard tales about the frightening powers of lightning users. Now that they were seeing it, they couldn’t help but shudder in the presence of its destructive might.
However, what most of them didn’t know, is that Xander wasn’t only a lightning elemental user, he also possessed a Class-1 Primordial bloodline with an affinity to lightning.
Surprisingly to Camilla, when she got up, she saw Xander standing far away without moving. She thought that he wasn’t going to attack anymore. Unfortunately, contrary to her thoughts, Xander was only preparing something big for her.
Xander raised a hand and pointed at the clouds. Suddenly, the whole arena became as silent as a graveyard.
A few seconds had passed before anything happened.
-Roarr!!!
A loud roar echoed in the clouds. This roar shook the minds of the weak people around, making them unconscious. The strong ones coughed out little blood after hearing the roar. Some people were able to resist coughing out blood, but they started bleeding from their nostrils.
After this roar, the head of a Dragon made up of thousands of bolts of lightning came out of the cloud. The rest of its body followed after with its length almost reaching 7 meters and its width like that of an adult elephant.
-Roar!!
This Dragon roared again, making everyone bleed from their ears.
[‘Xander! You can’t kill her!! What if Grace comes back to look for her? What will we tell her then!!’] Alex protested when he saw the lightning Dragon.
[‘Then we’ll just tell her that her niece beat us halfway to death’s doors and then left us in the forest to die. If we don’t tell who will?’] Al mentioned.
[‘But there are thousands of witnesses here!’] Alex argued.
[‘Meaning thousands of people to kill after killing her.’] Al replied.
Al didn’t like Camilla, and he didn’t have any qualms about killing her.
[‘Lex, say something!’] Alex called out.
[‘I also don’t support killing her, at least not now. Things might not end well with Grace if we do so now.’] Lex chipped.
Xander had been listening to them argue, but he still decided to do what was in his mind, to let the lightning Dragon fall on Camilla. Xander then dropped his hand, and the lightning Dragon followed suit.
It shot at Camilla, from the sky. When the lightning Dragon was just a few inches away from Camilla, Nana’s fair palm arrived in front of it and slapped it out of existence…
