The Military System - 12 Emergency Quest 1
He realized that he was pathetically weak now, and he could not accept it. Add never liked the idea of keeping his life up to fate. He had to become strong, so strong that he could ascertain his own safety and freedom, without having to care for others.
Another problem was that, Add was able to use only a fraction of his combat skills. His memories of using the skills were perfect, but his body was not habituated in such skills. In simple analogy, think of a flamethrower made of plastic. All that power, all that fire, but if you try to use it, it will melt in your hands. Add had realised this right after waking up in this new body, for this reason he had bought the [Unarmed Combat Mastery] and [Pistol Mastery] skills. Having this skills helped him a lot but still it was not enough.
Add asked the system for help as well, but it said that skills could not be carried by souls, and remained a feature of the physical body. Having no other way, he decided to do intensive daily training in order to accustom his body to the movements and techniques he honed in the decades as a soldier.
Since he had earned some money, it was enough to last a month with ease, so he was in no hurry to go on other quest. He would have trained this body first, but since his predecessor was quite poor, Add had no choice to earn quick money before doing anything else. Hs looked at the night sky and sighed, what he had done today was bound to gather attention. Since he had no way to undo it, he decided to deal with the things as they came and went to sleep.
Next day, with daybreak Add was already out of Rigel making a round of the city wall which was around 10 kms long. Even with his enhanced stats it was still a hefty task to do. It took him a little over an hour to do it. Next he returned to the inn. Back in his room he did Sit ups, Push Ups and Curl ups a 100 of each. This was his daily routine back in the special forces. By the time he was done with all this his body was twitching and numb all over, yet Add didn’t mind. He had to get in top condition, and slacking off was never an option.
For the next few days he kept this routine. He rarely went out of the Inn except to have his meals. He only went to the guild once to deposit his registration fees which was due. Because of his intensive training he included more meat and vegetables in his diet, which increased his expenditure but it was necessary. After a week had passed Add looked at his stats.

The daily exercises for a week had enhanced his Strength, Agility and Endurance stats by 1 point each. Add nodded satisfactorily at the result. He figured he was not that weak anymore. He went to a weapons shop and bough a spare dagger for 3 silver coins. It was not wise to expose his gun to others, and he had to have a weapon to use. It was nowhere close to the combat knife, but it would have to suffice for now. Add then bought some cheap clothes and shoes plus a water bottle made of wood and leather.
After a week had passed, he now wanted to take some more quests to quickly earn CP and level up. But entering the guild he felt a strange atmosphere. Many guild staff were running here and there, and most of the Adventurers had serious faces and were discussing among themselves. Add walked to the familiar receptionist who had registered him.
“What is going on ? ”
“Oh its you boy… Well the Guild Master just issued a compulsory quest today. All Adventurers are required to take part in it. You can see the details on the quest board.”
Add went to the quest board, and looked at it. A big parchment was hung on it, dwarfing all other requests.

EMERGENCY QUEST : GOBLIN SUBJUGATION
A LARGE HORDE OF GOBLINS HAVE BEEN DETECTED IN THE SURROUNDING FORESTS OF RIGEL! THEIR NUMBERS ARE ESTIMATED TO BE IN THE HUNDREDS WITH HOBGOBLINS AND GOBLIN CHAMPIONS AS WELL.
ACCORDING TO INFORMATION GATHERED BY THE SOURCES, THE GOBLINS HAVE MADE MANY LARGE CAMPS A FEW KILOMETRES INSIDE THE FOREST.
LOOKING AT THE POSSIBLE DANGERS OF THIS SITUTAION, THE GUILD HAS DECIDED TO LAUNCH A LARGE SCALE RAID ON THE GOBLIN NESTS IN THE FORESTS.
ALL ADVENTURERS ARE TO JOIN IN THE RAID AGAINST THE GOBLINS. REWARDS WILL BE GIVEN BASED ON INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTION.
ALL ADVENTURERS ARE TO REPORT TO THE GUILD BY AFTERNOON.

Add realized immediately, that this had to do with the horde of goblins he encountered. The guild must have sent some people to scout the forests. And they must have found traces of a large goblin Infestation. And the scale of this infestation, must be very alarming for the Guild to issue this quest.
What worried Add was however the supposed presence of Goblin Champions. These were a special breed of the Goblin race. They grow large enough to even be seen as ogres in terms of strength. They often lack in intelligence, but are capable fighters that can give even veteran adventurers trouble. They are considered to be C rank monsters. These were very tough monsters to deal with. He had read in the library that even C rank Adventurers were sometimes killed facing them.
The Adventurer’s Guild at Rigel had over a hundred Adventurers, of which 5 A ranked adventurers, 22 B ranked Adventurers 31 C ranked adventures and the rest were D to F ranked. Such a line up should be more than enough to deal with thegoblins. Add quietly stood among the adventurers waiting. This was a good opportunity to earn Exp. And CP.
“Hmm ?”
He suddenly felt that someone was watching him. He turned around but instantly the gaze he felt disappeared among the tens of Adventurers present in the Guild.
“Looks like I’m being watched….” Add’s eyes narrowed as a tiny yet chilling smile crept up his face…..” Interesting….very interesting…..”
