Seeing the spell descriptions made Raizel smile victoriously. He was well aware of the fact that the myriad hack system is not an all-powerful cheat. It also had its own limitations and one of them is that its capacity is decided by the ability of the host.
Even with the system’s online vertical mapping function could merely extend to a quarter kilometer and that is the full extent of his existing power. But these two spells are game-changers for Raizel. Their energy source is the atmospheric mana, so the spells could cover a very large chunk of the area.
Raizel estimated that it should be able to scan a hundred kilometers radius in all directions including the sky above and below ground. The only flaw is the spell duration which will depend on how long the caster’s mind could keep it stable. This is not the spell technicality at fault but the user’s ineptitude.
Spells and Skills were also graded strictly during the ancient period. In accordance with their merits and flaws they were divided into five grades;

Impeccable grade spells are without a doubt the most flawless spells but Raizel and ancients both knew there is nothing which is truly and absolutely perfect.
However, these two spells were perfect for Raizel because the one maintaining them will be the system which is like a secondary mind inside him, plus the constant energy supply from the multiple pseudo realities it can easily keep the spells going forever.
Why else would a formulating just spells make Raizel happy!
In his present condition, knowing your surroundings is a crucial necessity, a tiny slip up could even kill him again. His soul isn’t as strong as it used to be so if he died, he will be gone for good. That’s why even weak spells like these two could envoke a little bit of happiness.
‘System, construct holo-models of {Earth Reconnaissance} and {Wind Reconnaissance} spells simultaneously.’
[Task established]
[Spells holo-models construction will cost 20 myriad points.
Begin holo-model construction- Yes/No]
‘Begin’
[Constructing holographic spell models…task duration 3 hours.]
This is why Raizel had the wolves stand guard and delayed his conquest. He knew the system would take time to build the holographic spell models or in short holo-spells. Holo-spells are constant imagery of the spell circle which keeps the spells active.
Raizel unsheathed his twin swords and began to practice with it until the spells are built.
When magicians cast a spell they temporarily create the image of the spell circle in mind. The spell remains active for as long as the caster could preserve the spell circle image. For instance, if you use the fireball spell and keep its image and mana supply stable, the spell would create a fireball for you with every circulation it completes.
But except for autons, even Raizel has seen very few minds capable of such feat. Though, many creatures have imprinted spells and skills in their genes. This allowed them to instant-cast spells or use skills without any prior training.
3 hours later…
[Beep. Holo-spell models construction complete.]
‘Cast both spells simultaneously and integrate the received data into the online vertical map.’ Raizel says mentally while sitting in a meditative posture to recover his energy.
[Holo-spell models; {Earth Reconnaissance} and {Wind Reconnaissance} active.]
Two highly complex green and brown spell circles formed above Raizel’s head. The runes drawn in the spell circles lit up as the spell models start to swivel– promptly catching velocity.
After ten minutes, the rotation speed stabilized and the two spell models took positions; brown one went under Raizel’s feet and the green remained above his head albeit horizontally.
‘It’s working.’
Raizel saw the vertical map furiously expanding with red and blue colored dots spotted in multiple areas. His vertical map soon morphed into a three-dimensional hologram, showing every creature under its area of effect. Some dots were even overlapping onto one another which meant there was a creature on both the surface and underground.
‘I see the wolves have already reached the village.’ He thought, seeing his village projected in the new holographic map. Seeing two dots mounted on one other also confirmed to him that the training has already begun.
“Looks like I need to pick up my pace.” Raizel mutters.
‘System, match goblin and wolf life-signatures with all the dots around 5 kilometers radius of me.’
With Raizel’s order, a ring automatically emerged on the map following which a few areas were highlighted with green and grey dots. The green dots for goblins and grey for wolves. With this Raizel discovered the most crucial data of his quest– the location of all his targets and their numbers.
According to the system’s holo-map, there are only twelve goblin villages and three more wolf dens around his selected area. But they are far from enough to satisfy Raizel. Because none of the goblin villages had more than 20 members thanks to our constantly visiting neighbor race, the Humans from Runhat kingdom.
Even though goblins could reproduce in an insane stride, it’s hard for female goblins to bear children– another marvelous trait of the Imp gene. So they need human women to keep up their numbers. As such, conflicts between the two races are natural.
In fact, this conflict was the most critical cause of the goblin city’s destruction. But Raizel decided not to distract from his goals right now and threw these thoughts on the back of his head. There are currently a hundred more or so goblins in the five kilometers dai-radius of him.
This amount might seem a lot but it is actually devastatingly low and the total ground Raizel covered is twenty kilometers counting five in all four directions. Heck, the absence of goblins in the east and west parts of his village totally expresses their going extinct.
So Raizel as repayment for the goblin ancestors’ knowledge planned to gather all the scattered goblins and establish the goblin city again.
‘Its time to hunt.’
Raizel hastily stepped out of the den and directly hopped on to a wolf’s back. He sent the coordinates of the closest goblin village directly into the three wolves’ brains.
The wolves sprinted up and started running, tailing behind the weird arrow sign on the corner of their sight. They were stunned by its very existence and that no idea how they even knew it was an arrow.
But they didn’t question their master and simply followed his orders.
