The Myriad Hack System - Chapter 30 Chapter 29
Raizel exits the hut and finds Yumina guarding the entrance. He lightly taps her shoulders causing her to recognize his presence behind her. A shocked look pasted on Yumina’s face. She was on high alert the entire night, even ants passing by the grass couldn’t escape her senses but just now she didn’t even notice his presence before he touched her.
“The humans have reached our premises, alert everyone for battle. Make sure to only engage in battle after all of the humans have entered the village.” Raizel says sternly.
“There are 5 groups, 2 headed our way with a total of ten members. Make sure to catch them all alive. They will reach us in ten minutes.” Raizel informs before Yumina leaves in haste.
10 minutes passed, the humans reached the goblin village…
“ATTACK!!!”
“KILL THE GOBLINS!!”
with two unnecessarily loud shouts, the human mercenaries rammed towards the goblins in the village. There was no probing, no scouts just plain old barbaric fighting style. However, this attitude of humans only serves to gain a sneer from the newly trained goblins and wolves.
“Fire and Water intertwine, Steam Mist.” Old Greeny casts as soon as all the humans enter the village. Steamy mist enveloped the entire village and crippled the enemy’s sight. But this was no issue to the goblins who innately had a thermal vision in their eyes.
*Smash*(8x)
*Thud* (8x)
Before the enemy could figure out what was going on, groups of wolf riding goblins sprinted out from behind the huts and attacked the humans. They could not see what was happening and before they could figure anything, all of them went out cold with a decisive blow to the head.
Just five minutes later, when the mist cleared all the humans were lying on the ground unconscious. With the help of the axillary system, the newly trained goblins had taken them down by a strike to the neck like veteran assassins.
This was the power of the battle simulation function of the system. For the last three days, the goblins used this function to fight against numerous humans as training. With the axillary system as a guide, how could they not show such excellence in face of a few untrained cultivation-less humans!
Before long the humans were bound with thick tree vines and presented before Raizel. Squatting down Raizel drew a diagram on the ground with is nails and gestured Old Greeny.
“Old Greeny, draw this circle around the village and fill the lines with human blood. The positioning of sacrificial human bodies must be accurate. There should be a help signal bomb on the humans, use it to summon the other human groups here…25 humans should enough to cover two kilometers premises of the village.
These humans will become the shield that protects this village.” Raizel orders sternly without a hint of remorse. The diagram itself was concrete proof of his extreme brutality.
Though it was an Exordium spell formation, it greatly exceeded Old Greeny’s knowledge. The old goblin didn’t quite understand the specifics of the spell and was enchanted by it. He planned on carrying out Raizel’s order to the best of his ability and study it afterward.
The poor goblin was completely unaware of the horror he would witnesses once the spell formation activates that would leave his old bones quivering in fear for years.
“Divide into groups and start hunting the human groups one by one. With our numbers, it shouldn’t be too hard with your new powers. I want all the humans gathered here before dusk.” Raizel instructs before disappearing back into his hut.
48 goblin riders plus, Yumina and Old Greeny– surrounding and killing human groups should be a piece of cake. 15 vs 50 was overkill even though none of the goblin riders had mana or aura yet. But Raizel still proposed a pincer attack strategy by ordering them to split into groups.
The troops swiftly moved into action, leaving only Raizel and the wolf leader to hold the fort(village). As for Raizel, he started inscribing runes into the wooden fences of the village with his aura enhanced fingernail. These runes would serve as the core array of the spell formation. As he did that his thoughts wandered around aimlessly.
‘I wonder if it would work…the diagram I grave Old Greeny is a test to see if translated runology could be used or not. If so, then I deceive the natural laws and boost the fertility of goblin women by 500% while cleansing the imp gene without spending a single myriad unit.’
‘Also, I should simplify the gradings tomes. With so many cultivation systems in my head, the grading is becoming jumbled up. Even if I can understand them, the races under me might not be able to.’
‘I don’t get the need to grade spells according to their flaws and me grading tome stages as legendary or mythical is just childish, like a kid lost in fantasies. But thinking up new names is kind of a pain in the ass. So, let’s exchange the names.’
‘Exordiumu003eRudimentu003eProvitalu003eAtypical… This one should do fine since it literary means what the stage represents.’
‘There is also the topic of coined energy, with the changes brought by my two cultivation tomes, I should be able to form the coined energies once I reach Exceed Rank. I am very eager to see the upgrade of psionic energy once it infuses with the new daos.’
‘I also have to create a new energy for my cosmic path– maybe I should just create three new ones instead, cause infusing eight laws in one energy makes would make it much more unstable, flawed and impure.’
‘Fusing soul and body laws can also mean synchronized injuries. Means if my soul is hurt my body would be too, vice verse. Forming separate forces for body and soul is a much better option that should be most efficient.
After all, fusing branches of a single category is much easier than fusing a direct opposing branch, it won’t compromise the purity, volatility, or stability.’ Raizel thought as he continues inscribing runes on the fences.
Raizel already determined coined energy as a core requirement for entering firmament level law cultivation. He knew that having multiple coined energy may make reaching Paragon Rank, the rank after Nirvana much more difficult.
But he also acknowledged that this could not be helped. If he tried to create an extreme energy with eight laws than it would definitely result in his demise, not to mention fusing four body laws with four soul laws, even if he had his previous life’s cultivation it was an impossible task.
But as an ancient being who fought off an entire universe, it was hard to swallow his pride and say that he couldn’t do it. He wasn’t worried about forming new energies, he already had experience in that field with the advent of psionic energy and myriad units.
(Yep, Myriad Units are a coined energy unique to Raizel)
