The Mysterious Superstar : Quick transmigration to CEO - Chapter 46
Yan Shu locked herself up in her study. Since only her study room contains her confidential informations, she didn’t care even if Si Junyan enters her bedroom and sleeps there or maybe even take a shower in her bathroom.
With that, she started to imagine how Si Junyan enters her room and gets into her bathroom then opens his shirt and his well-maintained half body reflected on the bathroom mirror. And then….
‘Sh*t! What’s wrong with me!! No, no I can’t be lured by his charm…’ She shook her head vigorously. She slapped her head slightly while scolding herself for having such wild thoughts. And again, like previously, she shifted all the blames to her 26 years old virgin mind.
She went to the study table and took a seat then turned on her precious laptop that she missed so much. It was really troublesome to use Su Mo Jiaran’s computer in the Su Mansion since she had to set it up like hers before everytime she uses it. Then again, remove everything and turn it back to how it was after she was done using it. Half of her time gets wasted on setting it up and removing the whole thing at the end. Hence, she felt a feeling of great relief when she opened her laptop as she caressed it too.
Soon after, she settled herself in work mode. She then run through a check on Gu Zexi and Chen Lili. As both of them were in the Industry, not to mention that one had a notorious fame despite being so successful before getting the crime stain on him. The other, was a woman who was known for being pretentious.
Chen Lili was like a stone seed in the industry. She entered the industry three years after Yan Shu. They even worked in a movie together with Chen Lili being the second lead, when Chen Lili gained some fame and Yan Shu was already on top. That time, Chen Lili used various methods to befriend Yan Shu or know her methods of being on top so early. What she didn’t know was Yan Shu had already seen through her hence ignored her as much possible leading to Chen Lili being jealous and trying to destroy Yan Shu by posting a picture of her pitiful face and indirectly mentioning that how lowly the seniors treat their juniors in the set. In addition, she even hired a paparazzi to capture the moments of Yan Shu ignoring her, which spiced things up. Later, Yan Shu’s PR team released a statement clarifying that Yan Shu had three projects going on altogether and with the constant change in the character she was playing and being tired after shooting one after another every day, she didn’t have the energy to gossip with someone after the long day of working. Only then, did the netizen’s view changed and instead started to sympathize with Yan Shu. After that, Chen Lili lost half of her projects for trying to clash with Yan Shu and becoming the constant in the industry who neither bloomed nor rotted.
On that account, it was not wrong to say that she was the one who benefitted from Yan Shu’s disappearance in the industry.
After a long time of going through various websites and apps to check on Chen Lili, including the deleted posts, she found out pictures of hers with various directors and producers and even rich businessmen coming out from bars, hotels, guest houses etc. It was more surprising that the posts were deleted the second they were posted. That proves that she has someone powerful enough behind her. When she went through her call list, it was surprising that she only had her manager, Assistant and Gu Zexi on her call list from several months along with some credit card calls. The same thing was found on Gu Zexi’s side.
It only made Yan Shu’s belief stronger. She needed to hire someone to follow them or to get closer to them if she wanted to know more.
As she give a thought over her and Si Junyan’s relation, she tried hard to remember her childhood days if she’d meet someone with that name but to no avail. Her memories were completely blur as it always been. And whenever she used to ask her mother about it, she would just tell that her brain wasn’t nutritious enough for developing purpose making her forget most of the things and her mother would then tell her a fictional story of hers and she would imagine it as her own life.
Now that she thinks of it, she felt something was off and strange. How can one not remember a thing about her own life! Over the years, she didn’t get the time to dwell upon it but rather didn’t feel the need to remember it but because of Si Junyan, her feelings of knowing her life events of childhood only kept growing stronger. Despite the risks, she wanted to get deeper of the matters that involved her.
She picked her phone and typed a number before dialing it.
“Hey, hon. What’s up? Bored of your teenage life?” A melodious tone wafted in Yan Shu’s ears as soon as the call was received making her smile. Demi never fails to lighten the mood.
“Well, I took a month of break from school. And with those Magus lessons going on how can I life be bored instead of rotten?” She also joked around.
“Well. You never call unless you are in need of something.” Demi taunted.
Yan Shu wasn’t as much outgoing as she thinks to be. In fact, if the other doesn’t take the step first to talk to her she would never care to talk back to. Or even if they takes the first step, her response make them step back. With the people from Magusloop, they got along because they needed to work together. Not to mention that Magus made it compulsory for them to meet with at least once a week, so that their bonds can get stronger and their trusts on each other strengthens. With that, along with the days and nights of chats in the gc they became closer with each other more than their own school friends.
If not for that, Yan Shu wondered if she’d ever have a friend. Nonetheless, she was really indebted to Magus for that and she is greatful for having them around.
Thus, when Demi stated the facts in a manner of joke, she felt slightly guilty.
“Hey, I was just kidding. Don’t take it to heart. We all know how busy you are and now with that new persona you have a lot of things to adjust to. So I understand. I was just making fun of you, I’m sorry. Okay?” When Demi didn’t get any response from Yan Shu after that, she felt worried as she realized she said the wrong thing.
“No, I am the one at fault. You were just stating the facts.” Yan Shu replied with a tinge of sorrow and regret in her tone.
“Let’s forget it, the past things. We should start everything fresh wmsince you are a whole new now. What do you say?” Demi tried to cheer her up afraid that she would think of those past events again and start self-condemning.
“As you say. But, indeed, I needed something from you. I mean I need your help in something.” She remorseful said in a low voice.
“As long as it’s within the things I can do, I will always be there whenever you need me. Come on, hon, now spill.”
“Is there a way one can bring her forgotten memories?”
“You got a dementia or alzheimer patient?” Demi felt confused as to why would she ask that.
“No, it’s about me. I feel like some of my childhood memories are gone from my memory. I want to remember them back or at least know the people I met or any friends I made back then.” Yan Shu then explained the whole thing about Si Junyan and how Si Junyan kept saying that he was Yan Shu’s childhood mate and how Bai Yan was regarding her as his sister back in the hospital. And also what her mother told her when she used to ask her about it.
After hearing Yan Shu, Demi mulled over the whole thing she just explained. After taking a deep breath she finally said something, “Ash, what your mother reasoned to convince you, it’s completely falsely made up. And if you think that you are missing some memories of yours you either have these reasons. One, either you suffered from a great trauma causing go through ECT, Electroconvulsive therapy to make you forget your painful memories or either you hit your head somewhere making you lose your memories. Which one is it for you?”
“I am not sure but I am certain I didn’t hit my head anywhere.” After some serious consideration, Yan Shu affirmed.
“Then come to my clinic tomorrow or whenever you have free time but make sure to inform me before you come. I will try to help you to recover your memories as much as I can.” Demi was one of the re-knowed psychiatrist in the Capital. One needs to book an appointment atleast two to three days before to get consulted by her.
“Thanks for the privilege. I will inform you tomorrow..” Her patience was now already at its limit as she couldn’t wait for tomorrow to unfold her memories.
