The Mysterious Superstar : Quick transmigration to CEO - Chapter 50
“Ranran, you made your brother do your homework? Do you know that he used to hate doing homework the most in his school days?” Yin Yulin laughed and gestured Yan Shu to come and have breakfast.
“Is it?” Yan Shu was surprised to hear that . She turned to Su Jiacheng and furrowed her brows.
“Uhm. It was. But doing your homework was no trouble for me.” Su Jiacheng scratched his neck awkwardly.
Yan Shu smiled at him as she found him funny at the moment.
After they were done with breakfast, Su Jiacheng and Yan Shu headed to Su Jiacheng’s study to take her homework copies.
Yan Shu sighed helplessly looking at the stacks of copies as she thought about the long day ahead. Living a life really isn’t as easy as it seems to be. When she woke up again after almost dying, she thought she would live a cheerful and enjoyable life unlike her previous one. Yet, life was still as tiring as before.
“Brother, which one is still not done yet?” She flipped through her every copies confirming that every assigned work was written.
“Just a few algorithm problems are left to solve. By when do you need to submit it? I need two hours at most to finish it.” After giving it a serious thought, Su Jiacheng concluded.
“You can take your time. I just need to pass it over Sheng Chen before the school ends.” Yan Shu nonchalantly replied. She doesn’t even care if she fails anymore.
“You’ve made friends?” Su Jiacheng was curious about it since the day she went to the apartment to meet her friends. He was surprised that she’ve actually started to get along with people. He was happy but jealous too that they get to spend more time with her whenever she goes to school.
“Yeah. They are really good especially Sheng Chen. ” Yan Shu was also surprised of her ownself that she made friends with people who are 10 years younger than her. Nevertheless, as long as anyone treated her kindly she will also treat them the same for example Sheng Chen.
“That’s great to hear. I was worried that you might get bullied.” When he saw Sheng Chen and her group, he thought they were a group of school bullies. Although the boys didn’t look like that but the girls were really dressed as delinquents with one having pierced lips and brow.
Yan Shu laughed.
“Am I that timid in your eyes?” She lifted her eyes almost giving off a threatening gaze.
“No, no. Of course not. My sister is the bravest girl in the whole world.” Su Jiacheng laughed wryly. He didn’t dare to mention the past which made him think like that. He remembered the day back then when Su Mo Jiaran was in elementary school, she was bullied because of her quiet personality and arrogant look on her face. Her classmates thought she had a problem with her attitude as whenever they try to talk with her she would just glare back at them fiercely causing them to think that She was looking down on them. That led to an average looking girl getting annoyed and slapping Su Mo Jiaran. As Su Mo Jiaran was going through PTSD back then and her parent’s death was still fresh in her mind, the slap didn’t cause any expression which only made the bullies angrier. They tore apart her books, wrote trashy words in her uniform and ripped her bag but still got no reaction back.
When Su Mo Jiaran got back home, the Su members were devastated to see her state. Everyone tried to make her speak up of who did that to her but she only stayed silent. She didn’t even utter a word. Feeling worried, Old Master Su and the others didn’t send her to school from the next day onwards.
A week passed by. On a fine evening one day, Su Jiacheng took her out for a walk in the garden behind the mansion in intention to make her say something. He started talking to her indirectly about the incident of that day.
“Brother, I don’t want to talk with them so they did it to make me talk with them. It’s not their fault that I have a poker face. Do I really look scary to you too?” Su Mo Jiaran blinked as her hand on Su Jiacheng’s grip tightened.
“Who said you are scary!? They are the ones who are scary treating you like that. You shouldn’t care about those trashes. You did the right thing by not talking to them. My sister is the prettiest and cutest in the whole universe.” Su Jiacheng sat on his knees as he held his sister in his embrace and clenched his teeth swearing he will never let anyone treat her like that again.
“You are lying, brother.” Su Mo Jiaran didn’t get it why he was talking such nonsense as she just kept her straight face and stood there without moving letting Su Jiacheng hug her tightly. For once, she felt a slight warmth for the first time after her parents passed away.
“That’s true.” Yan Shu has always been a narcissistic. She would always praise herself no matter where she was or whatever she was doing.
Su Jiacheng looked at his sister and was dumbfounded. He wondered since when his sister has become so confident and narcissistic. Nonetheless, anything was better than her being cooped up in the study alone for days and nights.
‘She has finally grown up. Maybe I should let go of her slowly.’ He sighed.
Su Jiacheng felt a slight pain in his heart thinking of how she will grow up to be an adult in the future and won’t need him anymore from one point.
“By the way, why did you stay over at Junyan’s place last night? I would’ve come pick you up if you had called me. I wanted to go actually even if you didn’t inform me but grandpa was firm on letting you sleep over his house. Did he bully you? Brother will avenge you if he did.” He spoke in one breath making him cough after he finished his sentence. Su Jiacheng stomped on his feet as he thought about Si Junyan. Yesterday, he tried so hard to sneak out but Old Master Su had locked him up inside the store room on the fifth floor where there was not even a window to break through. By the time he gave up trying, it was already morning and the door was unlocked from the outside. He really couldn’t believe that his own Grandpa did that to him and even his parents went along with his grandpa’s decision.
“He didn’t even realize that I was gone. Do you really think he can do something to me?” She laughed.
Instantly, she was reminded of Si Junyan. She was certain that the hospital matter might’ve already reached in his ears by now or maybe he was already there to investigate. But there shouldn’t be any clue left to catch her that formed a smirk on her face. With that, she was also reminded of the whole new Lin Wei she had met with in the hospital entrance. She was now completely determined to get to the end of the matters properly from the beginning.
“Brother let’s complete the homework first. Other things can be delayed.” She didn’t want to talk about anything related to Si Junyan now. It’s not actually Si Junyan but Yan Shu herself. She didn’t want to be remembered of her other self. She had to move on and for that the first step was, she had to forget her real self.
“Yeah. Right. You reminded me the most important thing. I will finish off real soon..” He winked at her and then positioned himself properly on the study table and opened the copy.
