- Chapter 93 A Slight Upgrade
He stopped walking and seemed to be struggling internally, not knowing whether tp turn back and try to force them to give a new one, to go and plead to senior to trade it for a new one, or to just simply accept whatever came his way.
After a moment he bit his lip and said in a barely audible voice “I am a spearman, how could I hesitate to do something? It is not the way of the spear! BUT my little disciple is way too scary when she gets mad, even though she is usually a little ice cube. Aish, a master really has to suffer. If she doesn’t like it, worst comes to worst I will force her to do so, even if I end up losing a few fingers.”
There were some disciples that did not go away, but instead were watching from afar, while others used treasures or formations to simply watch, while the elders simply looked from afar, their gaze seemingly able to pierce through space itself.
All of them had grins on their faces and were giving thumbs up towards their disciples for coming up with something so good, while thinking that the tradition of elders (of bullying the younger generation and make them go through who knows what, until they were satisfied) would be preserved and continued hereafter, or perhaps even get better, thinking of such a glorious future, they could not help but shed a few crocodile tears of fake happiness, as they all thought how to make their own disciples go down a notch, in case they revolt.
Liang Chen’s inner struggle seemed to have come to an end, as he rushed into the house and rushed even faster towards the room Liang Meng was staying at.
The moment he was going to open the door, he suddenly stopped, as he felt that his disciple was still busy studying her own gains from her battles.
Even though she had lost, she did not take such a defeat to heart, but instead was glad to have seen such a strong and amazing sword technique, while wondering where and who had created such a technique.
All she could think of even after spending so long to try and understand it, she could only reach a single conclusion. This technique was used against an horrifyingly strong opponent and was created to kill all those that dared to get in the way. She could only imagine the sight of a cultivator standing alone with a sword on hand while surrounded by countless oponents.
She shook her head at such a thought. A sword cultivator could be different from person to person, so what one thought and their fantasies could be different than the ones of the person next to them.
One should not waste time to wonder where such a technique had come from, nor fantasize the situation one had created it on.
Liang Meng did not notice that Liang Chen was outside her door, much less did she notice that he had a strange expression on his face at the moment.
After a few hours of meditating and comprehending all that she could at the moment, and integrate it into her cultivation, she opened her eyes, only to fing Liang Chen sitted right in front of her staring at her.
She immediately attacked with her spear on instinct.
Seeing this Liang Chen regretted for an instant taking such a ferocious ice cube in as his disciple.
He deflected that spear to the side with his hands. Liang Meng stopped any follow up attacks she had prepared after realising who it was.
She nooded at Liang Chen and prepared to walk out of the room.
Seeing this, Liang Chen’s face grew a little black, as he reached his hand to stop her.
She looked at him seemingly puzzled, not understanding what he wanted.
“Here is a pair of gloves for you.”
He threw them at her, and she immediately saw that they seemed to have no shape. She put them on and they actualy disappeared and transformed into her size.
She swung her spear, and realised that it actualy increased her attack speed by 25%, and perhaps it wasn’t fully unsealed.
She saw Liang Chen hesitate about something and she simply reached her hand.
Liang Chen hesitated yet again, but gave up and simply put on her hand an Hair Pin with a white flower engraved on it that seemed to be real.
Liang Meng frowned slightly, which made Liang Chen to reach and take it out of her hand, while thinking how to teach those brats a lesson. But then he saw Liang Meng putting it on her hair, and with her long black hair, that made her seem to possess a strange feeling.
When she put it on, she immediately felt that that hair pin could clear the mind and create a transparent protective barrier around her.
