The Night Rose - Chapter 22
Arwin was happily whistling while following the guild master she completely forgot Timothy for now who were having the worst crisis in his life now.
He had finally found out a genuine mechanic, maybe even an airship captain, but she went and offended his boss child, and Silas was still an essential part of his plan like Arwin was.
So what if Arwin would join the guild now where he would get another mechanic?
He didn’t even realize that Arwin had already left as he was pondering what he should do next.
“So, as I said, you will randomly draw three of the items and two you can choose, but firstly let’s see where your pistol is.” The guild master said while starting to rummage through the records.
“Oh, it’s on a b-shelf on a section, and it’s number is two hundred fifty-five let’s see stay here I will be soon back as this area is restricted only to someone in our guild.
In the meantime, you can look through these records for the two items you want to choose.” The guild master disappeared on the row of shelves after saying that, and Arwin took the records.
She was surprised that the guild master trusted her this much and giving a full record of the items that the guild had in this warehouse.
Arwin’s pirate instincts suddenly were starting to wake up, and she started to scan around the warehouse, trying to locate the security and all of the doors or other possible entrances to the area.
She realized that it was quite a well-secured, but there were still two doors and one window section that was leading to the guild entrance.
After she was done with that, she started to remember the layout of the room and seeing how the shelves were marked and managed while calculating the time from the possible entrances to the shelves and trying to calculate the best way to get into the storage.
She started to read the records seeing which shelf would have most of the valuable things.
But she was surprised that they were equally mixed up in the shelves, but the a to c had weapons, and there were mixed items from d to f.But regardless, she tried to memorize the shelves as best she could, and suddenly she got an idea.
She saw that the roof of the storage actually seemed to have a small hatch or something, but it made the roof structure weaker so if she could have a possibility to set up and explosion or something to cut the roof open and get to that small hatch she could use a rope and climb down.
But suddenly, the guild master came back, and Arwin stopped looking around and started to focus on the records.”I think this should be your pistol.” The guild master said while showing Arwin the pistol he had in his hands.
“Yes, that is it, thank you so much,” Arwin said while smiling and flipping through the records.
“Have you seen anything that is interesting for you, or do you want recommendations?” The guild master asked out, trying to help Arwin out.
“Oh, I actually have decided already, sir.I saw this small toolbox with the basic tools, and then there is this Raven necklace that caught my attention.” Arwin said while showing them from the records to the guild master.
“Oh, that’s a good choice. Let me tell you a little secret. Not many know, but a small spatial space works here when implement by the natives magic, and this toolbox actually has a tiny one as it was one of the experiments.
But we haven’t gotten any better results while so this was thrown out as failed experience.
I don’t know much about the Raven necklace, but it was taken from one of the natives, but we haven’t found anything special about it.” The guild master started to explain out the items Arwin did choose out.
“But before I go get them let’s do the random drawing now.Hmm, let’s do it this way close your eyes, and I will place the record book in front of you, and you will browse it and stop on three times, and the item showed on the page will be the one you will get.” The guild master said that while closing the record book, Arwin closed her eyes and felt the record book in her hands.
She started to browse the book while trying to remember the items she had previously seen, but she had completely lost track of the pages she had browsed, and she just started to stop randomly.
“Okay, we are done now you can open your eyes, and I will get your items.” The guild master said while looking at his notes and disappeared again on the row of shelves.
Arwin used this time again for scanning and planning she could breach in the warehouse and steal something out.
