The Nine Coloured Paragon - Chapter 10
The shifting of earth and cracking of stone was all Jianyu could hear or see, however his thoughts lay in other places.
He wondered about how he could explain his mysterious powers, extensive knowledge and abilities which far surpassed a newborn child to his Mother.
The narrow tunnel allowed for him to walk unimpeded while his Mother crawled behind him gazing at his tiny figure inquisitively yet lovingly.
No matter how odd or heaven-defying he is, her son is the last thing her husband left her.
They kept travelling through the tunnel in silence, hoping to get out from under the city limits so they could resurface without being in any danger.
After hours of tunneling they encountered a slightly more resilient material and Jianyu’s gloomy expression brightened.
Rubbing his hands together he thought to himself, “Jackpot”, before he sent a large wave of God energy towards the strange material before him.

Within a strange stony cave an old man with odd features smiled eerily with his eyes closed.
His wrinkled cheeks peeled back to reveal a set of sharpened yellow teeth.
The Old man sat in a meditative position holding a strange blood red crystal between his hands.
What was odd about the old man’s features was his thin grey hair levitated and swirled around the cave.
A large amount of black filth covered his skinny black robed body and hideous face.
Suddenly the momentum within the cave reached a peak and “Pah” the old mans eyes shot open, dropping the crystal.
He opened his mouth and began to cackle with his head towards the sky, “Ke ke ke- he he he, I have broken through! Broken through my bottleneck ke ke! Now none of those old farts at the Divine Spirit Sect will be able to withstand a single blow from me, The Great Blood Devil Mo Tu! Ke ke ke-“.
“BANG”, a loud bang resounded through the cave causing the ‘Great’ Mo Tu to choke on his own saliva.
“Cough cough- Who dares disturb The Blood Devil Mo Tu’s secluded cultivation!”.
Flicking his sleeve Mo Tu harrumphed coldly at the source of the disturbance spotting a bunch of spiderweb-like cracks spreading through the Spirit Stone reinforced cave walls.
Shortly after the cave regained its silence until a section of the wall collapsed revealing a black tunnel leading to the cave.
A scene that Mo Tu had never seen in all his years of cultivation revealed itself to him.
A two to three year old toddler hopped out of the tunnel butt-naked.
After landing within the cave the child quickly pinched his nose, looking at Mo Tu in disgust before comically pointing his chubby finger at him and nagging, “Stinky old man, would it hurt to take a bath every once in a while?”
“Pfffft”, while Mo Tu was on the verge of insanity, the sound of a woman bursting out in laughter echoed from within the tunnel.
Soon after, Jianyu’s mother stepped into the cave wearing bedraggled clothing and likewise pinching her nose smiling cheerily at the old man.
Seeing Jianyu’s mother, Mo Tu’s dumbfounded expression hardened as he turned to face her, “So it’s Sword Immortal Lin Yun’s wife, Ding Wei, the Black Poison Sect’s Head!”
“Still, you are no match for me after my breakthrough little beauty!” Mo Tu continued smiling, his eyes darting up and down her body with a heated expression.
“Wapah”, out of nowhere Mo Tu’s vision was sent spinning as he clattered onto the stony floor in a heap.
“Oi oi, what gave you the guts to speak to my mother like that stinky pervert!”.
‘What the f*ck?’, the reprimanding voice of a child echoed in his brain, urging him to suicide on the spot.
When had he ever suffered such a loss to a member of the same generation, let alone some breastfed brat?
Sitting up Mo Tu wiped the dribble of blood from the corner of his mouth, residual fear lingering in his eyes towards the child before him.
‘What kind of monster have I provoked?’
A toddler that was capable of making a Divine Core expert bleed was unheard of.
While Mo Tu was at the early stages of the Divine Core realm, even if this brat started cultivating in the womb, what realm could he have achieved?
Body Tempering? Houtian? Xiantian!? Impossible!
Ding Wei covered her mouth with her hand as her fluttering laugh resounded around the cave.
She had not laughed so hard since her husband had passed.
“Good son, filial son. Truly a Tiger father will not birth a dog son!”
Jianyu smiled brightly hearing his mothers encouragement, he turned to see her giving him a big thumbs up before he lay into the old man, sending him pinging from wall to wall of the cave.
Jianyu knew that his Mother had sealed Mo Tu’s cultivation when they were inside the tunnel, however the fool was too distracted by his breakthrough to notice anything.
This meant Mo Tu had no power to resist other than his physical body which was currently Jianyu’s forte.
After some time passed Jianyu dragged the old creep to the centre of the cave. There was small spatial ring on Mo Tu’s finger which contained some dried meats, fresh clothes and a small pile of blood red crystals.
Adorning the gargantuan robes, Jianyu grabbed the blood red crystals before the watchful eyes of his mother and swallowed them down like candies.
He proceeded to sit down once more and circulate his Nine Colours Streaking the Heavens technique.
He was already at the peak of the first stage of body refining and with the blood crystals as an impetus he entered the second stage with a satifying “pah”.
The second type of energy was Devil energy, which was formed from blood essence and hence these blood crystals were ideal to his cultivation.
With Devil energy, he is a master of slaughter and any large scale battlefield would be akin to a large feast.
By consuming other cultivators blood essences one could strengthen both their physical body and Devil energy.
Only devilish cultivators such as Mo Tu would opt to use these evil crystals as they are created through the slaughter of countless mortals, however cultivation itself was something that defied the heavens.
When one treads this path they revoke any morals that they previously had.
After an unknown period of time, Jianyu opened his eyes, finished cultivating only to find his mother sitting facing him in an immaculate white robe draping over her now youthful body.
He sensed a powerful aura originating from his mothers body.
She had obviously spent this time restoring both her physical body and cultivation, regaining her .
“Late Stage Divine Core realm”, he nodded in satisfaction with the air of an expert.
The realms after Body Tempering were Houtian, Xiantian and then Divine Core realm.
Each realm exceeded the last in difficulty by tenfold.
“You owe me an explanation, Lin Hu, my son.”
Jianyu smiled wryly.
“Monster, monster…”, the unconscious murmurs of the bruised and bloody Mo Tu sounded out before his Mother sent a palm through the air silencing the whimpering and broken man.
Jianyu began his explanation…
A bit more lighthearted, although depends on how you look at it :s
Hope you enjoyed!
