The Nine Coloured Paragon - Chapter 12
Entering the Guest Elder residence, Ding Wei toured as Jianyu decided on his room.
“Mother, I’m going into closed door cultivation for the outer disciple test!”, he said childishly.
“I will wait to see your results then.”, she responded before continuing to peruse through the mansion.
Jianyu had very complex feelings towards this mother of his.
While he felt no attachment to her per se, she reminded him of himself in a way.
One who was drowned within the loss of loved ones and self pity hence he had an almost childish urge to protect her.
Shaking his head at such thoughts, he inspected the room around him.
It was a very luxurious abode with refined woods and ancient artefacts decorating the black steel walls.
Jianyu closed the door to the room he had chosen.
As he entered, his previously excited and childish expression regained its indifference.
Withdrawing the sword his ‘father’ left him he began to carve an intricate formation in the wooden floor.
After he finished he stored the sword before placing the remaining blood crystals at the centre of the formation, powering it up.
As the formation activated it glowed with red lights before creating a barrier which hugged the walls, sealing the room from the outside world.
Finally after ensuring none of the ‘experts’ in the sect could see through his formation he let out a light sigh.
This was the moment he had been waiting for.
He grasped the Yin Yang sword once again examining it closely.
‘The quality of energy within this sword is worse than dog sh*t but it will have to do for the minute.’, he thought to himself.
He then placed the tip of the sword on the floor at an angle whilst holding the other end in his hand.
He raised his foot before slamming down on the sword hard.
“Kacha”, the sword snapped revealing a hollow core that oozed black and white goo.
The formation shuddered momentarily from the might of the blow before stabilising.
Jianyu sat down once more picking up the two fragments of the sword and began to suck the energies out of the core.
‘Noooo!’, the voice of the weapon spirit appeared in his mind before it’s pleas faded and the sword lost its previous splendor.
After licking the sword core clean, he tossed the scrap metal aside before running his Nine Colours technique once more.
The white and black energies were emitted through each pore of his body surrounding him with a cocoon of energy.
Within this cocoon his body was undergoing immense changes.
His bones organs and flesh all began to expand, finally stopping when he was roughly five and a half feet tall resembling a fifteen year old boy , however the external features were not the biggest change about his body.
As he guided the Yin and Yang energies to the core of his body he could observe two gold and red cores as well as the faint outlines of two black white cores.
The Yin and Yang energies flowed into the white and black cores respectively condensing and hardening them.
As they condensed his cultivation rocketed forward making consecutive breakthroughs entering the fourth stage of body tempering successfully.
Soon he stopped his cultivation smirking at his success he felt his new body progressing smoothly.
Inspecting the inside of his body once more, he could see the soul fragments residing in their respective cores.
The two new cores had both the Immortal and Demon soul fragments within which controlled the Immortal and Demonic energies, which can be considered a type of Yang and Yin.
“Finally”, he whispered to himself.
He had control of sufficient elements to access his Soul Treasure named the Nine Universe Ring, forged from the cores of nine universes.
Soul Treasures had achieved a realm where they did not require a physical representation, rather they could be bound to ones soul.
How could Jianyu live for countless eons and not possess infinite wealth?
Channeling his four energies, they combined turning his hair and iris’ black, white, red and gold equally.
The room began to quake however the profound formation he laid down completely suppressed this from the outside world.
From within his soul chamber the True Soul inside received a flurry of energy from the body.
In the palm of his hand, a pitch black ring formed before he sent it out into the world from the soul chamber.
Jianyu opened his eyes sliding the ring on his index finger.
Once he did so, he sent the energy from the four cores into the ring, causing it to gain those colours.
His body flickered away from the room, reappearing in the space inside the ring.
The surroundings within were drastically different from the Mortal realms.
An endless area appeared before Jianyu, one he was accustomed to.
There were no skies to speak of or a horizon for that matter, everything was black, except for a large crystal which suspended itself in the air creating light.
The light cast down from this crystal reflecting on the endless mountains of spirit stones, blood crystals and million year old divine herbs below.
Past the mountains there were seven locations, each differing in appearance greatly.
These were holy lands each containing seven of the nine energies required for the Nine Colours Streaking the Heavens cultivation technique Jianyu invented.
These were prepared millions of years ago preemptively just for the scenario in which Jianyu has to refine a new body.
However the two energies which were impossible to harvest in such a way were Positive and Negative Karma.
Even within his soul chamber, he had not condensed Positive and Negative Karmic fragments.
After coming to the Omniverse in which he currently resided he understood that if he remained with his previous body here, the Omniverse would reject it and attempt to destroy it, similar to how the human body would isolate and attempt to destroy an infection.
Of course, at his peak, Jianyu could destroy this Omniverse, however his goal lay in infiltrating it and finding his wife.
To destroy it would mean the end of all life within.
As such, in order to successfully infiltrate the Omniverse he required a body which was in accordance to the natural laws here.
He could then build on that foundation allowing him to restore his previous powers and scan through each living being to find who his wife reincarnated as and rekindle her lost memories.
But there was always a catch.
Once he entered the universe the all Karmic bonds he had developed snapped, breaking the unity of the energies inside his body and in turn placed a restriction on his powers.
This was something he overlooked in the past not expecting such a thing to happen.
He would have to rebuild these karmas in future to progress with the technique.
First he must focus on the resources he had at hand to increase his current pitiful strength.
Jianyu spared no time teleporting directly to the first of the holy lands.
As the true master of this space, he could travel unhindered by common sense.
Similarly, time passed at the speed he wished up to the point where time within the ring passed one hundred times faster than outside meaning for each second passing outside Jianyu could spend over one and a half minutes doing as he liked.
Setting the time as such, in the month and a half before the outer disciple assessment he instead had twelve and a half years.
The first holy land was for God energy and within was a living ancient True God whose body was constantly fed Divine elixirs, causing it to generate copious amounts of dense God energy, ideal for Jianyu’s body.
The gargantuan body of the True God towered fifty kilometers into the black sky, sitting cross legged within a golden swirl.
If one looked closely, the red skinned giant had a blank look in its eyes.
Jianyu had wiped the True Gods mind, turning it into a processing machine for energy.
Coughing up his golden core from within his body he cast it into the swirl of God energy where the tiny golden Jianyu inside the core reacted, swallowing ferociously and in turn refining the core.
Jianyu repeated the process with his remaining three cores casting them into their different holy lands before travelling onto the next type of energy in an attempt to condense the core.
***
Time passed in a similar way and after six months of cultivation within the ring he collected his seven tiny cores stowing them within his body.
The formation he set up would run out of energy within the next few hours outside, which gave him a few more days within the ring.
Jianyu stepped out from the seven holy lands, teleporting into an odd building.
It was constructed from a white marble and there were four strange altars, each with a different object above them.
This was his armoury and the objects resting upon the altars were his remaining Soul treasures.
The first altar he approached had a familiar looking black dagger resting upon it.
These treasures would help greatly in gaining Karmic merit and Karmic iniquity.
In order to condense both soul fragments and cores he required to commit such acts on a large scale, as such after pondering for a long time, Jianyu came up with a plan…
Long chapter, explaining a lot of the elements to Jianyu’s power but certainly not all of them.
Hope you enjoyed.
