The Nine Coloured Paragon - Chapter 13
Jianyu reached out grabbing the cold black dagger.
It had many carvings running down the blade, ones depicting loss, vengeance and hatred.
Within his Soul Chamber, the True Soul drew out a black flame from within its robe.
This was Erebus.
Sending the black flame out from the chamber, it entered the black dagger causing it to glow with black lights.
“Masssster, you awaken your sssservant onccce more.”, a voice sounded from the dagger.
“Mmm, you will be able to revel in the taste of blood in time to come.” Jianyu replied, sheathing Erebus on his waist.
He then travelled to a mechanism in the back of the building, striding by the other three altars.
Standing before the mechanism Jianyu reached into a small hole.
Thinking of the items he wanted he retracted his hand revealing a peculiar red flag.
He accessed the mechanism once more withdrawing a golden formation core and a number of formation flags.
Jianyu then vanished, reappearring on a small plateau upon which he placed the formation and the red flag into Mo Tu’s tiny spatial ring before sitting down.
Within his body, the six of the newly refined cores surrounded a seven coloured one.
This was the key feature of the Nine Colours technique, eight energies becoming one, a final ninth, gaining unity.
In his current state, the missing energies prevent him from gaining minor completion in the technique.
Focusing his mind to the soul chamber, his True Soul was sat in unison with him.
Jianyu withdrew a small cauldron in which he placed a number of divine medicines and spirit stones before executing a secret art.
He drew Erebus, making a small cut in his palm.
Blood dripped into the cauldron before a strange light was emitted from within which shone upon Jianyu’s indifferent eyes as he gazed inside.
His face paled slightly as his vitality was consumed.
Before long a person stood up from within the cauldron.
It was another Jianyu.
It stood motionlessly with a blank look in its eyes before Jianyu moved it aside.
He then repeated the process within the cauldron creating another clone.
Breathing with some difficulty his face grew a few shades paler before his expression steeled.
This was the most crucial part of the process.
Within his soul chamber the True Soul wore a deep frown.
Channeling the cloning secret art, strands of soul energy separated forming the faint outline of a soul fragment.
Before long the soul fragment gained some clarity, resembling Jianyu, it was sent into one of the clones bodies.
Jianyu’s soul suffered some injuries before it began to refine the second soul fragment, which finished shortly after.
The two clones stared at Jianyu who consumed a divine herb called the Twin Root Soul Herb which caused his face to regain some colour.
Opening his eyes, from looking at his clones Jianyu realised how much he had grown since the possession of this body.
As a result of the constant refining of energies, his body had gained a perfect outline.
To say he was a lady killer would be an underestimation.
Putting thoughts such as these at the back of his mind he explained to each of the clones his intentions.
This was the method he would use to gather both Karmic energies simultaneously.
Slaughter the Blood Devil sect!
He handed one clone Erebus while the other took the strange red flag.
The one holding Erebus had a magnanimous aura meanwhile the other smiled evilly holding the red flag.
As an evil sect, the atrocities committed by its members were not few in number.
Whether it was the relentless slaughter of innocents to cultivate devilish techniques or their descent into depravity, killing anyone of them is considered a Karmic Merit.
However this was just one of the energies Jianyu required, right?
This was where the red flag came in.
It was a treasure used to torture ones soul!
After they are slaughtered by the Saintly clone with Erebus, their souls will be sucked into the flag where they would experience unimaginable pain, turning them into evil spirits fuelled by the persons hopes dreams and regrets.
The Karmic iniquity gathered by the clone will be immeasurable.
Jianyu and the two clones exited the Nine Universe Ring appearing within Jianyu’s room.
A light frown appeared on Jianyu’s face.
He couldn’t detect Ding Wei.
Spreading his seven energies across the Sect, deep within the volcanic mountain he discovered an unsettling scene.
The Ancestor of the Blood Devil sect towered over the bloodied bodies of abused female cultivators, treating them as playthings.
He used them as furnaces for his cultivation and Ding Wei was no different, the Ancestor sucked the vital energy from within her body lasciviously.
Within the room, Jianyu felt a killing intent burst out from deep within his soul.
“Damn it!”, Jianyu said in frustration. He wanted to kill this Ancestor figure for crossing him, Ding Wei was supposed to be under his protection.
To cross him, the Paragon, was an unforgivable sin.
“Ji ji ji, hessssss backk, the God of Ssslaughter hasss reawakened.”, Erebus’ raspy voice giggled observing his master with a heated expression.
The clones lowered their heads not daring to meet his gaze, the cold aura expelled from Jianyu’s body made them shiver.
Over trillions of years the lives Jianyu used to pave the path to the pinnacle of cultivation were innumerable.
The killing aura he gained was enough to corrupt any holy body with a whiff of it, which is the reason a treasure as powerful and evil as Erebus submitted to him.
In his former body, Jianyu used his energies to suppress this deadly amalgamation but now with his new body, it merely needed a spark to become a blazing inferno.
Jianyu’s mind was sent into chaos, if he was a normal cultivator, he would have instantly gone insane.
Barely keeping a leash on the boundless killing intent, blue veins popping on his forehead he shot up through the roof of the Guest Elder building.
The formation core and flags appeared in his hands, he sent them out, completely surrounding the giant mountain sealing the sect from the outside world.
He flew high above the sect peering down at the million or so disciples as if they were ants.
Jianyu was not actually able to fly, however his killing intent was so thick it was able to carry him.
A bloody mist leaked out from within his body as his eyes flickered between pure red and bloodshot.
His teeth creaked as he gritted them, while his fingernails dug into his palms.
He barely managed to keep a hold of his sanity.
Jianyu waved his hand spreading this bloody mist across the mountain.
It rained on the disciples below weighing down on them like Mount Tai, they found their bodies completely debilitated as they slumped to the ground helplessly, some of the weaker disciples instantly exploded.
It was no different for any of the Divine Core Elders, who fell tragically, the freezing hand of death gripping their throats.
Jianyu signalled to his two terrified clones to begin the slaughter.
Erebus flickered in the hand of the Saintly clone, black lines appearing across the wicked disciples necks, cleaving their heads from their bodies.
Within the rivers of blood that followed, the latter clone held the flag high.
As it sucked the souls of disciples inside, faces filled with pain and regret appeared lingering around the flag.
Time passed by as a white saintly aura surrounded one of the clones as he unrelentingly massacred the Blood Devil sect Elders and disciples alike.
Similarly, the other clone gathered a black aura similar to Erebus’, pain and agony filled spirits appearing on the flag in the tens of thousands.
The black aura was akin to a stain which the Omniverse places on grave sinners, similarly the white aura was a blessing.
Each energy had their own benefits and drawbacks creating a balance.
The reason why Jianyu had to go about the roundabout way of creating clones to do the deed was to keep these two energies completely separate.
The Omniverse is all seeing and can hence understand and relate that Jianyu was the cause of both the slaughter of evil people and also the relentless torture of souls, resulting in energy from both happenings travelling to his body.
In turn these energies cancelled each other out, while the clones retained their own portion of the aura creating the perfect system.
Jianyu hovered in the air, his pupils looked like pinpoints as he gazed at an old man below him.
A weak voice called up at him, “W-which S-senior is it..?”.
Thank you for reading, the slaughter will be continued in the next chapter!
