The Nine Coloured Paragon - Chapter 14
Moments prior to these events…
Ancestor Mo Yi was the only Nascent Soul Grandmaster of the Blood Devil sect.
He lived in seclusion, deep underneath the world’s surface, harvesting the energies from others to further progress in the sect’s finest technique.
The Devil Slaughter Formula.
Mo Yi had received a gift from his nephew Mo Tu a few days ago.
The former Black Poison sect’s head, Ding Wei and he was currently enjoying her thoroughly.
A late stage Divine Core expert was the catalyst he needed to breakthrough to the next stage of the Nascent realm.
Not only that but she was quite a beauty in her own right, although second hand he explored her body joyfully avoiding her eyes which wished only for death.
As he was reaching a crescendo, he felt the entire mountain quiver as he was pinned to the ground by a horrendous energy.
A cold sweat akin to ants nibbling on his skin crawled down his back.
He struggled to stand, his old bones let out creaking noises as he waded through the piles of dead and dying.
He began to ascend from his cave, exiting through a steep passageway.
At first he could walk, then his walk became a crawl and as he reached the mouth of the cave he had to claw his way out.
Sweat drenched his body giving him a dishevelled look as he peered into the ruddy skies.
Spotting a figure flying over the destruction of a thousand years of hard work his bottom lip quivered mercilessly.
Mustering the courage to speak the words caught in his throat as the man in the skies glared at him.
As if being thrown into a pool of ice, his body shivered at that gaze, “W-which S-senior is it?”.
As the man neared he became clearer and clearer revealing a fifteen year old boy, but his aura became more and more condensed crushing down on Mo Yi.
“Aah”, Mo Yi let out a groan of pain as he heard the snap of bones within his body, yet didn’t dare complain about his miserable state.
Since the situation called for it, Mo Yi grovelled before Jianyu, “O, magnanimous elder how did my Blood Devil sect provoke you?”
Snorting coldly Jianyu delivered a swift kick to Mo Yi’s teeth sending him backflipping back down to the cave, blood swirling from his face, the old man landed bloodied and broken in the cave.
“Mercy! Mercy please!”, Mo Yi begged seeing the boy, akin to a God of Death descend towards him.
“You beg for mercy yet did any of these poor souls receive it from you?”, Jianyu said as he gestured to the dead and dying women within the cave.
“I… “, Mo Yi was unable to respond.
“You asked what you did to provoke me, but do I need a reason to kill an animal like you?”, Jianyu said raising a hand.
The blood mist condensed into a thick liquid in his palm before that liquid swiftly turned into a strange insect.
“It’s degenerates like you who put a stain on the Devil arts reputation, preying on those weaker than you to further your own pitiful strength.”
As Jianyu spoke the blood mist surrounding him swirled forming a swarm of the blood insects.
These insects were dubbed ‘Flesh Fiends’, for obvious reasons.
Jianyu raised his finger at the old man, “Die.”, the swarm of Flesh Fiends dived forward burrowing into Mo Yi’s skin, swiftly revealing pearl white bones beneath.
White foam formed at Mo Yi’s mouth as his eyes rolled back, blood curdling groans sounded from his body as he was devoured inside out.
Shortly after a white aura developed around Jianyu, killing Mo Yi was a great merit.
“Damn”, Jianyu whispered to himself within the dark cave.
He needed to counter balance this act.
Suddenly his eyes landed on the desecrated corpse of Ding Wei which lay beneath an aggrieved black soul exiting her body at the end of the cave and a thought hit him
Under the influence of the insatiable killing intent, he gazed evilly at Mo Yi’s skeleton before him.
Cutting his hand, his blood dripped onto it’s skull forming a pattern, with the other hand he reached out towards Ding Wei’s aggrieved soul.
Jianyu then drew all killing intent outside of his body deep into the cave and split the ocean of blood into two halves.
One returned to his body, the other swirled around Ding Wei’s soul reinforcing it and turning it into a mindless servant which sought the death of the living.
Soon the black soul was dyed red and the killing intent was entirely consumed, seeing this Jianyu waved his hand guiding the soul into the formation on the skull.
As it entered, Mo Yi’s skeleton shook as the broken bones from when he was alive reattached themselves healing entirely.
The skeleton rose, a black magic surrounding it and enabling it to move.
It knelt before Jianyu while the white aura dissipated from his body, returning it to a neutral state.
Reaching into the Nine Universe ring, Jianyu withdrew a set of black steel armour tailored to a giant, alongside a two meter long greatsword.
The gargantuan set of armour barely fit inside the cave standing at almost three meters.
Jianyu looked at the kneeling skeleton before him and tapped the formation on its skull lightly.
Suddenly the black magic around its bleak white bones became erratic condensing inside the skeletons marrow turning the white bones black.
Alongside this process the bones grew at an astonishing pace, soon fitting the armour to a tee.
The black armour flew onto the skeleton piece by piece, being drowned by the black magic as it became one entity with the creature.
“Rise, Dread Knight, servant of Death”, Jianyu said authoritatively, secretly pleased with this result.
With the completion of this process, he gained a powerful protector and also put a leash on his killing intent.
It obediently rose before Jianyu, bending slightly in the cave to do so.
The Dread Knight entered his Nine Universe Ring while he placed a few seals on his killing intent before exiting the cave.
Upon exiting, he first noticed the now white and black clones.
The millions of tiny faces upon the red flag created a horrific sight.
Jianyu spread out his seven energies into the clones bodies who didn’t dare to resist.
Giving them a quick scan a satisfied expression appeared upon his face.
They had both formed a Saint core and Tyrant core, the names given to Karmic energies.
Withdrawing the treasures from their hands and sending them back into his Nine Universe ring, Jianyu sat in the lotus position facing his two clones.
They had wry smiles on their faces as a sucking force came from Jianyu’s chest, causing the clones bodies to explode, their souls entering the cores which joined the other seven within Jianyu creating a perfect formation.
There are eight energies surrounding a final central ninth.
These energies are God, Devil, Immortal, Demon, Life, Death, Saint and Tyrant surrounding a tiny pebble like core.
Each energy interacted differently however somehow they formed a perfect unity each reinforcing and strengthening the next.
Good and evil forming a perfect harmony.
Jianyu was completely ecstatic.
Despite having complete control over these energies in his previous body, he could never make them interact, which was why he invented this Nine Colours Streaking the Heavens technique.
A tear streamed down his smiling face as he comprehended the profound laws of each energy.
Channeling the cores into his technique each energy was sent towards the tiny central pebble-like core.
“BANG!”
The volcanic mountain was wiped flat.
However that wasn’t the end of it.
A nine coloured energy shot out from within Jianyu’s body slowly spreading out.
This was an energy never seen before, one that made even the omnipotent Omniverse quiver in fear.
Inside Jianyu’s body each core and spirit were sucked dry, completely assimilating with the central pebble.
As the core in the middle grew larger, a swirl of nine colours surrounded his body slowly rotating, speeding up as time went on.
Swirl after swirl surrounded him on the now flat and desolate plains.
Soon the eight cores had shrivelled entirely as nine became one, a large nine coloured core sat in Jianyu’s chest.
Jianyu released a heavy breath.
Now came the most testing and truly unique part of the technique.
If this failed, he would truly die in both body and soul, however if he succeeded he would ascend to another level of being entirely.
All his practice, thoughts, emotions.
All for this moment.
The nine coloured core began to spin within his chest.
The nine coloured spirit inside exited, entering his soul chamber where it faced his true soul.
An endless energy seeped out from the nine coloured soul fragment, seeming to be one with the world around it towards the true soul.
His true soul sat, unmoving and indifferent towards the energy allowing it to seep into his body.
Seeing this the fragment smiled, “It’s suprising someone from such a place could comprehend this much, however this is where it ends, you cannot truly control such a powerful energy.”
Jianyu’s true soul had a difficult expression on its face but soon it became placid, as if listening to a lecture from a teacher and gaining understanding.
Time passed and slowly the smile on the fragments face receded, its expression slowly darkening.
“Why hasn’t he died yet? Could it be he has truly achieved the Nine Essences Realm? Impossible… impossible!”, the fragment spoke to itself as it rambled on and on in desperation.
In the outside world, the disappearance of the fifty kilometers around the Blood Devil sect did not go unnoticed.
The experts of the Zhejiang royal family and Divine Spirit sect funneled out upon receiving such reports only to find this spectacle.
A fifteen year old youth sat at the centre of an energy bubble in meditation, him being the obvious cause, they didn’t dare disturb him, staying a safe distance away.
A sudden change happened while they were observing the youth.
The energy surrounding him dissipated.
His eyes then opened.
As the experts held their breaths in trepidation, the youth smiled, a nine coloured tear streaking down his face.
Dripping off his chin it landed on the ground between his legs.
“Bang!”, a loud explosion made the surrounding cultivators jump out of their skin.
A cloud of dust kicked up and as it settled, only a Black ring remained in a heap of blood and cloth fragments…
An extra long chapter.
