The Nine Coloured Paragon - Chapter 17
Disregarding the man named King Leonard I, Jianyu’s eyes darted around the battlefield for Xiaoling.
Waving a hand the Nine Laws burst out from his body completely freezing the battle or rather, the one sided slaughter.
The last member of the Sisterhood stood among the grizzly desecrated corpses of her sisters, kneeling alongside Maria Rubio’s mutilated carcass, the tears of blood froze on her cheek as the passage of time stopped completely.
Similar to the Christian story of Moses, Jianyu parted the red sea of blood to see a manor below.
Jianyu had feared the worst, but now he spotted Xiaoling’s panic stricken expression through the window of the manor and relaxed slightly.
Turning to Leonard he spoke in a cutting tone.
“Are these your men?”, Jianyu’s eyes were so cold Leonard felt he was wrapped in a sheet of ice.
Originally the plan was for him to meet Jianyu while Trojius rescued Princess Rose, but now the two missions seemed to intertwine causing Leonard to be confused.
Not only that but despite him being the weaker man, he was still a King and showed a great amount of respect towards Jianyu only to get ignored by him.
This left Leonard feeling quite stifled, even angry, but what acted as a deterrent was Jianyu pausing the battle of a million Gods with the wave of a hand.
This action was far beyond his realm of comprehension.
“Yes, so what if they are, they are under my orders to wipe out this treasonous Sisterhood.”, King Leonard announced with confidence.
Jianyu’s face darkened further, “To attack this Sisterhood is a personal attack on me, do you understand?”
King Leonard was startled not expecting Jianyu to protect a pack of brigands.
Clearly the monster before him was set on standing against him for no apparent reason.
King Leonard’s wavering expression steeled as if deciding on something.
‘I was truly a fool to send Rose to this beast.’, he thought to himself.
“If you are set on opposing me, I don’t mind stretching these old bones.”, King Leonard said dead set on protecting his daughter, an imposing aura breaking out from behind the brocade robes he adorned.
Seeing the middle aged man provoking him Jianyu felt quite odd.
The Saint and Tyrant laws were giving him a sense of dancing on another’s palm.
At that moment he noticed a faint thread of karma connecting him to an elderly man dressed in a Generals armour cackling loudly over the slaughter.
Noticing this Jianyu thought through the myriad of happenings since he arrived in this Omniverse but couldn’t think of how he was connected to the man.
The foreboding sense Jianyu had was getting stronger and stronger until he was pulled back from his thoughts by an immense fist flying towards him.
“BOOM”, the unprepared Jianyu was sent flying across space like a shooting star.
“Hehe, I may be weaker than you, but I am by no means weak!”, Leonard shouted while flexing his stiff shoulder and cracking his neck.
“Come and play with me Jianyu!”, Leonard shot forth towards the man flying across the stars.
Still taken by surprise by the sudden attack, Jianyu’s momentary lapse of concentration allowed the million Gods to finish off the Sisterhood, charging forth to the manor where Xiaoling was.
Realising this, Jianyu’s eyes became bloodshot.
That terrifying aura he had sealed was awakened once more.
The God of Slaughter was returning.
“Pah” the seal was smashed apart as Jianyu was knocked flying by Leonard once more.
In Jianyu’s rage, he failed to notice the archaic symbols evaporate from his body, turning into a colossal nine coloured energy, enhancing his aura.
King Leonard’s expression twisted, this was the third time he felt this energy, and this time it was the most dreadful.
Still he flew forth under the thought of securing his daughters safety, smashing down hard on Jianyu’s chest.
The killing intent that was buried deep in Jianyu’s soul seeped out, curdling around the nine coloured energy, the Omniverse itself was shivering under the influence of this aura.
Jianyu’s body halted in space as he glared at the man before him.
He faced off with the middle aged man, the previous punches from Leonard caused the robes covering his upper body to burst apart revealing a robust frame as his long hair unfurled.
Floating in space he was akin to an ancient God of slaughter.
Observing Jianyu’s raging momentum, King Leonard knew there was no turning back… it was time to get serious.
A golden energy burst out of King Leonards body as his skin turned to a rich gold colour, rivalling Jianyu’s energy in space, these two tidal waves of power fought back and forth as the two men readied themselves.
“If you can take one move, you will earn my respect.”, Jianyu said gazing at Leonard.
Leonard knew this was not confidence or arrogance but it would be truly difficult for him to survive one blow.
Opening his robes a golden armour developed from underneath alongside a long golden greatsword which he grasped in his two his hands.
His body began to expand rapidly growing to fifty thousand meters, the giant Godking stood before his greatest opponent yet.
Jianyu’s eyes revealed a hint of respect, but in the end all things would die.
King Leonard’s billion years of cultivation had amounted to this moment, this one blow.
“Come, meet your maker!”, Leonard roared, brandishing the giant greatsword in his hands.
The energies reached a crescendo as both figures shot forth, Jianyu appearing as an ant before the titanic Leonard however the energies were the exact opposite, Leonards golden energy was akin to a flickering candle in a hurricane, any moment could be its last.
The fiery gaze in Leonards eyes was ignited, the billion year protector of this Omniverse shot forth towards inevitable death, a smile adorning his face.
“BOOOOM!”
The Omniverse quaked.
Each living being on every planet in every universe felt the earth shatter and the heavens shake.
The Godking Leonard was sent flying his golden energy shattered, his fifty thousand meter body picked up speed crashing into a nearby planet similar to a meteor.
His golden armour and greatsword had been reduced to dust, the giant hands which grasped it were nowhere to be found and a fist imprint five thousand meters large was engraved deeply in his caved-in chest.
Leonard sat slumped in the crater on the planet, golden blood forming a river as it flowed from his mouth onto the scorched plains.
He was dead.
Jianyu rubbed his wrists, the shock from the clash jarred his body slightly.
His killing intent was unquenched as he raced back to the manor, this time many times faster than previously.
He arrived in mere seconds only to see Xiaoling crawling back in terror from that elderly General Jianyu had spotted earlier.
‘My instinct was correct, luckily I made it back in time.’, Jianyu thought, raising his hand the million Gods froze in their places and the Manor shot towards him.
Entering through the window, Jianyu looked at the elderly General who was knocked onto his ass as he picked up Xiaoling, she hugged him, hiding her head in his embrace, she weeped silently.
“It was him!”, she cried, “They all died under his hand, he killed Aunt Maria, all my sisters.. all dead.”
Xiaoling was immersed in despair.
Jianyu stroked her fine, long green hair like he did when she was small, “Everything is alright, father is here.”, he whispered softly.
Her small shivering body calmed slightly, still she weeped for those who fought to protect her.
Turning his loving gaze from his daughter, his gaze transformed becoming similar to gazing into the abyss.
The elderly General, Trojius nearly pissed his pants meeting Jianyu’s eyes.
‘How could this be, Leonard was supposed to be greeting him, could he have…? Impossible!’, Trojius thought, the fear in his eyes multiplied as he came to the conclusion Leonard was dead.
“Ha ha,” Jianyu laughed through his gritted teeth, “I really need to pay you back for all these great deeds.”
Jianyu revealed a red crystal from within the Nine Universe ring which sucked Trojius in whole.
Carrying Xiaoling in one hand he burst through the manor flying high above the battlefield.
Observing the Sisterhoods tragic deaths he looked to the million Gods who all shuddered under his gaze.
Of the nine archaic symbols, Life and Death flew out abruptly, as did Saint and Tyrant while the remaining five focused on suppressing the Gods entirely.
Jianyu made sure to hold Xiaoling tightly, not allowing her to hear or see anything.
The lives of the million Gods were reaped mercilessly as the Death symbol grew larger and larger alongside the Tyrant symbol until eventually they came to a stop.
The lifeless bodies turned to ash as suddenly the Life symbol began devouring the energy from Death.
It grew larger while death grew smaller, until finally the Life symbol released a green light.
The beheaded, mutilated and desecrated bodies of the Sisterhood were born anew reforming under that green energy.
The Omniverse reluctantly sent back their souls from the reincarnation cycle as each sister was resurrected.
Soon Maria Rubio and the Soft Slaughter Sisterhood had returned from the afterlife unscathed.
There was no sign of the first or second armies, nor Trojius or Leonard.
The sisters were disorientated entirely muttering incoherently about the seven hells and a woman called Granny Meng.
They returned to the manor under the excited gaze of Xiaoling.
“Thank you Father, thank you.”, she weeped, this time from joy.
Jianyu smiled, for the first time in a long time.
Today would go down in the annals of history, whether he would be a Saint or a Tyrant, who knew?
As for Jianyu, he didn’t care, this was merely a start on the long road ahead of them.
But for some reason, although he had wiped out all his enemies at the roots, that same sense of foreboding was ever-present, as if he was merely a puppet on strings, this sense originated from the laws, they whispered to him, warning him.
***
At the centre of the Omniverse a wrinkled black robed elder who looked as if he had one foot in the grave smiled evilly.
Strange black scales covered his body in patches and a pair of horns protruded from his bald head.
His set of yellow pointed teeth were highlighted by the blinding brightness of the Well of Laws.
This was the Omniverses conscience resided, alongside the laws it controlled.
The bag of skin and bones cackled lightly as he stared into the well.
“It is time keke, my Long clan finally has a genius worth nurturing kekeke.”
Within the well was an image of Jianyu and Xiaoling.
Suddenly the old man shuddered slightly and watched as three lights streaked out from within the well.
The old man coughed up a black mouthful of blood as he was sent away from the well.
“The Omniverse has bestowed its laws upon another of its own will? This… I must report to the clan head!”, the old man screeched as he opened a portal stepping through.
In the moment the portal opened a divine light shook the core of the Omniverse, as if it were a higher plane than itself.
The three lights shot across the Omniverse heading towards a desolate planet.
Scorched earth covered the surface, as if it were just recently destroyed.
Within a gargantuan crater, a titanic golden frame lay in a lake of golden blood.
The three lights shot into its body, resulting in a series of spasms coming from the corpse.
It stopped and remained motionless for a time until suddenly the lake of golden blood began to disappear until it vanished.
The titans eye flickered open revealing a three coloured iris.
It’s roar shook the heavens.
The plot thickens, or does it?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Another super long chapter!
