The Nine Coloured Paragon - Chapter 9
Adjusting his mind, Jianyu sensed the surrounding energies floating through the air.
There was more than one reason this was the most suitable body, the main one being its proximity to untapped spirit vein’s!
Spirit veins were equivalent to rivers of high quality energy underground and undetectable to mortal beings.
This energy provides the sustenance cultivators require to temper their body, mind and soul.
His elated expression became more and more ecstatic as he realised the density of spiritual energy within the dungeon.
Resisting the urge to laugh uproariously he channeled the best cultivation technique he ever created.
‘Nine Colours Streaking the Heavens!’
This was the accumulation of countless years of experience and insights into the path of cultivation.
A sucking force developed at his core, functioning similar to a black hole spiritual energy was pulled unrelentingly into his infantile body.
Preventing his tiny body from exploding, the tidal wave of energy was refined by his body, reinforcing his undeveloped muscles and bones, seeping into his organs and cleansing impurities.
Soon a golden haze formed around him.
His soft muscles gained a more sturdy feel as they visibly grew along with his overall physique.
“Pah”, he broke through the first bottleneck effortlessly, entering the first stage of the body tempering realm.
This golden haze was unique to the Nine Colours Streaking the Heavens technique.
There are nine stages to each realm in cultivation and body tempering was no different, between each stage there would be a bottleneck during which one must spend countless hours wearing it down and comprehending the next stage of cultivation.
Each stage has a significant strength gap between the last.
Average cultivators using normal cultivation techniques refine the normal spiritual energy in the surrounding space for a few months before breaking through to the first stage.
Both Jianyu and his infallible technique were far from average.
With Jianyu’s own Nine Coloured technique, in each stage he refines a different type of energy, this in total means that he refines nine different energies in each realm.
The energy he was currently refining was God energy, an energy which is developed from the Metal and Earth elements giving a martial practitioner who is blessed with this energy unparalleled physical strength and endurance.
Another benefit was being able to control the elements in the world around you, as such with God energy, all things formed from the Metal and Earth elements would bend to Jianyu’s will.
After Jianyu entered the first stage of body tempering, he continued refining the God energy adding to his strength.
Half an hour later…
Muffled cracking and popping noises sounded from Jianyu’s body.
His bones elongated, black hairs proliferated from his bare scalp and muscles thickened causing Jianyu to look like a two to three year old child.
He stood up from his meditative position, awakened by the sound of a young girl speaking to him, he smiled as he listened.
“Today a nice auntie came and picked me up after you left. We rode a big red bird through the clouds to a magical palace where I got my own room! I have lots of nice big sisters to play with. Auntie said soon she would start teaching me how to be big and strong like you Father! I’m going to eat now, so I will talk with you soon!”
The transmission ended.
Jianyu had a satisfied expression however, not even he realised how tightly his tiny fists were clenched, the flame in his heart was once more stoked.
He should be able to see his daughter grow with his own eyes.
Opening his eyes and breathing out a breath of turbid air he scanned the darkened surroundings.
Channeling his Nine Colours technique a golden light radiated from his youthful skin allowing him to finally observe his surroundings within the cell.
His eyes widened as he saw the dried blood on the cobbled floor which lay before an unconscious woman in chains.
“Mother”, he called rushing to her side.
Checking her pulse, he relaxed slightly.
She was still alive, however her body was in dire straits.
He placed his childish palm over her dantian at the core of her abdomen and began channeling God energy, providing sustenance to her shriveled body.
Akin to drought stricken land receiving rainfall, his mothers condition quickly stabilised as her face regained some colour and her youthful features became more apparent.
Time passed as Jianyu exhausted himself entirely.
He slumped sluggishly beside his mother, nestling in her comparatively large arms his mental fatigue got the better of him as he descended into a peaceful slumber.
He awoke to the whisper of a familiar voice, “Hu’er, wake up.”
Jianyu realised that this was the name given to him in this body.
“Mother, what’s wrong”, he inquired.
The woman suppressed her endless questions about her peculiar son, steeling her gaze in a certain direction.
“A guard is coming, if he discovers I have given birth he will take you away from me”, she replied anxiously searching for a solution.
Jianyu turned to see the blindingly bright torch in the distant darkness.
He jolted up from his mothers embrace, swiftly placing his hands on his mothers confinements he whispered, “Break.”
As if the chains received a deities commandment, they shattered to pieces.
Bewildered his mother rubbed her swollen wrists and ankles as he moved towards the stone brick wall that confined them.
Spreading his palms against the cold surface once more, without needing to say anything the bricks crumbled, revealing compacted earth and stone behind.
A swirl of golden energy formed at his fingers resembling a golden drill it tore the earth asunder noiselessly opening a tunnel large enough for him to stand and his mother to crawl.
Jianyu lowered his hands as the golden drill continued to chew through the earth, turning his attention to the nearing flame.
He hastily took his mothers hand guiding her into the tunnel before resealing the entrance.
Before long, a man with a long nose and a pockmarked face held his torch to the iron bars before him, squinting into the cell as if unable to believe his eyes.
“I- Impossible!”, he fumbled the keys in his hand before opening the iron door only to see a barren cell.
The now deathly pale guard swivelled and sprinted to report his findings, the most dangerous person in the Zhejiang country had escaped her confinements!
This spelled disaster!
