The Nine Lords Of Order - Chapter 25

Several meters underground there was a large hollow area, only the light from the outside lightning bolts would barely illuminate the rocks below. While Mars and Ena were searching for a suitable place they coincidentally found this area. Noticing it was hidden from plain sight but still had contact with the outside lightning bolts, they decided to chose this place to train the ‘overcharge’ technique.

After carefully scouting the underground cave for a while, Mars made sure there were no other creatures hiding within the darkness.

“Ena, although your strength has increased a lot in the last couple of days, you can’t directly absorb the red lightning yet. So we’ll practice the technique together. I will take each lightning strike but will conduct a fraction of its energy to you, that way you will be able to safely practice the technique as well.” Mars thought for a bit before suggesting this idea.

“Alright!” Ena’s power level was already close to 200, but it was still far from being enough to deal with the red lightning. So she immediately agreed with Mars’ suggestion.

Mars moved to open spot where lightning could fall and sat along with Ena. He proceeded to summon his own path gem and performed a couple of hand gestures. Bright blue light began to shine from his chest and soon several red lightning bolts headed in his direction.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

This time he did not use the lightning to strengthen his body, neither did he attempt to absorb the energy into his own path gem. What he did was to forcefully circulate the red lightning energy through body in a mysterious pattern.

Since he had not purified the energy, the red lightning quickly started injuring his body. However, in every place where the red lightning passed, his own energy would be pushed around. After a couple of minutes, all the energy was pushed into his right arm.

After noticing he couldn’t push his energy any further, Mars decided to summon more lightning strikes. After a loud boom he felt his body go slightly stiff and proceeded to circulate the highly condensed red lightning energy through his body until his own energy in his right arm was further compressed into his wrist.

After fifteen minutes, a blue liquid drop had appeared on his wrist. This drop was ten times smaller than a human teeth and shined with blue light. All the energy which was available for circulation within Mars body was condensed within this single drop.

This wasn’t Mars whole energy though. Most of his energy was stored within his own path gem. There was only so much energy which could circulate within his own body at any given time.

After Mars saw this drop, he immediately send a portion of the red lightning energy to Ena and forced all the extra energy to dissipate in air. After this process was completed he unleashed more energy from his path gem and proceeded to fill his own body with his own energy once again. Now that this step was completed he could condense the energy circulating through his body into his wrist once again and form another drop.

‘This will be far harder than I thought, it might not take us just several hours to complete it as I initially thought, maybe it will take us several days’ He already felt his body aching all over, but he knew to crystalize his power within his wrist he actually needed to repeat this process several tens of times Maybe even hundreds!

He could also see a frown on Ena’s pretty face. ‘I hope she can hold all the way until the end’

Taking a deep breath Mars went ahead and summoned more lightning strikes.

Somewhere within the Northern Territories there was a huge forest.

This forest was modest, misty, and lush. Its canopy was reigned by oak and the occasional beam of light that made its way through the canopy allowed for an overabundance of sprouts to make use of the insect riddled soils below.

Silent vines embraced every tree, and a range of flowers, which grew dispersed and sparingly, looked almost out of place in the otherwise dark green scenery. A cacophony of animal sounds, which were caused by foraging beasts, brightened up the forest, and were accompanied by the swaying of tree tops in the wind.

Suddenly several tens of figures dashed through the forest, destroying the beautiful and peaceful scenery.

“Search for him! The guards at the gate said they saw him leaving the city just a few minutes ago. He can’t escape from us this time!” A tall man clad in black armor yelled at his subordinates.

However before they could separate and search they heard a voice coming from all directions.

“Escape? Me? You misunderstand gentlemen. It just happens I never bothered dealing with you. You thought me ignoring you was me escaping? You don’t even know who you’re dealing with!”

The tall man in black was shocked by the sudden voice, he gave a quick signal with his hand and all his subordinates unleashed their auras. Surprisingly, all these people were rank 5 and above!

“Brat! You’re just a thief! Don’t get arrogant all of the sudden! Since you offended the Northern Empire, there is nothing you can do to survive!” The black armored man yelled. The youth he was chasing somehow managed to steal a precious treasure which was going be a gift for the Northern Emperor.

Enraged, the Northern Emperor gave orders for his immediate capture. However a few months had gone by and they still couldn’t catch him.

Suddenly a handsome youth with black hair and calm silver eyes silently appeared before them. However there was something weird about his aura it was twisted and it was impossible to guess how strong he was. Furthermore, he looked young but at the same time ancient, as he had lived countless years.

The youth calmly smiled and said, “A thief? I rightfully took back what belongs to me.” Shaking his head the youth started walking towards his pursuers.

A fierce gleam flashed within the black armored man’s eyes. He pointed his sword towards the youth and ordered, “Capture him!”

As soon as his words rang out, tens of rank 5 black armored knights unsheathed their weapons and dashed towards the youth.

Watching them come the youth could only shake his head in disappointment.

“My name is Ludokai, dead men should know who killed them” Sighing the youth just kept walking.

However once they were 15 meters away from each other, the black knights suddenly started moving slower and slower Once they were 10 meters away from each other, the black knights all moved at a snail pace. Once they were 5 meters away from each other, they moved so slow that it would take them several hours to touch the youth.

However none of the black knights seemed to notice this strange phenomenon They were all screaming and unleashing their strongest abilities.

The tall man in black armor remained behind so he wasn’t affected by the strange phenomenon, however he could still see the shocking sight before him. His body was already shaking and his mind was reeling in shock. He had never seen something similar before. It was as if everything close to that youth would start moving in slow motion.

Ludokai calmly walked towards his enemies and slowly tapped their forehead with the tip of his finger. Once he did that, the black knights’ armor would quickly start to deteriorate, as if it had gone through several hundred years. Soon the armor began to disintegrate, what lay underneath the armor was just a yellowish skull which would soon turn into ash.

After a few seconds, all the rank 5 men had turned to ash in the wind.

“How can it be? He is actually” The black armored man was scared silly, he immediately decided to make a run for it. ‘The reports are wrong! He is far stronger than we thought! I must quickly deliver this information!’ The black armored man even used a secret technique which shortened his lifespan in exchange for speed.

Ludokai just looked at this man in pity an slowly extended his hand. The black armored man which was already hundreds of meters away stopped in mid running motion. Afterwards he began to take run backwards! It was exactly as if a recording was being played in reverse!

Soon the black armored man was in his original position.

“How can it be? He is actually” After saying a few words he was confused. ‘Did I say something similar before?’ However just as he was planning to make a run for his life he felt a light tap on his forehead and immediately lost consciousness.

A few seconds later he had already turned to ash in the wind

Ludokai just shook his head. He was starting to get annoyed by all these trash. ‘Maybe it’s time for me to move to the central territories Although the Northern Empire is very strong Its influence is much weaker in the central territories I’ll be safer there. After all, who knows when a true expert will begin hunting me down’

After making quick plans within his head the youth began walking towards the south.

Meanwhile in the Lightning Valley, two days had already passed since Mars and Ena began training.

Mars body was already full of blood and wounds. He was very close from finishing forming his second powersource and completing the crystallization of his power. However he was also very close to his limit as well. Ena had it easier though, only small amounts of energy would get into her body through Mars’ efforts. Since it was Mars who took the hit from every lightning, he was the one bearing most of the burden.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Several tens of red lightning strikes fell on the hole Mars and Ena were hiding. After a moment of silence, a powerful aura which was twice as powerful as Mars original aura streamed from inside the cave.

“Finally! It’s done!”
