Mars thought he should try fighting with his own strength. These opponents were all injured and their battle strength would probably be around 2000 which was enough for Mars to handle. In the past six months he had not been able to increase his power level at all due to the stabilization of his path gem, however he had been able to strengthen his body several times. His overall strength had still increased a little bit compared to his strength six months ago.

Mars immediately summoned his path gem and a wild aura full of electrical currents immediately gushed out from his body.

Brittany who was just sighing relief for receiving Mars help a while ago was suddenly stunned silly. ‘His aura is actually much weaker than mine how what do we do now? Was my judgement wrong? Isn’t this guy supposed to be a mighty expert?’

On the other hand the middle aged man leading the second group was also startled by Mars sudden claim about helping his enemies. He was preparing himself to fight a tough enemy, however the moment Mars released his aura he couldn’t help but burst out laughing. Although he was surprised this guy was actually a lightning user, in the end his aura was far too weak.

“Hahahahahaha! Brittany is this the help and hope you bitterly sought? What a joke! The kid is not even at rank 4!” The middle aged man mocked.

Mars did not bother with the exchange of words with these individuals. He calmly placed Persian on the floor and gave him some orders silently.

Arcs of lightning rapidly gathered in his palm. And in the blink of an eye Mars had already gathered a lemon sized ball of concentrated lightning.

Mars then tightened his fist and the ball of lightning made a bursting sound and a flash of light instantly enveloped everyone.

This flash of light was so bright and sudden that everyone lost their vision momentarily.

The second group which had just arrived was surprised by this sudden turn of events. However they quickly reacted and dashed backwards. They all knew how dangerous it was to suddenly lose vision. Fortunately this attack blinded Brittany’s squad as well.

After a couple breaths of time everyone regained their vision. They were all high ranking experts and their recovery abilities were several times greater than regular human beings.

The middle aged man face turned gloomy once he saw his surroundings. Previously there were quite a few rank 3 experts within his squad however they had all been swiftly eliminated in this short period of time.

He even saw a rank 4 expert who had a big slash on his back. The middle aged man guessed he only survived that attack due to a last second reaction. However with that injury his fighting prowess would drop even further.

Brittany and her squad were also surprised by the results. Maybe hope was not lost yet Maybe they would be able to escape alive…

Having this thought she signaled her squad members to prepare for battle.

“”Wait, where is the kid?””

Everyone in the field suddenly had this doubt. Mars swiftly answered this question. A thunder boomed from the skies and a figure enveloped in arcs of electricity fell like a thunderbolt from the clouds and pierced his sword on the head of a rank 4 expert from the enemy squad.

Boom!

Mars quickly pulled his bloody sword and stepped back.

He was satisfied with the results from his ambush.

He previously used a technique called blinding flash. This technique obviously blinds opponents sight by releasing a sudden flash of light. Unfortunately it only works once. His opponents would protect their eyes with their energy after seeing this attack for the first time, turning this technique useless after the first use.

“Damn it! Attack! Kill them now!” The middle aged man was enraged by the sudden turn of events and immediately ordered.

“Attack! They might be more than us but they don’t have any experts which are as strong as ours!” Brittany also gave her orders and each rank 4 member sought two enemies to battle.

Mars did the same thing and confronted two rank 4 experts as well.

This way the eight rank 4 experts from the enemy squad were entangled in battle. The remaining enemy rank 4 expert was the one who was slashed and injured by Mars when he blinded everyone, he was confronted by four rank 3 members from Brittany’s squad.

Mars was suddenly excited. He was finally going to fight a serious battle. He was a bit tired of doing so many ambushes to be honest.

Although he could often kill far stronger enemies through an ambush, he would not be able to ambush his opponents all the time either. In a forest he might have resorted to hiding among trees after launching a deadly attack. But he currently was in an open field. It was already impressive that he could ambush and kill a rank four expert so swiftly.

Currently he was fighting two opponents which were stronger than himself, however due to their injuries he could clash against them head on without much of a disadvantage.

As Mars saw his two opponents approach he channel electric currents through his leg and then stumped the ground.

Bam!

The ground worked as conduit for the electrical currents and they instantly zapped his two incoming opponents.

Feeling the sudden numbness the two experts which were dashing towards Mars suddenly stumbled. Luckily their strength was great so they quickly managed to recover and avoided falling. However their momentum and balance were still disrupted.

Mars took this chance and quickly used the lightning flash movement art to appear next to one opponent and this time he did not use his sword to attack but his palm.

Slam!

His opponent barely managed to react however he still managed to raise his arm guard and successfully defended the palm strike. Unfortunately this palm strike was not simple. After this palm strike landed the expert felt a strong repulsive force and he was immediately sent flying several hundred meters away.

Since Mars had control of electricity he obviously could create magnetic forces. This palm strike was called repulsion palm. Although this palm strike was not particularly lethal, it was a very useful in repeling opponents. Since Mars guessed his sword slash would probably be blocked, he used this palm strike instead in order to send his opponent away from battle.

Slash!

The other expert had finally recovered and immediately sent a wind slash towards Mars. Twisting his body to the left, Mars barely managed to avoid this attack and he countered by summoning several lightning bolts from his fingertips.

Boom!

His opponent quickly side stepped several times and avoided each attack with ease. Mars kept unleashing lightning bolts however none of them could hit his opponent. Mars attacks looked a bit chaotic and he even left several openings after each attack. After avoiding several attacks the expert realized that this kid wasn’t that tough and he quickly closed the distance between him and Mars by going through the gaps between his opponents attacks.

When Mars saw this happen a gleam flashed deep within his eyes.

The expert infused his sword with wind energy and with a sudden burst of speed he appeared in front of Mars in the blink of an eye. At this moment the expert’s sword was just a few centimeters away from Mars neck. He could already envision Mars’ head flying through the air.

Clank!

However he felt his sword getting parried and his attack was sent flying in another direction. A sudden sense of crisis overwhelmed him and he quickly stepped back.

Slash!

Blood splashes all over the place and an arm flew to the sky.

“Ahh!” The expert couldn’t even tell what had happened however he saw his arm flying flying in mid air and then a sudden pain overwhelmed him.

Mars knew he couldn’t delay things so he baited his opponent to close combat and with his peerless sword arts he nearly killed off his opponent in a quick exchange.

Mars was about to dash towards his opponent and finish him off however he suddenly felt the ground beneath his feet tremble. Without hesitation he quickly jumped several meters high. Following his jump several spikes rose from the ground.

If Mars hadn’t moved, his body would had been pierced and he would had died right there and then.

Although several attacks were exchanged, all of this happened in a few breaths of time.

The previous expert which had been sent flying away joined the battle again. He was going to help his companion first but seeing that Mars was in mid air this expert thought it was a good opportunity so he decided to attack his enemy instead.

The ground moved under his feet and soon enough he was covered in earth armor and several spears rose from the floor. Extending his hand the expert gripped one earth spear tightly and threw it at Mars with a lot of strength.

The spear was traveling so fast it caused a sonic boom. If it landed on Mars it would easily pierce through his body and it might kill him. A few instants later several spears flew straight towards Mars causing several sonic booms to echo through the planes.

Mars knew things had suddenly gotten complicated and with a quick movement from his arm, a whip made of lightning extended for tens of meters and in a single motion it quickly coiled around a rock. Mars made a pulling motion and he changed directions in mid air, barely avoiding a flying spear which had almost pierced through his body.
