The Nine Lords Of Order - Chapter 34

Mars quickly landed on the ground and regained his balance.

The earth attribute expert made some hand gestures and several earth spikes rose from the ground and pierced straight towards Mars. However now with his feet on land Mars’ speed and agility were far greater than in the air.

He swiftly dodged the earth spikes and arrived before the earth attribute expert within seconds. Lightning covered his sword and he pierced towards the expert’s heart. However this expert wasn’t just some nobody. He reacted accordingly and he tried to parry Mars sword with a swing from his spear. However just when he thought his spear was going to clash with Mars’ sword, nothing occured.

The expert saw his opponent’s sword had mysteriously changed position and it was now piercing towards his abdomen.

Clank!

Mars felt he just hit a tough wall and his sword bounced back after clashing against this expert’s earth armor, he even took two steps back. The earth attribute expert was completely unharmed, but the force of the attack pushed him several meters away.

This was the first time Mars couldn’t pierce straight through an opponent after an attack landed.

‘So tough!’ Mars finally became aware of how powerful this man before him actually was.

Feeling a gust of wind coming behind his back, Mars used the lightning flash to sidestep and performed a circular motion with his sword.

Splash! Blood flew all over the place and a second arm flew into the air.

The guy with the missing arm was the one who had suddenly ambushed Mars from behind. He previously had a frenzied expression on his face but it now was twisting with pain. He couldn’t believe he had lost an arm in the previous clash with this kid. Seeing an opportunity he tried to kill Mars in his anger by ambushing him from behind, but his attack was easily dodged and he had his other arm chopped instead!

Taking advantage of this moment Mars made another swing with his sword and this time it was his head which was separated from his body and fell to ground. Without an arm, his strength had dropped and a lot of his energy leaked out. Mars had no trouble in dealing with such a weakened opponent.

“Bastard!”

Mars only took an instant to finish off his opponent but it just took an instant as well for the earth attribute expert to close the gap between them and pierce his spear towards him.

Mars knew this attack possesed the earth attribute so he did not bother trying to parry such a heavy blow. Without having enough time to avoid the spear he decided to block.

Clank! His sword resisted for a second but it was soon split in half. Mars flew backwards for tens of meters however he quickly regained his footing after stumbling for a while. Looking down he saw his sword which was less than half its original length and couldn’t help but feel a bit sad. He had been gifted this sword by Old Man Hemarc. To think it would break today.

“My sword Fucker! Dare to break my sword!” Mars clenched his fist and using his fastest speed he increased the distance between him and the earth attribute expert by several hundred meters. He then performed a few hand gestures and made a grasping motion towards the sky.

Rumble! Rumble!

Dark clouds quickly gathered and a lightning strike quickly fell from the clouds and landed on Mars’ palm. However this lightning did no dissipate nor was it absorbed. It just stayed within Mars’ hand. Soon several more lightning strikes fell.

The earth attribute expert did not know what Mars was doing but he could tell Mars was preparing a very powerful attack. He guessed he wouldn’t be fast enough to disrupt Mars attack so he stumped the ground and several earth walls rose from the ground and formed a powerful shield around him.

After several lightning strikes had fallen on Mars’ palm he used half of his remaining energies to send an even more powerful lightning strike towards the clouds above.

Rumble! Rumble!

Arcs of electricity moved in a mysterious pattern among the clouds and an aura of utter destruction overwhelmed every living creature below.

The expert was already awed by this arcane technique his opponent was using and his body was shaking in fear. Even the other people who were having fierce battles were startled by the aura and sudden changes in the sky.

Taking a deep breath Mars slowly pointed his finger towards the place where his enemy was standing and softly said, “Fall!”

Boom! The dark clouds in the sky suddenly dropped lower and stirred in spiral forming a majestic sight.

The earth attribute expert was still in awe towards his opponent’s technique but the next second a thunder roared across the lands and only a hundred meter crater remained in the place where he was standing.

He was completely annihilated and no trace of his existence was left behind. Not even ash. All the defenses he had prepared were nowhere to be seen as well!

The last thing he saw when he was alive was a blinding light but he would have never guessed that he would die just like this. He couldn’t even tell when he was attacked by or what the attack was. If he had known that his opponent had such a fierce move he would had tried to stop him from completing such a fearsome technique at all costs!

The blinding light and the roar of thunder caused every fight to suddenly stop.

Silence permeated the area for a few seconds before someone finally spoke.

“A World technique! That’s definitely a World technique!” An expert with a trembling voice suddenly said in astonishment.

“Only such technique would be able to make use of the world in order to unleash such power” Another expert seemed to agree with the statement and added.

“Could he be the son of a big family?”

“To perform a World technique the prerequisite is to have a 5-star path That guy is probably a chosen!” Another expert said in astonishment.

“Probably? He definitely a chosen!” Someone else retorted.

Brittany was also shocked by what just happened. Although the battle before seemed somewhat long due to the quantity of attacks exchanged only a little more than two minutes had gone by since the fight started.

This youth before her had taken out so many experts in such a short period of time! He even used a mighty world technique of legends! What surprised her the most was that Mars was clearly only a rank 3 expert! How did he figure out a way to perform a World technique with such a low rank?

After this attack Mars’ face paled but he swiftly recovered his countenance. He knew this attack was going to be powerful, but he did not know how powerful! To think it just turned his opponent to ash No, even less than ash!

Mars even thought that this attack was so fierce that the word overkill wasn’t enough to explain what just happened.

The name of this technique was quite simple. ‘Fall’.

Under normal circumstance he wouldn’t be able to use this technique however he was relatively close to the Lightning Valley and the concentration of Lightning attribute worldly energy was very high in this place. Thanks to this factor Mars managed to cause the condensation of a lightning cloud in the sky and then forcefully summoned some lightning strikes.

The lightning strikes which fell were not meant to be used by him but were a way for him to connect with the world. After gathering enough lightning strikes Mars sent a Lightning Strike back to the clouds infused with his own path gem aura.

He owned a 7-star path when the Lightning strike with his aura reached the clouds all the lightning attribute worldly energy in the surroundings was quickly stirred. Mars then directed his aura towards his enemy along with his intent to kill.

This was pretty much an attack from the world rather than Mars’. It was for this reason this sort of techniques was called World techniques

.It was at this moment Mars realized an important truth ‘My greatest attacks do not come to be when I manipulate lightning to perform all sort of abstract techniques but when I embrace the truest nature of lightning and use that nature to strike my enemies! The power of nature is the power of the world itself!’

Although he had all sorts of techniques within his memories he had to learn the best way to use them and he had to test them to figure out how useful these techniques actually are.

Today he had the intentions to test this technique and the results were terrific. He guessed than even himself in the overcharge state would be hard pressed to survive such strong attack even with his resistance towards lightning.

Mars had the intention to fight all these enemies by himself at first but after he used ‘Fall’ he was almost out of energy.

He called for the Lynx, “Persian! Take care of everyone but Brittany’s squad.”
