The Obsessive Second Male Lead Has Gone Wild - Chapter 15
In a blatant manner, Kaneshel bowed his head to resist the laughter.
She responded by teasing Kaneshel.
Rurutia smiled and spoke with dignity. “Where would you go and see this kind of architecture? It’s a unique look that can’t be easily seen elsewhere, so it’s
not boring.”
Kaneshel quietly opened his mouth after all of her remarks were over. “I was afraid you would’ve changed your mind because the place is so hopeless.”
With a smile on his face, Cronu approached them, perhaps having eavesdropped on their conversation from behind.
“Don’t worry. We’ll do our best to fill in the gaps. In the words of the Young-Love, there are more than fifty paladins who will jump to their feet to help you.”
Finding security with his weapon, Kaneshel raised his finger to his sword handle, which hung on his hips.
“It’s a good place to stay.”
Cronu wanted to say something more, but he held his breath and kept his mouth shut.
Rurutia looked at Kaneshel’s fingers, with the handle slapping to his limbs. It was slender and delicate, which she couldn’t believe were the fingers of a man who holds a sword.
His face is perfect. He is like a sculpture made from a deft hand.
He noticed Rurutia staring at his fingers, and he pulled out his black leather gloves and forced them on. He saw Cronu standing next to her.
“I want to have a conversation with Cronu alone, Brucke.”
The other cronies, determined to stay, bent over their exaggerated work so that they could listen some more.
Cronu then saw them and said, “I didn’t notice them before. If you want them to go, you’ll just have to say you want to talk with me alone!”
“Cronu.”
Rurutia stood by and was stunned. His voice, without the highs and lows, was quiet if interpreted nicely. However, Cronu’s voice seemed so cheap that his surroundings seemed to freeze in an instant.
With the chilling words of the Commander, everything began to resume as it was, and Cronu corrected his stance.
“I’m sorry. I’m going to step back.”
Cronu disappeared like a runaway.
“Well, Brucke Spirit.”
As soon as Cronus disappeared, he became as calm as before.
No matter how paladin, his original identity was that of a free man.
Even if he had studied as a senior clergyman, in hindsight, he will soon be born to his future self and thereby embracing the confident demeanor of his true
being.
But he escorted Rurutia, nonetheless, as a man of high regard and a perfect example of morality.
The place they headed for was the building where the female guests visited the temple.
It was managed with care because it was also a place where Mrs. Young Anna, a famous disciple, often came for mental discipline, stayed.
Although it was less furnished and less decadent than the building of the servants of the Duke of Brucke’s residence, at least there was no need to worry
about stumbling over something.
She was worried about what would happen if it was more shabby here than inside the Paladin’s building, but she was relieved to see if it was in better shape than she thought.
“Here you are. Please wait in the parlor as the servants are still cleaning up your room.”
The priest led her to the parlor.
It was not the parlor that they entered, but a small closet-size room, which looked like it could only house one person.
“Look, there’s a tea table. The parlor is here, right? Is that right?’
“Come on. Let’s wait here.”
The room felt cozy enough to feel like a family space.
Rurutia followed him and drank her tea quietly. The smell of dirt was so severe that she almost spewed out her tea, but she managed to swallow it entirely.
It was he who opened his mouth first.
“It’s not too late to introduce. I am Kaneshel Incruder, who serves as the Paladin of the Cresentian denomination.”
It was really a little late, but it wasn’t too late to point out that this was the guy who ignored all the tall-tale signs and touched lips with her.
“I’d like to get to know you some more, Rurutia Brucke.”
He looked quietly at Rurutia.
