The Opportunity System - Chapter 20 Finally Back

Right now, Hiro was deep into the forest.

Before he went to rescue the boy, he knew exactly the way to go back. But now, he was completely lost.

“Aoooouuu!”

Suddenly, he heard howls all around him. “There are a lot of puppies today, huh?” His fearlessness would not last long.

When the first wolf went arrived, he was confident, even though he knew there would be more coming. The wolf looked at the dead wolves and then stared at Hiro angrily.

“Heh, why don’t you talk with me?”

When Hiro said this, the wolf was stunned. “How did you know… ?”

Hiro didn’t respond. With the howls, Hiro knew they were coming in groups.

‘Killing them all together will give me a lot of experience, heheh…’

One big wolf surged from behind him while another three jumped from the bushes around him.

“A big chat group, indeed. Come on, my packages of exp!” With five wolves surrounding him, Hiro was not feeling any fear nor panic. But, when more and more kept coming one after another, he was starting to feel a pressure.

“Huh? Is it my imagination, or the ones who are coming right now are getting bigger?”

Before he could realize, the little puppies were not little puppies anymore. There was at least a hundred of them.

“If it’s not like this, how can I become stronger…?” Saying some words to encourage himself, he was full of guts again. “Is this over? Can I slaughter you all now?”

None of the wolves spoke. The wolves started to split in the crowd to make way for a bigger wolf.

“Great Leader! I was the first to arrive here, he already knows that we can speak the human’s language.”

Unlike the other wolves, the one whose title was Great Leader had snow white fur and blue eyes. “I understand, let me do it. You guys, don’t do anything.” The Great Leader had a lot of authority, all of the wolves sat in the place and just observed.

Like a noble, the white wolf went straight to Hiro and asked, “Who are you, and why did you kill some of my men?”

Hiro was expecting a full attack from the wolves, not a dialogue. “I don’t really know how to answer but, I’m Hiro, and your men were trying to kill a child, that was the reason.”

Nodding, the Great Leader said, “Since my men started, we shouldn’t pursue this matter again. Walk away from this area.”

Hiro actually wanted to kill some puppies on the way to earn some experience, but he never expected to meet a polite wolf. “Ah, okay then.”

The wolves started to stand and prepared to leave. Hiro suddenly said, “Wait, can you tell me what place is the best to hunt? I’m not familiar with this area.”

Looking at Hiro, the white wolf calmly said, “Go southwest, there you can find giant toad nests.”

“Okay, thank you. One more thing, how can I go out of this forest?”

“Should I hunt those toads or just go back?” When the wolves left, the sky was turning dark already. “Nah, I’ll go back. Who knows what might happen in the dark. I can kill the toads another day.”

Walking calmly, Hiro spent five hours to reach Miwa’s house, the sun couldn’t be seen anymore.

He usually stayed out for only four hours, but today, he was out for almost double the time.

Seeing the mansion, he realized that something was not right. The guards who usually stands in the entrance couldn’t be seen, while the gate was closed. They should be staying guard twenty-four ours, Hiro thought.

Getting closer to the gate, he saw that the guards were there… lying on the ground.

“What happened?!”

Hearing someone shouting next to him, one of the guards opened his mouth and said, “Hi-Hiro, assassins came… Save Lady… Miwa. They… came not long ago.”

Listening to the guard silently, Hiro didn’t spend more time with him and hurriedly went to the mansion. Opening the gate forcefully, he ran to the entrance door. The door was half open, with a few drops of blood next to it.

Hiro went directly to Miwa’s bedroom. Before he could get to the bedroom, he heard a girl scream.

Leina was fighting against two men, both were wearing a dark red hood. “Haa, who sent you?! Is it the Zaion people?!”

The two men, after listening to Leina, “Yes, we are here to kill the Zaion girl.”

Both of them attacked Leina together. Picking two kitchen knives, Leina was not going to let them do as they wish.

“Stupid girl, you’re already dead!” One of them was holding a thin and tiny knife, made to pierce into meat.

The one with the tiny knife pierced Leina’s left arm, while the other had his stomach pierced by Leina. “Guoh! You bit*h!”

Leina frowning because of the pain. The assassin who didn’t get hurt attacked again, but before he attacked, he felt someone behind him.

Hiro was standing without moving behind the assassin, with his burning with rage, literally. “Who the hell are you?! Ah! You’re the boy that’s always following the little bit*h!”

Sensing danger, the assassin was forced to take a step back.

“You bastard, you dare to try to kill Miwa?!”

“Mr. Hiro! We need to kill these guys quickly! Lady Miwa is inside the bedroom, she is wounded!”

Without saying a word, Hiro jumped and gave a fire punch to the assassin.

‘It’s over!’ Hiro thought.

But, the assassin was not some rookie, he was a professional. He dodged Hiro’s punch and gave another punch in Hiro’s stomach.

Hiro was stunned. “How…? I’m at level twenty! Level twenty! How could a normal person do this?”

“Nonsense! You will die here!” The assassin was a bit confused with Hiro’s fire magic, but nevertheless, he took another knife and pointed to Hiro.

Seeing this, Leina was sure of one thing, ‘Mr. Hiro is not ready to fight these men, I need to do something!’
