The Opportunity System - Chapter 9 A Possible New Party Member

Miwa, Haugust and the Norman family head witnessed something incredible today.

They saw one man being punched, that wasn’t that uncommon, but the man actually flew after the punch.

The punch was so strong that the target flew, stopping when he crashed into the front gate.

With eyes wide, the Norman’s family head was para stunned. After a few seconds not being able to process what happened in front of him, he ran to his son.

Hiro was looking down at his hands. They were still burning with a black fire.

“Hi-Hiro, your hands, they are burning.”

The one who spoke was Miwa, Haugust still in shock.

“I don’t feel anything, don’t worry.”

Giving her a smile, she saw the sincerity in his eyes.

“Hiro, what kind of power do you have? I was so impressed!”

Haugust was stunned at first, but seeing that pig being crushed, he satisfied and grateful.

“I guess this is fire.”

The old man who rushed to his son’s side was desperately trying to wake his son.

“Hey, hey, my son! Wake up!”

Realizing that his son might have died, he stood and looked at Hiro.

“You! You murderer! I will ask His Majesty to bring justice to me!”

The man left hurriedly carrying his destroyed son.

“That pig left, huh?”

Haugust was looking at the gate, feeling somewhat happy, he said.

“Well, what happened, happened, there’s no reason to avoid the situation anymore. Guards! Go fix the gate!”

The guards answered and left hastily, leaving Miwa, Haugust, and Hiro.

“As we hadn’t time before, I will now show you your room. Follow me.”

After passing many doors, they arrived at Hiro’s room.

“This is a guest room, if you want anything, just call a room maid, they can take care of your needs. We will be on the second floor, let’s go, Miwa.”

“Wait, I still have some things to talk with him.”

Inside, he was burning, but he showed a smile, nevertheless.

“Sure, don’t sleep too late.”

Haugust left, there was only Miwa and Hiro.

“So, what do you want to talk with me?”

“Hmm, I wanted to thank you, that guy was bothering me for a long time. I think that he won’t get near me anymore.”

Embarrassed, Hiro responded:

“Haha, don’t worry, he was really an idiot-”

Then, time stopped again.

‘Hiro, this is the chance, this woman might be waiting for you to praise her! Say something good for her, you will certainly get her heart!’

“Waaaaait! This system helps even when talking to women?”

‘Of course! There’s a function in the system called ‘Relationship’, you have enabled it. This will make things easier!’

“Is not it wrong to do this? I mean, this is like a cheat, a good one, but still a cheat.”

‘Just go for that!’

After thirty seconds, everything was normal again.

“Right, he is an idiot who keeps pestering me.”

“Right…I mean, how could he do that to someone like you? You’re a graceful, beautiful and kind girl, he should be in prison, no one talks like that with you.”

Miwa was stunned, she didn’t say anything.

“Hmm, Miwa?”

“Ah, errm, so, I will go to sleep now, good night.”

She just left like this.

“Sleep? But it’s just 5 in the afternoon, and that reaction…If I’m not wrong, that reaction was of rejection! I should not trust the system with this kind of thing anymore.”

Desolated, Hiro entered his room.

Lying down in her bed, Miwa was thinking about the words she heard from Hiro. Her heart was somehow beating faster and her face was a bit red.

Miwa once heard that a girl became obsessed and did some crazy things because the man she loved rejected her, she thought that it was stupid.

She kept thinking about what Hiro said to her.

What were those words supposed to mean? Did he like me, or it was just to comfort me?

It’s true that she had just sixteen years, but she wasn’t stupid at all. She didn’t have any experience in this, but she wasn’t someone who would deceive herself.

Even though she was new to all of this, by her reactions, she was sure about one thing, that she might really like Hiro in that way.

Maybe it was his actions that moved her or the time they spent together. They didn’t go through a lot of situations together, but she knew his personality and he knew hers. They could be considered friends, at least.

Usually, she was a very strict and direct person, and now, she was hesitating. Just to think about it, she was becoming frustrated.

“What if I tell him about what I feel and he was just trying to say some nice things with no other intentions? I will act like an idiot!”

“Right! I won’t tell him, I need to be certain that he likes me, or I will be just shaming myself!”

Hiro was frustrated with the system, he thought that he should have turned off that function, this way he wouldn’t bring shame to himself.

Opening the system, he unchecked the ‘relationship’ option, then he went to see what other things he could do with the system.

Then he remembered that he didn’t level up, so things didn’t change at all. But he scrolled down just pass time.

In the Party section, he saw that something was different.

Looking at the change, he saw a tiny icon on top of it. Focusing his eyes on it, a window appeared out of nowhere.

‘New allies are available.’

“New…allies?”

The information was not over.”

‘…Allies can be added when their trust in you as the leader is higher than normal.’

“Wow, maybe it’s Miwa? The only one I had good interaction these past few days was her.”

Opening the ‘available’ icon, a name came out.

“Whaaaaaa!”

This name was not an unknown one, he saw that person today.
