The Perfect War Story……. - Chapter 85
‘ Love? Why is he getting all mushy on me? Why do I feel all this was a big mistake? After all the man had a five year long crush on me, at least that is what he said yesterday, Maybe he is just fooling around! I know him so well. He has no ethics or values. He does everything for money. A man like him can never fall in love!’
He girl pondered, while still looking at the phone’s screen, eating her porridge slowly.
‘Did he actually not use a protection? Oh god, I really need to find it out soon.’
Linda turned up her head looking at her mother, who was already looking at Linda, with narrow eyes. “Girl why are you not eating your porridge? It is good to work but you need to take care of your diet too. Put down your phone and eat first” She spoke chewing her extra buŧŧery pancake.
“Later mother. I will eat something in the office. I have to rush. All the best for your charity event,” she quickly got up from her seat giving a quick peck on her mother’s cheek rushing towards the garage. She quickly pressed the buŧŧon to open the garage and several cars were parked one after the other, all new and high models. A black colour car which looked comparatively old and was indeed a medium ranged Mercdez Benz was what Linda drove from past one year. She did not believe in spending too much money and thus maintained a respectable yet humble standard of life. The rest of the cars were used by her mother, who often changed her cars to show off to her friend’s circle.
She quickly sat in the driver’s seat and drove the car outside her house rapidly, driving towards the man’s office. In another thirty minutes the girl had now entered a beautiful and cosy looking cafe, which was beautifully decorated with modern abstract paintings. Several people were sitting on the comfortable couches, sipping their coffee and munching heir snacks.
This was the place where Austin always preferred to have coffee from, first thing in his office routine. It was Linda’s duty to fetch him his type of coffee every morning from this cafe, while she worked under him. She scanned the area and spotted Austin sitting in one corner, reading something on his tablet. The man was dressed impeccably in a formal suit and Linda had to admit the man was indeed too handsome.
“No wonder I ended up sleeping with him. The man surely has got killer looks.” She whispered walking towards him.
Austin looked up casually and noticed the girl approaching him. A wide smile automatically appeared on his face and he could not help but look at the girl’s curves from head to toe. ‘Woahh! I wish I could open this dress right now. She looks amazing. Just look at that cleavage, makes me want to pull down her dress.’
Austin got up from his seat graciously, smiling at the girl. “Hi, Linda. It is nice to see you again.’
“It’s nice to see you too.” Linda smiled as Austin ushered the girl towards a comfortable seat right in front of him.
“Bad hangover? Eh?’ Austin smiled, trying to start up a conversation. He did not want to make it too much straight to the point or boring. He was glad he got the chance to meet the girl once again.
“Yeah. I do not drink so much. Not so used to it.” Linda nodded her head keeping it to the point and crisp.
“Hmm.. right. Would you like to order a coffee?” Austin asked another question. Hoping this time the girl would be a little more detailed.
“No thanks.” She replied again and nodded her head in a ‘no’.
There was a dead silence and the two of them looked at each other in awkwardness.
“So, you were kidding right?’ Linda finally spoke up.
“About what? No I actually had a wonderful time with you. I was not kidding.” Austin spoke up looking at the girl’s beautiful and luscious lips once again wanting to kiss them.
“No, not that! About using the protection. I am sure you are mȧturė enough to use a ċȯndȯm.” Linda shrugged her shoulders stating the obvious.
Austin looked at the girl for a few seconds who was more than blunt with him. ‘Is this all you want to know? Nothing else?’
“what else would I want to know Austin?’ Linda once again shrugged her shoulder pouting her lips thinking hard. “Is not this the most important thing? Protection.” She swung her hands a bit, trying to prove her point.
*sigh* “Yes, I did use a protection and I was just messing around with you Linda over the message. Anything else you want to ask?’ he looked at the girl feeling a bit dejected. This is not the kind of meeting he had in mind. He had planned to have a nice romantic coffee with the girl, as they plan their next date or a nice candle light dinner.
“Oh thank god. Otherwise I would actually have to rush and buy a pill and see your medical records.” She sighed in relief, holding her bag in her hands, picking it up from the table, ready to leave.
“That is it?” Austin asked once again.
“Umm.. Yes, what else?” Linda frowned looking in his eyes.
“You do not want to talk about yesterday night? How you felt or how special it was to you?” he frowned a bit looking at the girl who was acting extremely casual now. “Was this all so normal for you? Sleeping with somebody after getting drunk?’
Linda sighed again rolling her eyes looking at him. Austin was taking the conversation to exactly where she wanted to avoid it to go.” Listen Austin, we were drunk and it happened. Not that it has ever happened with me before but we are humans and we have hormones. We did it and get over it now! Why are you making fuss about it?’ she spoke in an angry tone looking straight in his eyes.
