The Perfect War Story……. - Chapter 95
The girl gasped in shock as she had inadvertently left hold of the ladder which had now fallen right on top of the boy’s body, hitting him very hard.
“Aaoouuuuuu!!” the boy screamed in pain as the ladder hit him on his head and his arms. His back was already scratched much as he was not even wearing his shirt. The girl stood stupefied as she spotted her mother, in her night gown running to thrash the thief.
“There he is guards, catch him! I shall call the police.” The lady shouted running towards Austin.
Linda gasped in shock a she spotted the guards and her mother running towards Austin. She noticed that the old lady did not have a rod but a large broom in her hand and the guards had hefty licensed guns in their hands.
“No wait. Don’t’ say anything to him.” Linda shouted in much terror as she knew that the boy as soon going to be beaten or probably the police would be called creating an uncomfortable situation. Though the girl did not want her mother to know that Austin was sneaking in her room, but having the cops at her place was much more embarrassing.
As soon as the girl shouted everybody halted and turned their necks to look at the girl standing in the balcony. Linda pursed her lips and held the ends of the knot tightly, feeling self-conscious. Clearly everybody had figured out that the girl was all nȧkėd and wrapped in sheets where as the boy was shirtless, which meant something dodgy was going between them.
The guards immediately halted looking at Linda and then walked away giggling a bit. Linda’s mother quickly ran looking at the fallen boy, with much apprehension. She was now wondering who the boy was and was secretly praying that her daughter should be sleeping with at least an affluent guy. She ran speedily and looked at Austin’s face in astonishment.
Her heart was performing pleased cart wheels now as if her long awaited dream with had come true. Her daughter was just found nȧkėd with the richest bachelor of the entire nation. Austin was now dusting off the dirt from his arms and got up on his feet, whimpering a bit in pain. He had fallen from a pretty good height and his back as now hurting.
“Oh you poor boy. Are you ok? I m sorry, I took you as an intruder.” The lady spoke apologetically, holding the boy’s hand.
“Oh, it is not your fault aunty. Of course I would have reacted the identical way if I saw somebody climb down through a ladder in my house’s balcony.” The boy shrugged his shoulders. He had expected Linda’s mother to show some indignation but the lady was rather too sugary to him.
She started to dust off the boy’s arms and then furiously turned to gaze at Linda. “If you have to invite you boyfriend then there is way to do that. Look what you did to him.” The lady shouted looking at Linda purposely calling the boy her boyfriend.
“But…he is not …not” Linda looked at her mother in disbelief but suddenly Austin intervened.
“Oh I am so sorry aunty. It is not her blunder. I wanted to give her a surprise. She had no idea about it.” The boy spoke looking at the heated lady.
The lady looked at the boy’s scratched back and bleeding elbow and turned to look at Linda. “Get dressed and come down lady. Bring the first aid kid and get down immediately.”
Linda nodded her head and rushed back to her room feeling tremendously humiliated. She quickly changed into her night gown and rushed out of the room. In the meanwhile, the boy was cheerfully ushered to the living room, and he too gladly entered the room as he was being considered as the girl’s boyfriend.
Linda quickly opened a drawer from the living room of the first floor and took out a gigantic red colour medical kit from it. She then ran down the stairs feeling awfully tongue-tied. As if the boy climbing the balcony was not enough now her mother too had found out about it. And the worst part was that she was nȧkėd and the boy is not even her boyfriend.
As soon as she sprinted down the stairs she rolled her eyes looking at the sight in front of her. Her mother’s face was shimmering in cheerfulness and she was chatting to the boy sweetly as if he was unquestionably her future son in law. They both were sitting on the couch facing each other as if Austin was a visitor but not an intruder. “My son, would you like to have some water? Do you feel alright?”
“Oh thank you aunty. But I am good. ” The boy smiled back looking at the lovely lady. He was admiring just how hospitable and courteous Linda’s mother was little did he know that their were dollar signs spinning around the lady’s head.
Lind walked further ahead and then speedily took out a cotton wipe from inside it, dipping it in a cleansing solution.
Linda’s mother smirked looking at the two of them and then quickly got up from the couch. “I will go and prepare some fresh juice for the boy. You apply the medicine Linda and give him some painkillers too.” The lady wanted to give some alone time to the two of them so she quickly walked away blissfully towards the far end of the living room and then turned to the left entering the kitchen.
As soon as the heavy lady entered the kitchen she shrieked in joy. “Oh yes finally!! She had proved she is my daughter after all.”
