The Perfect War Story……. - Chapter 97
As soon as the girl finished rubbing the boy’s back she got up from the seat and walked away towards the bathroom at the extreme corner of the room, to wash off the medicine from her hands.
No sooner did the girl leave; her mother came sprinting from the kitchen holding a glass of juice in her hands. “Have this dear. You will feel better.”
“Thank you so much Mrs. Woods.” The boy smiled holding the juice in his hand. He was actually very parched and even one sip of juice felt like he had engulfed an entire ocean quenching his thirst.
“So dear, what have you both thought about marriage? Hope you are not on a look out for something casual with the girl.” The lady spoke a bit mischievously, trying to trap the boy. She knew it was the perfect moment to make the boy commit to wedding as the girl was not around
“Huh?” the boy who was sipping the juice choked at the lady’s question. “No… I mean yes, of course I… am serious about Linda and we will marry eventually. But we are focusing on careers first.” the boy took another big sip, in uneasiness.
“Oh your careers will keep going. You both are best in you work already. What else you want? Think about marriage so that I can talk to your mother about it. I will be meeting her tomorrow for an event. She is coming in the town.” The lady spoke in much cheerfulness.
“Ah yes.” The boy took another sip in uncertainty not knowing what to say to the lady.
“That is lovely my boy. I will talk to your mother. Don’t say anything to Linda. I will myself talk to her about it.” The lady got up ecstatically and walked away as she was successful in getting the boy’s yes. Now she needed to escape before Linda arrived.
Soon after a few seconds Linda arrived and smiled looking at the boy. “How are you feeling now?”
“Much better. And this juice was much needed.” The boy spoke cheerfully looking at the girl. He was confused about what to say to the girl, about what her mother just spoke but then the lady had strictly told him to not talk to Linda about it. He could not go against that lady.
“Great. Will you be able to drive by yourself?” the girl questioned sitting on the adjacent couch.
“Of course. And it is pretty late. You should sleep too. Good night.” The boy spoke up getting up from the couch and then he instantly walked away, still thinking about the conversation he just had with Linda’s mother.
Linda looked at the boy’s preceding figured and frowned a bit in puzzlement. She had expected another kiss or hug from the boy and not getting it was making her feel peculiar. ”what happened to him?”
Austin sat inside the car and took deep breaths. “Did I just agree to marry her?” the boy gaped at his reflection in mirror in much horror. “Marriage?”
The next morning…
9:00am
Sana, Linda’s mother was already geared up and was looking excitedly in her reflection in mirror. Her entire outfit was shouting ‘Burberry’ from head to toe as she wore a fawn cheque dress, with matching GUCCI heels. She had carried with herself a DIOR bag and looked at her face happily which was full of make in an endeavour to make it look wrinkle free and pointed.
She then walked out of the room wearing her D&G sunglasses and quickly sat on the dining table to eat her breakfast. Soon the table was loaded with pasta and Swiss rolls and the lady indulged in the dishes, while reading the latest gossip columns. “Tomorrow I will make sure Linda and Austin are in this column.” The lady smirked gladly and then started munching on the delicious food in front of her. After another few minutes of stuffing her stomach did the lady get up from her seat and walked out of the living room, towards the porch.
A brand new top model red colour shiny Ferrari was parked in the car while a well dressed driver was standing waiting for the lady.
“Good morning Mrs. Woods.” The driver bowed a little.
“Good morning. Please take me to the charity event.’ The lady spoke and sat inside the car at the back seat as the driver opened the door for her.
Soon the car sped off towards the heart of the city where the most exquisite charity event was being held. After another 30 minutes, did the driver enter a gigantic gate of a hotel crossing its lavish gardens.
Soon the car halted outside a gigantic glass door and looked out of the car and grinned. There were several camera people from the media who were covering the charity event which was supposed to be the most talked about event of the city. She adjusted her clothes and stepped out of the car, flashing her branded and costly clothes. Suddenly all the media people came rushing toward the petite lady and started clicking her pictures.
An elegant lady walked out of the car and several media people rushed to meet the charming lady. She smiled and posed for the cameras while Sana’s eyes were now shining brightly at the opportunity. The lady was none other than Austin’s mother, who was also extremely famous in the city. This was just the perfect moment for Sana to drop the bomb and she walked rapidly towards the lady dressed in beautiful red colour Prada gown. “Oh, hello Mrs. Turner. It is so good to see you
