The Perfect War Story……. - Chapter 98

“Hello. How are you dear.” The elegant lady smiled looking pleasingly at Sarah.

“I am good Mrs. Turner. I am so happy, I have met you. Last night I met your son, and I told him that I will talk to you about their marriage myself. It is obviously a shock finding him intruding my house. But it is fine, as he wants to marry my daughter Linda.” The lady smiled looking at the shocked Austin’s mother’s face.

Everywhere there were hushed noises of the media as they all were now recording the conversation between the two ladies. “Oh my god. That’s breaking news. There children are getting married to each other.”

“Get close to their faces. We need more details.” Spoke another camera person in much delight.

Austin’s mother was in disbelief, having heard the lady’s words. “Huh? He intruded your house? He wants to marry your daughter?” the lady gasped in a blow and held Sarah’s arm, taking her to one corner, as she spotted the media people recording them.

“Yes. Did he not tell you? Ohh. He might tell you today then.” Sarah smiled peeking at the camera people. Her work was already done and she was now feeling pompous of herself. “Oh, it’s not issue then. You can talk to Austin about it and the let me know. Alright see you around.” Sarah walked away trying to suppress her giggles, leaving behind the hocked lady.

Few hours later….

Linda was sitting inside a gigantic meeting room of the most popular liquor brand of the country. Her secretary was sitting by her side while they both were waiting for the opposition party to arrive. Linda was in the meanwhile studying the documents in her hand, once again. Just then few men dressed in impeccable suits entered the room and everybody turned to look at Linda.

“Hello Miss. Woods.” The CEO of the liquor company spoke up excitedly.

“Hello!” Linda nodded her head slightly replying to the CEO but looking at Austin. She was now bushing tremendously looking at the boy remembering her last night encounter with him. How could she forget how attracted she as to him yesterday and was willing to do anything with him?

“Hi, Linda. It is so good to see you again.” Smith gave a wide grin to the girl, giving her a loving side hug.

Linda hugged the boy back excitedly. The boy as now after all her best friend’s boyfriend and they both were already very serious about each other. “It is so good to see you too Smith.” She then turned to look at Austin and her smile faded away.

“Hi Linda, you look lovely today.” The boy smiled looking at the girl from head to toe.

Linda blushed a bit and nodded her head a bit and sat down on her seat. Soon everybody was settled down and the CEO of the liquor factory looked at Linda and smiled devilishly. “Miss Woods. Why cannot we just settle the matter amongst ourselves? Tell me the amount you want and you please take back the case. This way we all shall be happy.”

Linda gasped in astonishment and looked at the blonde CEO in surprise. “Do you think I am here to get a bribe? Have you not heard of my company reputation? You are a criminal do not forget that. You have killed so many people with your alcohol and so many of them are already critical. Do you think I will let go off you, for a simply amount of money? Hah!” Linda slammed the file on the table looking furiously at him.

The blonde CEO’s smiled faded away and he looked at Linda in much anger and frustration.

“Excuse me! But did you not say that your ingredients are perfectly fine and it is the rival company that has put you in this situation? Then why are you saying these words to Linda? Did I not tell you that I will only work with you if you are innocent? And here you are openly bribing the lady??” Austin spoke in much anger and got up from his seat turning to look a Smith. “Let us go Smith. We will cancel the contract with him. He is a criminal and I no longer work with such people. Let him hire some other lawyer and he will have to face my wrath.” The man adjusted his black oat and turned to look at Linda. “At no cost I can afford to defend a criminal!” he smiled looking at Linda and they both walked away instantly, leaving Linda spell bound.

Linda then turned to look at her secretary and nodded her head. “I guess the case is over for now. Let us also leave from here.” She turned to look at the blonde CEO sitting in much shock and she also left the room, with a wide smile on her face.

Her heart was now beating rapidly and she had a beautiful smile on her face. The boy had indeed changed and was now only taking up cases to fight the innocent. The girl was walking inside the corridor when her phone buzzed. She already knew that it was a message from Austin. She opened the message box and smiled looking at it.

Austin- ‘now do you believe me?’

Linda- ‘yes’

Austin- ‘now will you go on a date with me, tonight?’

Linda- ‘yes’

The girl typed the message and smiled happily as she was finally going on a date with the boy. Suddenly a notification from her manger appeared sending her link to a news article.

“Huh? Why is he sending me news?” The girl frowned and opened the article and gasped in shock. There was a gigantic picture of her and Austin, and it was announced in the article that as per both their mothers, the couple was about to get married soon. Linda clutched her phone tightly and screamed in anger. “Mooooom!!!!”

She quickly rushed towards her car, driving rapidly towards her home.
